Using nanotechnology to prevent fines migration while production

Formation damage due to fines migration is a major reason for well productivity decline for oil and gas *** fines are small enough to pass through pore throats causing pore plugging and permeability *** factors affect fines migration such as flow rate,salinity,pH value,reservoir temperature and oil polarity,as well as changes in chemi.al environment induced by Enhanced Oil Recovery(EOR)*** paper focuses on the effect of flow rates on fines detachment from the grain surfaces,which causing permeability *** the fluid inside the reservoir moves towards the wellbore,the fluid velocity increases,when the fluid reaches the criti.al flow rate these fines can be picked up into the *** fines captured by thinner pore throats causing pore plugging and permeability *** concentrations of nanoparticles were used to fix these fines on their sources and prevent their mobilization at high flow *** unique technique used in this study is changing the potential surfaces between fines and grain surfaces to prevent fines movement above the criti.al flow ***_(2)and MgO NPs used in this study can be adsorbed on the pore surfaces and reduce the repulsion forces between fines and pore ***_(2) and MgO nanoparticles at different concentrations(0.25,0.50 and 0.75 g/L)were used on treating the Abu-Rawash sandstone reservoir using Formation Damage System Cell *** experimental studies showed that using MgO NPs would prevent fines detachment from the pore surfaces and decrease the reduction of permeability at high flow rates more than SiO_(2) *** optimum concentration of MgO NPs was at 0.5 g/L as the permeability remediation at this concentration reaches to 64.83%.

The way to deal with flexible data from their stochastic presence point of view as output or input in the evaluation of efficiency of the decision-making units(DMUs)motivates new perspectives in modeling and solving data envelopment analysis(DEA)in the presence of flexible *** the orientation of flexible data is not pre-determined,and because the number of DMUs is fixed and all the DMUs are independent,flexible data can be treated as random variable in terms of both input and output *** a result,the selection of flexible variable as input or output for n DMUs can be regarded as binary random *** the randomness of choosing flexible data as input or output,we deal with DEA models in the presence of flexible data whose input or output orientation determines a binomial distribution *** study provides a new insight to classify flexible variable and investigates the input or output status of a variable using a stochastic *** proposed model obviates the problems caused by the use of the large M number and using its different values in previous *** addition,it can obtain the most appropriate efficiency value for decision-making units by assigning the chance of choosing the orientation of flexible variable to the model *** proposed method is compared with other available methods by employing numeri.al and empiri.al examples.

The studied granitic bodies belong to the south Eastern Desert of *** extend in a NNW–SSE trend along the same strike of the Nugrus weakness zone by which they are structurally *** rocks are composed of biotite and biotite-muscovite monzogranites to ***,a higher abundance of Ba and Rb in biotite granites with a relatively low abundance in biotite-muscovite granites as well as the diversity of Th,U,Nb,Ta,Zr,and REE reflects their origin from different sources and geodynamic *** biotite granites are predominantly metaluminous to low peraluminous whereas the biotite-muscovite granites have a peraluminous *** enrichment at the expense of calcium in these rocks reflects a derivation from crustal sources by partial melting in the presence of a volatile *** investigation showed high abundances of U(up to 38 ppm)and Th(up to 26 ppm)in biotite-muscovite granites relative to biotite granites(up to 5 ppm U and 18 ppm Th).Radioactive anomalies furthermore have been recorded in parts of biotite-muscovite granites that were affected by the faults(up to 116 ppm eU and 97 ppm eTh).Consequently,biotite-muscovite granites form a potentially fertile source for uranium mineralization.

in this paper, Ruthenium isotopes with neutron N = 60, 62 have been studied the ground state bands using Matlab computer code interacting boson model (iBM-1). We apply iBM-1 formula for O(6) symmetry in Ru isotopes with neutron N = 60, 62. The theoreti.al energy levels up to spin-parity 12+ have been obtained for 104,106Ru isotopes. The yrast states, gamma band, beta band, and B(E2) values are calculated for those nuclei. The experimental and calculated R4/2 values indicate that the even-even 104-106Ru isotopes have O(6) dynamic symmetry. The calculated results are compared to the experimental data and are found in good harmony with each other. The plots of the potential energy surface of both nuclei are O(6) characters.

Fuzzy Sliding Mode Active Disturbance Rejection Control of an Autonomous Underwater Vehicle-Manipulator System

in this paper, a fuzzy sliding mode active disturbance rejection control(FSMADRC) scheme is proposed for an autonomous underwater vehicle-manipulator system(AUVMS) with a two-link and three-joint manipulator. First, the AUVMS is separated into nine subsystems, and the combined effects of dynamic uncertainties, hydrodynamic force, unknown disturbances, and nonlinear coupling terms on each subsystem are lumped into a single total disturbance. Next, a linear extended state observer(LESO) is presented to estimate the total disturbance. Then, a sliding mode active disturbance rejection control(SMADRC) scheme is proposed to enhance the robustness of the control system. The stability of the SMADRC and the estimation errors of the LESO are analyzed. Because it is difficult to simultaneously adjust several parameters for a LESO-based SMADRC scheme, a fuzzy logic control(FLC) scheme is used to formulate the FSMADRC to determine the appropriate parameters adaptively for practi.al applications. Fi.ally, two AUVMS tasks are illustrated to test the trajectory tracking performance of the closed-loop system and its ability to reject and attenuate the total disturbance. The simulation results show that the proposed FSMADRC scheme achieves better performance and consume less energy than conventional PiD and FLC techniques.

With the rapid development of the fresh cold chain logistics distribution and the prevalence of low carbon concept,this paper proposed an optimization model of low carbon fresh cold chain logistics distribution route considering customer satisfaction,and combined with time,space,weight,distribution rules and other constraints to optimize the distribution *** the same time,transportation cost,penalty cost,overloading cost,carbon tax cost and customer satisfaction were considered as the components of the objective function,and the thought of cost efficiency was taken into account,so as to establish a distribution model based on the ratio of minimum total cost to maximum satisfaction as the objective ***,the improved A∗algorithm and ant colony algorithm were used to construct the model *** the simulation analysis results of different calculation examples,the effectiveness,efficiency and correctness of the design of the single target low-carbon fresh agricultural products cold chain model by using the improved ant colony algorithm were verified.

Morphology and morphometry of two hybridizing buntings at their hybrid zone in northern iran reveal intermediate and transgressive morphotypes

The closely related Black-headed Bunting(Emberiza melanocephala,a western Palearctic lineage)and Red-headed Bunting(Emberiza bruniceps,an eastern Palearctic lineage)hybridize and replace each other south of the Caspian *** parental species have distinct phenotypes and therefore morphology is useful for assessing hybridization in the contact *** the years of 1940 and 1977,quite a few hybrids were collected and studied *** then,the hybrid zone appears to have expanded westwards,but there has been a time gap in the collection of morphologi.al *** we reanalyze bunting specimens morphologi.ally and compare the histori.al data with recent *** and phenotypic traits from three time periods(1940,1977 and recent)were studied to assess phenotypic variation of hybrids,pattern of hybridization,and transgressive traits in the hybrid *** results show that most of the birds in the hybrid zone exhibit intermediate phenotypes(both colors and morphometric characters),ranging from the pure phenotype of either of the parental ***,hybridization has also produced novel phenotypes not seen in any of the *** a canoni.al discriminant function analysis,the morphometric characters separated each parental species and the hybrids quite *** results showed morphometric intermediacy of hybrids in accordance with *** observe a time trend in which recent hybrids are more similar to Red-headed Buntings phenotypi.ally compared to histori.al *** pattern is likely a signature of a westward expansion of the Red-headed Bunting into the breeding range of the Black-headed Bunting.

Effect of nanoparticle diameter on the forced convective heat transfer of nanofluid(water+al_(2)O_(3))in the fully developed laminar region

Nanofluid is a suspension of nanoparticles(solid particles with diameters below 100 nm)in a conventional base fluid with significantly improved heat transfer characteristics compared to the origi.al *** heat transfer coefficient is a quantitative characteristic of the convective heat *** purpose of this paper is to study the effect of the nanoparticle size(diameter)on the heat transfer coefficient of forced convective heat transfer of nanofluid in the fully developed laminar region of a horizontal *** thermal conductivity model which is a function of the nanoparticle size,flow of a nanofluid(water+al2O3)in a circular tube submitted to a constant wall temperature is numeri.ally investigated with two particle sizes of 11 nm and 47 *** calculated results show that the nanoparticle size does not significantly affect the heat transfer coefficient,however,the heat transfer coefficient decreases as the particle size increases.

Use of GiS and BiM for the integration of tunnel designand construction process in conventional tunneling

This paper presents the development of a framework for the parametric design of tunnels using geographic information system (GiS)mapping and building information modelling (BiM). According to the framework, a parametric representation of each system component (e.g., layers of rock mass, size of excavation, topography, fault geometry, primary lining, secondary lining, rock bolts, etc.) can beincorporated in the GiS model with high levels of detail and used for the automatic generation of numeri.al models for the design oftunnel construction. This parametric evaluation allows the designer to consider several levels of detail for each component, for the effi-cient design and process optimization in conventional tunneling. information between parametric analysis and numeri.al simulations canbe freely exchanged with significantly reduced computational effort while results can be exported into BiM. it is anticipated that the proposed framework could lead to a comprehensive, yet efficient analysis of complex conventional tunneling project using parametric evaluations at the early design stages.
