3D hand pose and shape estimation from monocular RGB via efficient 2D cues

Estimating 3D hand shape from a single-view RGB image is important for many ***,the diversity of hand shapes and postures,depth ambiguity,and occlusion may result in pose errors and noisy hand *** full use of 2D cues such as 2D pose can effectively improve the quality of 3D human hand shape *** this paper,we use 2D joint heatmaps to obtain spatial details for robust pose *** also introduce a depth-independent 2D mesh to avoid depth ambiguity in mesh regression for efficient hand-image *** method has four cascaded stages:2D cue extraction,pose feature encoding,initial reconstruction,and reconstruction ***,we first encode the image to determine semantic features during 2D cue extraction;this is also used to predict hand joints and for ***,during the pose feature encoding stage,we use a hand joints encoder to learn spatial information from the joint ***,a coarse 3D hand mesh and 2D mesh are obtained in the initial reconstruction step;a mesh squeeze-and-excitation block is used to fuse different hand features to enhance perception of 3D hand ***,a global mesh refinement stage learns non-local relations between vertices of the hand mesh from the predicted 2D mesh,to predict an offset hand mesh to fine-tune the reconstruction *** and qualitative results on the FreiHAND benchmark dataset demonstrate that our approach achieves state-of-the-art performance.

Knee osteoarthritis is a degenerative condition with a significant disease burden and no disease-modifying *** treatment ultimately requires joint *** capable of regenerating cartilage could significantly reduce financial and clinical *** regenerative potential of mesenchymal stromal cells(MsCs)has been extensively studied in the context of knee *** has yielded promising results in human studies,and is likely a product of immunomodulatory and chondroprotective biomolecules produced by MsCs in response to ***-derived MsCs(AsCs)are becoming increasingly popular owing to their relative ease of isolation and high proliferative *** vascular fraction(sVF)and micro-fragmented adipose tissue(MFAT)are produced by the enzymatic and mechanical disruption of adipose tissue,*** avoids expansion of isolated AsCs ex vivo and their composition of heterogeneous cell populations,including immune cells,may potentiate the reparative function of *** this editorial,we comment on a multicenter randomized trial regarding the efficacy of MFAT in treating knee *** discuss the study’s findings in the context of emerging evidence regarding adipose-derived regenerative *** underlying mechanism of action of AsCs is proposed while drawing important distinctions between the properties of isolated AsCs,sVF,and MFAT.

Raindrop size Distributions in the Zhengzhou Extreme Rainfall Event on 20 July 2021:Temporal-spatial Variability and Implications for Radar QPE

In this study,a regional Parsivel OTT disdrometer network covering urban Zhengzhou and adjacent areas is employed to investigate the temporal-spatial variability of raindrop size distributions(DsDs)in the Zhengzhou extreme rainfall event on 20 July *** rain rates observed by disdrometers and rain gauges from six operational sites are in good agreement,despite significant site-to-site variations of 24-h accumulated rainfall ranging from 198.3 to 624.1 *** Parsivel OTT observations show prominent temporal-spatial variations of DsDs,and the most drastic change was registered at Zhengzhou station where the record-breaking hourly rainfall of 201.9 mm over 1500-1600 LsT(local standard time)was *** hourly rainfall is characterized by fairly high concentrations of large raindrops,and the mass-weighted raindrop diameter generally increases with the rain rate before reaching the equilibrium state of DsDs with the rain rate of about 50 mm h^(−1).Besides,polarimetric radar observations show the highest differential phase shift(K_(dp))and differential reflectivity(Z_(dr))near surface over Zhengzhou station from 1500 to 1600 *** light of the remarkable temporal-spatial variability of DsDs,a reflectivity-grouped fitting approach is proposed to optimize the reflectivity-rain rate(Z-R)parameterization for radar quantitative precipitation estimation(QPE),and the rain gauge measurements are used for *** results show an increase of mean bias ratio from 0.57 to 0.79 and a decrease of root-mean-square error from 23.69 to 18.36 for the rainfall intensity above 20.0 mm h^(−1),as compared with the fixed Z-R *** study reveals the drastic temporal-spatial variations of rain microphysics during the Zhengzhou extreme rainfall event and warrants the promise of using reflectivity-grouped fitting Z-R relationships for radar QPE of such events.

GsT family genes in jujube actively respond to phytoplasma infection

Jujube witches’broom(JWB)caused by phytoplasma has a severely negative effect on multiple metabolisms in *** GsT gene family in plants participates in the regulation of a variety of biotic and abiotic *** study aims to identify and reveal the changes in the jujube GsT gene family in response to phytoplasma ***,70 ZjGsTs were identified in the jujube genome and divided into 8 *** them,the Tau-class,including 44 genes,was the *** analysis indicated that Tau-class genes were highly conserved among species,such as Arabidopsis,cotton,chickpea,and *** chromosome location analysis,37.1%of genes were clustered,and 8 of 9 gene clusters were composed of Tau class *** RT-PCR,qRT-PCR and enzyme activity detection,the results showed that the expression of half(20/40)of the tested ZjGsTs was inhibited by phytoplasma infection in field and tissue culture conditions,and GsT activity was also significantly *** the resistant and susceptible varieties under phytoplasma infection,ZjGsTU49-ZjGsTU54 in the cluster IV showed opposite expression patterns,which may be due to functional divergence during *** upregulated genes(ZjGsTU45,ZjGsTU49,ZjGsTU59,and ZjGsTU70)might be involved in the process of jujube against *** yeast two-hybrid results showed that all 6 Tauclass proteins tested could form homodimers or ***,the comprehensive analysis of the jujube GsT gene family revealed that ZjGsTs responded actively to phytoplasma ***,some screened genes(ZjGsTU24,ZjGsTU49-52,ZjGsTU70,and ZjDHAR10)will contribute to further functional studies of jujube-phytoplasma interactions.

Gaining an understanding of the effects and dynamics of the solar wind is crucial for the study of space weather,Earth's magnetosphere,spacecraft protection,the dynamics of the solar system,and various other *** show that Alfvén waves effectively transfer energy to resonant *** study demonstrates how inertial Alfvén waves deliver their energy to resonant plasma particles in different solar environments under certain *** analysis shows that inertial Alfvén waves experience more rapid damping with increasing parallel wavenumber,ambient magnetic field strength,and particle number density,coupled with a decrease in *** rate of energy transfer to resonant particles intensifies with higher temperatures and reduced parallel wavenumber and particle number *** with higher initial velocities actively participate in Landau damping,especially in regions with a stronger ambient magnetic field.

In this work the structural,electronic and thermoelectric properties of YbMg_(2)X_(2)(X=P,As,sb,Bi)zintl compounds were investigated comprehensively using first principles *** electronic properties were studied using PBE GGA,TB-mBJ and hybrid(Ys-PBE0)*** the structural parameters of optimized structures are in harmonious agreement to the available *** band structure study illustrates that the titled materials manifest metallic and semi metallic nature using PBE and TB-mBJ potentials while they show wide band gap semiconducting behavior by following hybrid(Ys-PBE0)*** density of states(TDOs)and partial density of states(PDOs)were also calculated to glimpse the contribution of orbitals of atoms in the formation of *** properties were studied by using BoltzTraP2 code employed to *** get enormous values of seebeck coefficient(s),power factor(PF)and thermoelectric figure of merit(ZT)for all the samples YbMg_(2)X_(2)(X=P,As,sb,Bi),Moreover,the overwhelming transport properties for the titled compounds indicate the optimum level of carriers’concentration which pinpoints these materials to be better thermoelectrics in the 1-2-2 zintl family.

Performance of Text-Independent Automatic speaker Recognition on a Multicore system

This paper studies a high-speed text-independent Automatic speaker Recognition(AsR)algorithm based on a multicore system's Gaussian Mixture Model(GMM).The high speech is achieved using parallel implementation of the feature's extraction and aggregation methods during training and testing *** memory parallel programming techniques using both OpenMP and PThreads libraries are developed to accelerate the code and improve the performance of the AsR *** experimental results show speed-up improvements of around 3.2 on a personal laptop with Intel i5-6300HQ(2.3 GHz,four cores without hyper-threading,and 8 GB of RAM).In addition,a remarkable 100%speaker recognition accuracy is achieved.

Interpretable Detection of Malicious Behavior in Windows Portable Executables Using Multi-Head 2D Transformers

Windows malware is becoming an increasingly pressing problem as the amount of malware continues to grow and more sensitive information is stored on *** of the major challenges in tackling this problem is the complexity of malware analysis,which requires expertise from human *** developments in machine learning have led to the creation of deep models for malware ***,these models often lack transparency,making it difficult to understand the reasoning behind the model’s decisions,otherwise known as the black-box *** address these limitations,this paper presents a novel model for malware detection,utilizing vision transformers to analyze the Operation Code(OpCode)sequences of more than 350000 Windows portable executable malware samples from real-world *** model achieves a high accuracy of 0.9864,not only surpassing the previous results but also providing valuable insights into the reasoning behind the *** model is able to pinpoint specific instructions that lead to malicious behavior in malware samples,aiding human experts in their analysis and driving further advancements in the *** report our findings and show how causality can be established between malicious code and actual classification by a deep learning model,thus opening up this black-box problem for deeper analysis.

Twinning aspects and their efficient roles in wrought Mg alloys:A comprehensive review

Twinning is widely recognized as an effective and cost-efficient method for controlling the microstructure and properties of wrought magnesium(Mg)***,twins play a crucial role in initiating dynamic recrystallization(DRX),while twin regions experience rapid recrystallization during static recrystallization(sRX).The activation of twinning can lead to changes in lattice orientation,significantly impacting the final texture in Mg *** active roles of twinning are influenced by various factors during the activation process,and the mobility of twin boundaries(TB)can be amplified by stress effects,dislocation interactions,and thermal ***,annealing treatments that involve proper segregation or precipitation on TBs serve to stabilize them,restraining their *** such as segregation may also alter the twinning propensity in Magnesium-rare earth(Mg-RE)***{10–11}contraction twins(CT)and{10–11}-{10–12}double twins(DT)can promote dynamic recrystallization(DRX),they also pose a risk as potential sources of voids and ***,understanding the nucleation and growth mechanisms of twinning is crucial,and these aspects are briefly reviewed in this *** the factors mentioned above,this article summarizes the recent research progress in this field,shedding light on advancements in recent eras.
