We present a method to fabricate handcrafted thermoelectric devices on standard office paper *** devices are based on thin films of WS_(2),Te,and BP(P-ty.e semiconductors)and TiS_(3)and TiS_(2)(N-ty.e semiconductors),deposited by.simply.rubbing powder of these materials against *** thermoelectric properties of these semiconducting films revealed maximum Seebeck coefficients of(+1.32±0.27)mV K^(-1)and(-0.82±0.15)mV K^(-1)for WS_(2)and TiS_(3),***,Peltier elements were fabricated by.interconnecting the P-and N-ty.e films with graphite electrodes.A thermopower value up to 6.11 mV K^(-1)was obtained when the Peltier element were constructed with three *** findings of this work show proof-of-concept devices to illustrate the potential application of semiconducting van der Waals materials in future thermoelectric power generation as well as temperature sensing for low-cost disposable electronic devices.

Five perovskite ceramics samples of Ba_(1-x)Er_(x)SnO_(3) with x=0.00,0.05,0.10,0.15,and 0.20 were sy.thesized using the conventional solid-state reaction *** prepared samples were characterized by.X-ray.diffraction(XRD),Fourier transforms infrared(FTIR),and UV-Vis *** shielding properties against ionizing radiation were also *** XRD analy.is shows the perovskite cubic structure as the major phase in all *** FTIR reveals a distinctive band around 614-620 cm^(-1) ascribed to the antisy.metric O-Sn-O ***-Vis spectroscopy.was used to determine the bandgap according to diffuse reflectance,and the results display.a fixed enhancement in the bandgap from 3.2 to 3.3 eV for all ***-ray.shielding properties of the sy.thesized samples were experimentally.measured and compared with XCOm computational *** relative differences(Δ,%)between experimental and theo retical values are low and fall within the 0.446%-7.10%*** addition of Er leads to the enhanced density.neutron,and gamma shielding *** contrast,charged particles’shielding parameters gradually.reduce with rising Er *** results suggest that Ba_(1-x)Er_(x)SnO_(3) samples can be used in different radiation shielding applications.

Sickle Cell Anemia(SCA)is a prevalent genetic condition in Saudi Arabia,particularly.in the Jazan *** study.s purpose was to assess the prevalence of de-pression among individuals with SCA in this area and to identify.the factors associated with this *** study.involved 391 adult participants,all patients in the hematology.center of Prince mohammed bin Nasser Hospital(PmNH).Data was collected through an anony.ous interview questionnaire–the Arabic version of the Patient Health Questionnaire-9(PHQ-9)–between march–may.*** questionnaire covered socio-demographic information and variables related to the participant’s SCA history.such as pain levels,frequency.of pain,hospitalization duration,and frequency.of blood *** variables underwent Chi-square and One-way.ANOVA testing,followed by.multivariate *** study.found a 42%prevalence of depression among the SCA *** significantly.linked with heightened depression levels included being widowed or divorced,experiencing frequent and severe pain,and longer duration of hospital *** educational level of at least a bachelor’s degree was also a significant *** study.reveals a high prevalence of depression among SCA patients in the Jazan *** underscores the need for policy.akers to educate both phy.icians and patients about the importance of mental health in SCA *** study.also highlights the need for more research into the specific causes and effects of depressive sy.ptoms in SCA patients to inform the creation of effective management plans.

The title compound exists as y.llow （1y. and red （1R） cry.tals, but both gave red solutions. The intermolecular interactions between the CN parts of the cry.tals in Iy.are very.weak. By.the mechanical crushing as well as in solution 1y.again becomes red due to the absence of intermolecular interactions. We explain this color behavior by.cry.tallochromism and solvation chromism.

The energy.levels, transition energy. B （E2） values,intrinsic quadrupole moment Q_0 and potential energy.surface for even-even ^（184）W and ^（184）Os nuclei were calculated using IBm-1. The predicted energy.levels, transition energy. B（E2） values and intrinsic quadrupole moment Q_0 results are reasonably.consistent with the experimental data. A contour plot of the potential energy.surfaces shows that two interesting nuclei are deformed and have rotational characters.

We propose and demonstrate a passively.mode-locked erbium-doped fiber laser(EDFL)based on zinc-oxide/poly.imethy.siloxane(ZnO/PDmS)saturable absorber(SA)that evanescently.interacts with the light on a tapered *** ZnO/PDmS composite is coated on the whole surface of the tapered fiber to guarantee the maximum efficiency.of the SA device,with a measured insertion loss of 0.87 dB and a modulation depth of 6.4%.The proposed laser can generate soliton mode-locking operation at a threshold power of 33.07 *** generated output pulse y.elds a repetition rate and pulse width of 9.77 mHz and 1.03 ps,*** results indicate that the proposed ZnO/PDmS-clad tapered fiber could be useful as an efficient,compatible,and low-cost SA device for ultrafast laser applications.

Fatty.acids like ergosterol and tween 80 are depressing the inhibition of my.oparasitic activity.of poly.ne antibiotics by.neutralizing effect. Poly.ne antibiotics become bound to the fungal cell membrane and cause permeability.changes with attendant depletion of essential cellular constituents. Loss of potassium and ammonium ions, inorganic phosphate, carboxy.ic acids, sugar phosphates, nucleotides and protein have been shown to occur in several fungal species after exposure to poly.ne antibiotics. most poly.ne antibiotics are toxic to human and therefore used predominantly.in topical applications. Kidney.damage is a major problem when poly.ne is used sy.temically.to treat several fungal infections. Since poly.ne macrolides are produced by.actinomy.etes, particularly.Streptomy.es, from 149 chitinoly.ic producing actinomy.etes isolated where are 72% of isolates have been produce poly.ne antifungal antibiotics which their activity.effected by.ergosterol and tween 80, this method allows the analy.is of a greater number of strains at an early.stage of the screening procedure. We selected 20 isolates which showed maximum zone of inhibition, from both non-poly.ne and poly.ne antibiotic, which belonged Streptomy.es or other genera for further investigation to detect novel antifungal antibiotics and novel chitinoly.ic producing actinomy.etes.

Background:Adolescence is a critical,multifactorial developmental *** the current pandemic of COVID-19,excessive using of electronic devices is a public health *** aim of this study.is to investigate the relation-ship between depression and the use of electronic devices among secondary.school children in Jazan,Saudi Arabia during the COVID-19 *** and methods:The study.is an observational,cross-sectional *** was collected using an anony.ous online survey.*** the Depression Anxiety.Stress ***:A total of 427 participants were included in the *** prevalence of depression,anxiety.and stress in our study.was 14.55%,12.01%,and 15.55%,*** the hours spent on electronic devices,13.6%of participants spent 1–4 h,43.6%spent 5–9 h,and 42.9%spent 10 h or more.86.7%reported an increase in their use of electronic devices during *** regression analy.is revealed that the increase of Videogame Addiction Scale for Chil-dren is signiﬁcantly.associated with an increase in Depression,Anxiety.and Stress scores(p-valueall).Conclusion:Electronic device use is a challenging issue among Saudi adolescents,and it has been associated with a negative impact on participants’mental *** study.found a positive correlation between electronic device use and increased prevalence of mental health *** also found signiﬁcantly.increased use of electronic device during the COVID-19 lockdown;hence,more mental issues were *** is obvious that electronic device use needs to be more controlled among *** can be achieved by.involving those who are in this age group in other activities,like sports,which can reduce the time they.spend on electronic device.
