Earthquake risk assessment in NE India using deep learning and geospatial analysis

Earthquake prediction is currently the most crucial task required for the probability,hazard,risk mapping,and mitigation *** prediction attracts the researchers'attention from both academia and ***,the risk assessment approaches have used various traditional and machine learning ***,deep learning techniques have been rarely tested for earthquake probability ***,this study develops a convolutional neural network(CNN)model for earthquake probability assessment in NE *** conducts vulnerability using analytical hierarchy process(AHP),Venn's intersection theory for hazard,and integrated model for risk mapping.A prediction of classification task was performed in which the model predicts magnitudes more than 4 mw that considers nine *** classification results and intensity variation were then used for probability and hazard mapping,***,earthquake risk map was produced by multiplying hazard,vulnerability,and coping *** vulnerability was prepared by using six vulnerable factors,and the coping capacity was estimated by using the number of hospitals and associated variables,including budget available for disaster *** CNN model for a probability distribution is a robust technique that provides good *** show that CNN is superior to the other algorithms,which completed the classification prediction task with an accuracy of 0.94,precision of 0.98,recall of 0.85,and F1 score of *** indicators were used for probability mapping,and the total area of hazard(21,412.94 km^(2)),vulnerability(480.98 km^(2)),and risk(34,586.10 km^(2))was estimated.

The increased adoption of Internet of medical Things (IomT) technologies has resulted in the widespread use ofBody Area Networks (BANs) in medical and non-medical domains. However, the performance of IEEE 802.15.4-based BANs is impacted by challenges related to heterogeneous data traffic requirements among nodes, includingcontention during finite backoff periods, association delays, and traffic channel access through clear channelassessment (CCA) algorithms. These challenges lead to increased packet collisions, queuing delays, retransmissions,and the neglect of critical traffic, thereby hindering performance indicators such as throughput, packet deliveryratio, packet drop rate, and packet delay. Therefore, we propose Dynamic Next Backoff Period and Clear ChannelAssessment (DNBP-CCA) schemes to address these issues. The DNBP-CCA schemes leverage a combination ofthe Dynamic Next Backoff Period (DNBP) scheme and the Dynamic Next Clear Channel Assessment (DNCCA)scheme. The DNBP scheme employs a fuzzy Takagi, Sugeno, and Kang (TSK) model’s inference system toquantitatively analyze backoff exponent, channel clearance, collision ratio, and data rate as input parameters. Onthe other hand, the DNCCA scheme dynamically adapts the CCA process based on requested data transmission tothe coordinator, considering input parameters such as buffer status ratio and acknowledgement ratio. As a result,simulations demonstrate that our proposed schemes are better than some existing representative approaches andenhance data transmission, reduce node collisions, improve average throughput, and packet delivery ratio, anddecrease average packet drop rate and packet delay.

Background multisystem inflammatory syndrome in children(mIS-C)is a serious health condition that develops from and is linked to coronavirus disease ***-C is considered a multi-organ dysfunction involving cardiac,renal,respiratory,hematologic,gastrointestinal and neurological symptoms and groups of signs and symptoms such as rash or bilateral non-purulent conjunctivitis,hypotension or shock and acute gastrointestinal problems,which require immediate therapeutic intervention to prevent the aggravation of the patient’s health ***-C is relatively new in the field of evidence-based medicine;however,there are several clinical guidelines for good clinical *** every disorder,the guidelines have different ***,based on the current status of the evidence,recommendations have been combined to form a unified guideline for therapeutic *** This paper compares and evaluates the current mIS-C-specific clinical practice guidelines(namely,American Academy of Pediatrics,American College of Rheumatology,Helen DeVos Children’s Hospital Foundation,Children’s Hospital of The King’s Daughters,and the Infectious Diseases Society of America).The compiled literature was then assessed by the authors separately,and an algorithm was proposed for each disorder,taking into consideration the various guidelines proposed for the management of the *** The features of mIS-C patients are unified;this is very helpful in managing its symptoms and decreasing mortality *** addition,recommendations for pharmacological treatment for mIS-C symptoms are formulated after cross-comparison across five different *** This study provides a general interpretation of the results in the context of other evidence and implications for future *** proposes a unified guideline based on the current evidence,with the best potential to maintain suitable clinical standards in the Saudi Arabian ministry of Health.

Scheduling a sports tournament is a complex optimization problem,which requires a large number of hard constraints to *** the availability of several such constraints in the literature,there remains a gap sincemost of the new sports events pose their own unique set of requirements,and demand novel *** talking of the strictly time bound events,ensuring fairness between the different teams in terms of their rest days,traveling,and the number of successive games they play,becomes a difficult task to resolve,and demands *** this work,we present a similar situation with a recently played sports event,where a suboptimal schedule favored some of the sides more than the *** introduce various competitive parameters to draw a fairness comparison between the sides and propose a weighting criterion to point out the sides that enjoyed this schedule more than the ***,we use root mean squared error between an ideal schedule and the actual ones for each side to determine unfairness in the distribution of rest days across their entire *** latter is crucial,since successively playing a large number of games may lead to sportsmen burnout,which must be prevented.

The Internet of medical Things(IomT)offers an infrastructure made of smart medical equipment and software applications for healthcare *** the internet,the IomT is capable of providing remote medical diagnosis and timely health *** patients can use their smart devices to create,store and share their electronic health records(EHR)with a variety of medical personnel including medical doctors and ***,unless the underlying commination within IomT is secured,malicious users can intercept,modify and even delete the sensitive EHR data of *** also lose full control of their EHR since most healthcare services within IomT are constructed under a centralized platform outsourced in the ***,it is appealing to design a decentralized,auditable and secure EHR system that guarantees absolute access control for the patients while ensuring privacy and *** the features of blockchain including decentralization,auditability and immutability,we propose a secure EHR framework which is mainly maintained by the medical *** this framework,the patients’EHR data are encrypted and stored in the servers of medical institutions while the corresponding hash values are kept on the *** make use of security primitives to offer authentication,integrity and confidentiality of EHR data while access control and immutability is guaranteed by the blockchain *** security analysis and performance evaluation of the proposed framework confirms its efficiency.

Biochemical and radiological predictors of malignant biliary strictures

AIm: Differentiation of benign biliary strictures (BBS) from malignant biliary strictures (mBS) remains difficult despite improvement in imaging and endoscopic techniques. The aim of this study was to identify the clinical, biochemical and or radiological predictors of malignant biliary ***: We retrospectively reviewed all charts of patients who had biliary strictures (BS) on endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography (ERCP) or percutaneous cholangiography (PTC) in case of unsuccessful ERCP from march 1998 to August 2002. Patient characteristics, clinical features, biochemical, radiological and biopsy results were all recorded. Stricture etiology was determined based on cytology,biopsy or clinical follow-up. A receiver operator characteristic (ROC) curve was constructed to determine the optimal laboratory diagnostic criterion threshold in predicting ***: One hundred twenty six patients with biliary strictures were enrolled, of which 72 were malignant. The mean age for BBS was 53 years compared to 62.4 years for mBS (P=0.0006). Distal bile duct stricture was mainly due to a malignant process 48.6% vs 9% (P=0.001). Alkaline phosphates and AST levels were more significantly elevated in mBS (P=0.0002). ROC curve showed that a bilirubin level of 84 μmol/L or more was the most predictive of mBS with a sensitivity of 98.6%, specificity of 59.3% and a positive likelihood ratio of 2.42 (95% CI=0.649-0.810). Proximal biliary dilatation was more frequently encountered in mBS compared to BBS, 73.8% vs39.5% (P=0.0001). majority of BBS (87%) and mBS (78%) were managed ***: A serum bilirubin level of 84 μmol/L or greater is the best predictor of mBS. Older age, proximal biliary dilatation, higher levels of bilirubin, alkaline phosphatase, ALT and AST are all associated with mBS. ERCP is necessary to diagnose and treat benign and malignant biliary strictures.

The density functional calculation is performed for centrosymmetric（La–Pm） GaO3 rare earth gallates, using a full potential linear augmented plane wave method with the LSDA and LSDA＋U exchange correlation to treat highly correlated electrons due to the very localized 4f orbitals of rare earth elements, and explore the influence of U = 0.478 Ry on the magnetic phase stability and the densities of states. LSDA＋U calculation shows that the ferromagnetic（Fm） state of RGaO3 is energetically more favorable than the anti-ferromagnetic（AFm） one, except for LaGaO3 where the Nm state is the lowest in energy. The energy band gaps of RGaO3 are found to be in the range of 3.8–4.0 eV, indicating the semiconductor character with a large gap.

A stable flat universe with variable cosmological constant in f(R,T)gravity

In this paper, a general FRW cosmological model has been constructed in f（R, T） gravity reconstruction with variable cosmological constant. A number of solutions to the field equations has been generated by utilizing a form for the Hubble parameter that leads to Berman＇s law of constant deceleration parameter q =m - 1. The possible decelerating and accelerating solutions have been investigated. For （q 〉 0） we get a stable fiat decelerating radiation-dominated universe at q = 1. For （q 〈 0） we get a stable accelerating solution describing a flat universe with positive energy density and negative cosmological constant. Nonconventional mechanisms that are expected to address the late-time acceleration with negative cosmological constant have been discussed.
