a.m: To investiga.e depression, a.xiety, PTSD, a.d insomnia.levels a.ong Suda.ese citizens a.ter a.yea. ha. pa.sed since the sta.t of a.med Forces conflict in Suda.. Methods: a. online survey wa. distributed. It is composed of five pa.ts, covering the following a.ea.: 1) sociodemogra.hic da.a.2) depression a.sessment;3) genera.ized a.xiety disorder a.sessment;4) post-tra.ma.ic stress disorder a.sessment;a.d 5) insomnia.a.sessment. Sta.istica. Pa.ka.e for Socia. Sciences version 27 wa. used for da.a.a.a.ysis;frequency a.d percenta.e were used to describe the qua.ita.ive va.ia.les. Spea.ma.’s correla.ion a.a.ysis a.d Chi-squa.e test were used for correla.ion a.d a.socia.ion a.a.ysis;a.P-va.ue equa. to or less tha. 0.05 wa. considered sta.istica.ly significa.t. Results: The study included 283 pa.ticipa.ts, prima.ily fema.e (76.0%), with a.mea. a.e of 35.26 ± 6.96 yea.s. The ma.ority of pa.ticipa.ts were ma.ried (50.5%) a.d ha. a.university level of educa.ion (50.2%). a. the sta.t of the wa., 70.3% of pa.ticipa.ts were inside the wa. zones, a.d a. the time of da.a.collection, 73.5% were outside Suda.. The length of sta. in the wa. zone ra.ged from 1 to 300 da.s, with a.mea. of 48.59 ± 70.284 da.s. a.ditiona.ly, 63.3% of pa.ticipa.ts sta.ed tha. they did not receive a.y form of menta. hea.th intervention, a.d the rema.ning did not provide a. a.swer. There wa. a.high preva.ence of modera.e-severe depression (50.5%), modera.e a.xiety (35.3%), PTSD (56.5%), a.d sub-threshold insomnia.(53.4%) a.ong the pa.ticipa.ts. Correla.ion a.a.yses revea.ed a.socia.ions between demogra.hic fa.tors such a. sex, a.e, ma.ita. sta.us, a.d educa.ion a.d menta. hea.th issues. Nota.ly, fema.e pa.ticipa.ts showed a.higher preva.ence of PTSD (53.0%) compa.ed to ma.e pa.ticipa.ts (67.6%). Conclusions: There is a.substa.tia. impa.t of wa.-rela.ed tra.ma.on menta. hea.th, revea.ing a.high preva.ence of modera.e-severe depression, modera.e a.xiety, PTSD, a.d sub-threshold insomnia.a.ong the pa.ticip

In this work, new composite membra.es were successfully prepa.ed via.pha.e inversion technique using polyvinyl chloride(PVC) a.d polyvinylpyrrolidone(PVP) a. polymers a.d tetra.ydrofura.(THF) a.d N-methyl-2-pyrrolidone(NMP) a. solvents. The prepa.ed membra.es ha.e been cha.a.terized by sca.ning electron microscope(SEM), a.d fourier tra.sforms infra.ed spectroscopy(FTIR). The sca.ning electron microscope results prove tha. the prepa.ed membra.es a.e smooth a.d their pores a.e distributed throughout the whole surfa.e a.d bulk body of the membra.e without a.y visible cra.ks. The stress–stra.n mecha.ica. test showed a. excellent mecha.ica. beha.ior enha.ced by the presence of PVP in the prepa.ed membra.es. The membra.es performa.ce results showed tha. the sa.t rejection rea.hed 98% with a.high flux. This, in turn, ma.es the prepa.ed membra.es ca. be a.plied for sea.a.d bra.kish wa.er trea.ment through membra.e distilla.ion technology.

Objective: To eva.ua.e the hypocholesterolemic a.d hypotriglyceridemic a.tivities of four Ma.rbium vulga.e(M. vulga.e) herb extra.ts using Triton WR-1339-induced hyperlipidemia.in mice. Methods: Hyperlipidemia.wa. developed by intra.eritonea. injection of Triton(200 mg/kg body weight). The a.ima.s were divided into ma.n four groups of eight mice ea.h: norma. control group, hyperlipidemic control group, hyperlipidemic plus tween-40 control a.d trea.ed group. The fourth one wa. divided into four subgroups, petroleum ether extra.t group, chloroform extra.t group, ethyl a.eta.e extra.t group a.d metha.ol extra.t trea.ed group ea.h of them conta.ns two sub-sub group for trea.ing a.ima.s with two doses a. 0.1 a.d 0.25 LD50. Results: a.ter 7 h a.d 24 h of trea.ment, the intra.a.tric a.ministra.ion of a.l extra.ts ca.sed a.significa.t decrea.e of pla.ma.tota. cholesterol. Triglyceride levels were a.so significa.tly lowered by a.l extra.ts while petroleum ether produced the lowest decrea.ing level. Simila. results were observed for LDL-cholesterol concentra.ions. Furthermore, more pola. extra.ts(metha.ol a.d ethyl a.eta.e)-soluble fra.tions showed a.significa.t a.eliora.ive a.tion on eleva.ed a.herogenic index(a.) a.d LDL/HDL-C ra.ios, while these a.herogenic ma.kers were not sta.istica.ly suppressed by the chloroform a.d petroleum ether-soluble extra.t. Conclusion: The findings indica.ed tha. Ma.rubium ma. conta.n pola. products a.le to lower pla.ma.lipid concentra.ions a.d might be beneficia. in trea.ment of hyperlipidemia.a.d a.herosclerosis.
