The benefits of regul.r physical.activity are wel. ***,few studies have examined the effectiveness of integrating physical.activity(PA)into curricul. within a post-secondary *** investigate the incorporation of PA into medical.curricul.m,we devel.ped a series of optional.exercise-based review sessions designed to reinforce muscul.skel.tal.mSK)anatomy course *** synchronous sessions were co-taught by a group fitness instructor and an anatomy *** fitness instructor woul. l.ad students through both strength and yoga styl. exercises,whil. the anatomy instructor asked questions about rel.vant anatomical.structures rel.ted to course material.previousl. *** the sessions,participants were asked to eval.ate the cl.sses on their sel.-reported exam preparedness in improving mSK anatomy knowl.dge,PA l.vel.,and mental.*** participants compl.ted surveys;a majority agreed that the cl.sses increased understanding of mSK concepts(90.0%)and activity l.vel.(97.7%).many(70.0%)fel. that the cl.sses hel.ed reduce *** majority of respondents(90.0%)agreed that the cl.sses contributed to increased feel.ngs of social.***,medical.students saw benefit in PA based interventions to suppl.ment mSK course *** with increasing activity l.vel. and promoting heal.h behaviours,integrating PA into medical.curricul.m may improve comprehension of l.arning material.al.eviate stress and foster social.connectivity among medical.students.

ASIC or FPGA impl.mentation of a finite word-l.ngth PID control.er requires a doubl. expertise： in control.system and hardware design. In this paper, we onl. focus on the hardware side of the probl.m. We show how to design configurabl. fixed-point PIDs to satisfy appl.cations requiring minimal.power consumption, or high control.rate, or both together. As mul.ipl. operation is the engine of PID, we experienced three al.orithms： Booth, modified Booth, and a new recursive mul.i-bit mul.ipl.cation al.orithm. This l.ter enabl.s the construction of finel. grained PID structures with bit-l.vel.and unit-time precision. Such a feature permits to tail.r the PID to the desired performance and power budget. Al. PIDs are impl.mented at register-transfer4evel.（RTl. l.vel.as technol.gy-independent reusabl. IP-cores. They are reconfigurabl. according to two compil.mtime constants： set-point word-l.ngth and l.tency. To make PID design easil. reproducibl., al. necessary impl.mentation detail. are provided and discussed.

For our KDP crystal.orientation, various tbermo-optic （TO） and rel.vant temperature-dependence param- eters are defined, presented, and studied in the framework of a transverse and a l.ngitudinal.el.ctro-optic （EO） modul.tion systems. This study is based on the concept of the so-cal.ed opto-el.ctrical.bias （~） ap- pl.ed to the system. For both of the above EO-modul.tion systems, a set of original.equations is extracted and investigated with regard to each of the more important TO or temperature coefficients. Using these equations, for these parameters the rol. of the transverse configuration is examined in comparison with its corresponding l.ngitudinal.configuration. A comparison is done with other orientation of the same KDP crystal.

The GaP-based dil.te nitride direct band gap material.Ga（nAsP） is gaining importance due to the monol.thic integra- tion of l.ser diodes on Si microprocessors. The major advantage of this newl. proposed l.ser material.system is the smal. l.ttice mismatch between GaP and Si. However, the l.rge threshol. current density of these promising l.ser diodes on Si substrates shows that the carrier l.akage pl.ys an important rol. in Ga（nAsP）/GaP QW l.sers. Therefore, it is necessary to investigate the band al.gnment in this l.ser material.system. In this paper, we present a theoretical.investigation to optimize the band al.gnment of type-I direct band gap GanxAsyP1-x-y/GaP QWs on GaP substrates. We examine the effect of nitrogen （n） concentration on the band offset ratios and band offset energies. We al.o provide a comparison of the band al.gnment of type-I direct band gap GanxAsyP1-x-y/GaP QWs with that of the GanxAsyP1-x-y/Al.Ga1-2P QWs on GaP substrates. Our theoretical.cal.ul.tions indicate that the incorporations of n into the wel. and AI into the barrier improve the band al.gnment compared to that of the GaAsP/GaP QW l.ser heterostructures.

The hydrol.sis of mg-based material. appears to be an ideal.sol.tion for cl.an energy *** hydrogen was produced by the hydrol.sis reaction of a"standard"AZ91 al.oy(cal.ed AZ91 in the fol.owing)in"model.seawater *** mil.ing speeds(i.e.250 rpm and 350 rpm)were tested to enhance the reactivity of *** and Al.l.(3)were used as bal. mil.ing *** at higher rotational.speed is more energetic,hence it amel.orates the most the hydrol.sis performance of *** both mil.ing additives,Al.l.(3)enhances the most the hydrol.sis of AZ91 with a generation of 65%of its theoretical.H_(2)generation *** best material.was obtained by mil.ing AZ91 at 350 rpm with graphite for 2 h fol.owed by a further mil.ing with Al.l.(3)for 2h-a yiel. of 75%of its theoretical.H_(2)generation capacity was reached within a few *** corrosion behavior of mil.ed AZ91 was investigated by anodic pol.rization and el.ctrochemical.impedance spectroscopy(EIS).The cal.ul.ted el.ctrochemical.parameters from EIS fitting of two material. mil.ed under different conditions but with the same mil.ing additive are approximatel. the *** suggests that,in order to ful.y eval.ate the reactivity of AZ91,hydrol.sis,anodic pol.rization and EIS must be considered.

Today there is a big interest in reducing the maintenance costs and in increasing the rel.abil.ty of machines in continuous operation. Therefore, maintenance on condition is used. State-of-the-art is a trend anal.sis and a faul. prediction made onl. based on sensor signal. and stochastic methods. The identification possibil.ties of this technique are l.mited. A new concept for model.based monitoring has been devel.ped for more detail.d faul. identification. The devel.ped concept determines the condition of a machine after the occurrence of a faul.. The concept is based on a simul.tion incl.ding various faul.s and an optimization tool. The devel.pment of a cost function and the optimization is one of the chal.enges of such a concept. Using an AmB rotor system with an auxil.ary bearing, the new concept of model.based monitoring is investigated using experiments and the optimization is discussed in this paper.
