Availability of basic life support courses for the general populations in India, Nigeria and the United Kingdom: An internet-based analysis

BACKGROUND:The number of lay people willing to attempt cardiopulmonary resuscitation(CPR)in real life is increased by effective education in basic life support(BLS).However,little is known about access of general public to BLS training across the *** study aimed to investigate availability and key features of BLS courses proposed for lay people in India,Nigeria and the United Kingdom(UK).METHODS:A Google search was done in December 2018,using English keywords relevant for community resuscitation *** courses addressing BLS and suitable for any adult layperson were included in the ***-site training courses were limited to those provided within the country's ***:A total of 53,29 and 208 eligible courses were found for India,Nigeria and the UK,*** the UK,the number of courses per 10 million population(31.5)is 79 and 21 times higher than that in India(0.4)and Nigeria(1.5).Course geography is limited to 28%states and one union territory in India,30%states and the Federal Capital Territory in *** the UK,the training is offered in all constituent countries,with the highest prevalence in *** are predominantly classroom-based,highly variable in duration,group size and instructors'*** India and Nigeria,mean cost of participation is exceeding the monthly minimum ***:In contrast to the UK,the availability and accessibility of BLS courses are critically limited in India and Nigeria,necessitating immediate interventions to optimize community CPR training and improve bystander CPR rates.

Grassland devoted about 90% of agricultural Irish land. Anion retention capacity of most agriculture soils is less than cation retention capacity, therefore chemical analyzed for anion （NO3 （nitrate）, CI- （chloride）, SO42 （sulphate） and HPO4 （biphosphate）） in different water flow types （overland flow, interflow and vertical flow or drainage） samples. In this work, simple equipment was used to operationally distinguish between overland flow and interflow while vertical flow collected in different depths using soil water sampler equipments. Episodes of overland flow and interflow occurred even though the site is located in the lowest rainfall in Ireland and on well-drained soil. Samples of different origin showed marked differences in their anion contents, while HPO4 concentrations were almost equal to zero in all water flow types, nitrate where relatively high in overland and interflow samples and was very high in drainage samples. No sampling was carried out below the root zone but it must be assumed that the high concentrations measured in drainage samples would constitute a threat to groundwater resources. When overland flow and interflow did occur, NO3 concentrations were usually close to or in excess of the maximum admissible concentrations for drinking water and it will be constituted a threat to inland surface water bodies.

Emissions of gases from industrial activities and even from agriculture activities and from soil as releasing of nitrogen from soils to atmosphere have been increasing steadily therefore, acid rain is the concern throughout the world. The hill field at the UCD research farm was chosen as the representative of good versatile, on which moderate to intensive farming is practised in the drier rainfall areas of Ireland. Nutrient contents in rainfall water samples were measurable, although the site of rainfall sample collection is located in the east of the country far away from the Atlantic Ocean. TDP （total dissolve phosphorus） concentrations in rainwater samples were very low. While DRP （dissolve reactive phosphorus） is the main component in some samples, the DUP （dissolve unreactive phosphorus） is dominant in others. DRP values accounted for less than 50% of dissolved phosphorus in rainfall. Sodium （Na） and Chloride （CI） ions had the highest concentration value, because most of Irish rain originates from the Atlantic Ocean. Nitrate （NO3） had the highest value 15.2 *** but it associated only with mineral fertiliser spreading time.

Background of the study: Catheter-associated urinary tract infection (CAUTI) is the most prevalent healthcare-associated infection worldwide, according to reports. Nurses are also accountable to acquire appropriate knowledge and practices of catheter care that will prevent UTI. Nurses’ knowledge is seen to be one of the most important factors in their practice. Aim of the study: To assess the nurse’s knowledge toward the prevention of catheter-associated urinary tract infection in public hospitals at Amran City. Methods: A descriptive cross-sectional study was conducted among nurses at public hospitals in Amran City, Yemen. A convenience sampling technique was of the study consisted of 93 nurses from different public hospitals that were participated in this study. Self-administered questionnaire was used to collect data from March 2021 to April 2021. Results: The distribution of nurses’ ware female 65.6%, belonged to age group between (25 to Conclusion: Most of nurses had fair knowledge level regarding prevention of catheter-associated urinary tract infection. Recommendations: We recommended increasing the knowledge of nursing staff through the courses training, workshop, and curriculums.

CT Imaging Evolution of Novel Coronavirus Pneumonia during Hospitalization

Object: To evaluate CT Features on serial thin-section computed tomographic (CT) scans in patients with conventional Novel Coronavirus Pneumonia (COVID-19) for the period during which they remained hospitalized. Methods: In this Retrospective study, we collected clinical information including Laboratory investigations and more importantly we focused on collecting imaging data of these 15 selected patients (8 men and 7 women, 22 - 70 years old, average age (45 ± 15)) with COVID-19 disease. The mean time between the initial and repeat thin-section CT scans was 3.3 ± 2.1 days, 7.9 ± 2.1 days, 14.2 ± 1.3 days after onset of symptoms in these 15 patients. Three experienced Radiologists reviewed the CT images independently and also in collaboration with each other for complicated or unique cases, for the Imaging characteristics like number and site of lesions, distribution of lesions whether it is lobular, lobar, unilateral or bilateral, and comparing the severity of disease in relation to the CT findings. The CT features were compared using the χ2 test and Fisher’s exact probability. Results: All of 15 patients had a history of visit to the endemic center i.e. Wuhan city or came in direct contact with an infected individual. Fever (93.3%) was the most common symptom. Majority of patients had a normal white blood cell count, and normal lymphocyte count although there were patients with leucopenia and lymphocytopenia. CT images showed predominate Ground-Glass opacities in the initial and repeat CT scans with a percentage of 90.6%, 53.9%, 44.2% respectively during the three spaced CT examinations;most patients had bilateral lung involvement (60%, 93.3%, 93.3%), the lesions predominantly involved the posterior (87.5%, 71.9%, 76.6%) and

Aim: To determined risk of increases Incidence of Thyroid cancer in solitary thyroid nodules so Preoperative distinction between benign and malignant in solitary thyroid nodules is important and helps to avoid unnecessary surgery and its adverse effects, such as hypothyroidism, hypocalcemia, and recurrent nerve injury. Methods: Descriptive perspective analyzed data over a period of 6 years April 2015-April 2021 in Saudi Hospital at Hajjah, Yemen. 226 thyroid operations for 207 patients, 135 patient’s diagnosis as Solitary thyroid nodule and 72 patients as Multi nodular goiter. Patients with a clinically solitary thyroid nodule were included in the study group. Results: 135 cases of clinically detected solitary thyroid nodules, 126 female and 9 male patients, between 14 - 65 years age, median 41 years and mean 39.76 years, (94, 41) patients respectively Right side thyroid effect more than Left side, Fine needle aspiration cytology (FNAC) sensitivity, specificity and accuracy was (61%, 72%, 64%) respectively. Postoperative histopathology reported 100 (74%) patients as having benign thyroid nodules and 35 patients (26%) as having malignant thyroid nodules. Postoperative transient hypocalcemia was observed in 9 patients (7%), and temporary hoarseness was observed in 3 patients (2%). Conclusion: The incidence of malignancy in solitary thyroid nodules is high. Rapid growth by history and hard fixed nodule by examination and hypoechoic, micro calcification and cervical lymphadenopathy on Thyroid Ultrasound frequently in malignant nodules. Male risk factors for thyroid cancer but age, number and size of nodules not included as risk factor. Fine needle aspiration cytology (FNAC) is more helpful for diagnosing if aspiration under Ultrasound guidance and reading by experience histopathologists.
