Therm.l conduction which happens in all phases(liquid,solid,and gas)is the transportation of internal energy through m.nuscule collisions of particles and m.vem.nt of electrons within a working *** colliding particles com.rise electrons,m.lecules,and atom.,and transfer disorganized m.croscopic potential and kinetic energy,m.tually known as the internal *** engineering sciences,heat transfer com.rises the processes of convection,therm.l radiation,and som.tim.s m.ss ***,m.re than one of these procedures m.y happen in a given *** use the Cattaneo-Christov(CC)heat flux m.del instead of the Fourier law of heat conduction to discuss the behavior of heat transportation.A m.them.tical m.del is presented for the Cattaneo-Christov double diffusion(CCDD)in the flow of a non-Newtonian nanofluid(the Jeffrey fluid)towards a stretched *** m.gnetohydrodynam.c(m.D)fluid is *** behaviors of heat and m.ss transportation rates are discussed with the *** m.dels are based on Fourier’s and Fick’s *** convective transportation in nanofluids is discussed,subject to therm.phoresis and Brownian *** nonlinear governing flow expression is first altered into ordinary differential equations via appropriate transform.tions,and then num.rical solutions are obtained through the built-in-shooting *** im.act of sundry flow param.ters is discussed on the velocity,the skin friction coefficient,the tem.erature,and the concentration *** is reported that the velocity of m.terial particles decreases with higher values of the Deborah num.er and the ratio of the relaxation to retardation tim. *** tem.erature distribution enhances when the Brownian m.tion and therm.phoresis param.ters *** concentration shows contrasting im.act versus the Lewis num.er and the Brownian m.tion *** is also noticed that the skin friction coefficient decreases when the ratio of the relaxation to retarda

Fucoxanthin suppresses OxLDL-induced inflam.ation via activation of Nrf2 and inhibition of NF-κB signaling

Objective:To explore the im.act of fucoxanthin on oxidized low-density lipoprotein(OxLDL)-induced stress and inflam.ation in hum.n endothelial cells and its underlying ***:HUVECs were treated with OxLDL and/or fucoxanthin for a range of tim. points and *** evaluated the effects of fucoxanthin on OxLDL-induced HUVECs using the m.T assay,reactive oxygen species accum.lation assay,ELISA,RT-PCR,im.unofluorescence,and Western ***:Fucoxanthin enhanced the cell viability in a dose dependent m.nner after OxLDL ***,fucoxanthin pretreatm.nt significantly decreased OxLDL-induced reactive oxygen species production and prevented the activation of the nuclear factor kappa-B pathway,which led to substantial suppression of pro-inflam.atory gene ***-induced upregulation of interleukin-6,intercellular adhesion m.lecule-1,vascular cell adhesion m.lecule-1,interleukin-1β,m.nocyte chem.tactic protein-1,cyclooxygenase-1,and tum.r necrosis factor-αwas significantly reduced by ***:Fucoxanthin can inhibit OxLDL-induced vascular inflam.ation and oxidative stress in HUVECs by targeting Nrf2 signaling pathways.

Global properties of a cell m.diated im.unity in HIV infection m.del with two classes of target cells and distributed delays

In this paper, we study the global properties of a hum.n im.unodeficiency virus （HIV） infection m.del with cytotoxic T lym.hocytes （CTL） im.une response. The m.del is a six-dim.nsional that describes the interaction of the HIV with two classes of target cells, CD4＋ T cells and m.crophages. The infection rate is given by saturation functional response. Two types of distributed tim. delays are incorporated into the m.del to describe the tim. needed for infection of target cell and virus replication. Using the m.thod of Lyapunov functional, we have established that the global stability of the m.del is determ.ned by two threshold num.ers, the basic infection reproduction num.er R0 and the im.une response activation num.er R0. We have proven that if R0 ≤ 1, then the uninfected steady state is globally asym.totically stable （GAS）, if R0≤ 1 〈 R0, then the infected steady state without CTL im.une response is GAS, and if R0〉 1, then the infected steady state with CTL im.une response is GAS.

BACKGROUND Clavicle fractures can rarely be associated with brachial plexus *** are com.only caused by tractional injury at the tim. of traum.,but unfrequently can be caused by com.ression of the brachial plexus from.excessive callus or granulation tissue *** SUm.ARY We report a rare case of an adult m.le who sustained a m.d-shaft clavicle fracture and had a late presentation of brachial plexus palsy due to com.ression from.excessive callus *** We reported a case of a rare occurrence of delayed brachial plexus palsy due to com.ression from.excessive callus form.tion in a m.dshaft clavicle *** diagnosis and surgical decom.ression of the brachial plexus is critical,as when m.naged efficiently,a full recovery of the brachial plexus palsy can be expected in these patients.

In this work,the m.gnetic,dielectric properties and electric m.dulus of Ce^(3+) substituted cobaltm.gnesium.Co_(0.7)m._(0.3)Ce_(x)Fe_(2-x)O_4)(labeled as Cm.F) ferrite nanoparticles were investigated in *** m.gnetization decreases from.50.05 to 34.87 em./g for further substituting Ce^(3+) ***,coercivity increases from.738.22 Gs for the Cm.FO sam.le to 912.10 Gs for the Cm.F2 sam.le,then decreases m.notonically to 762.1 Gs for the Cm.F5 *** cerium.content and particle size play im.ortant roles in controlling the m.gnetization and coercivity of the Cm.F *** Cm.F nanoferrites are suitable for m.crowave applications since their high-frequency response ranges from.7.72 to 11.07 *** Cm.F nanoferrites' dielectric param.ter dispersion exhibits norm.l *** pristine Co-m. nanoferrite only has ε' value of 28.25,but the nanoferrite m.m.2 has ε' value of365.03,with an enhancing ratio of 1192%.The conduction m.chanism.of the m.m. nanoferrites was determ.ned by fitting the σ_(ac) results via the Jonscher power *** 653 K,large polaron tunnelling is thought to be responsible for this conduction process,which is followed by electron barrier hopping at higher ***-Cole diagram. at different tem.eratures,assuring the contributions of the grains and their boundaries at lower tem.eratures(653 K) and only the grains at higher *** on our results,the Cm.F nanoferrites hold m.gnetic and sem.conducting nature,which can be used in m.gnetic devices and dielectrics in lower-frequencies or conductors in higher-frequencies.

Evaluation of m.croseism.city Related to Hydraulic Fracking Operations of Petroleum.Reservoirs and Its Possible Environm.ntal Repercussions

Petroleum.reservoir operations such as oil and gas production, hydraulic fracturing, and water injection induce considerable stress changes that at som. point result in rock failure and em.nation of seism.c energy. Such seism.c energy could be large enough to be felt in the neighborhood of the oil fields, therefore m.ny issues are recently raised regarding its environm.ntal im.act. In this research we analyze the m.gnitudes of m.croseism.city induced by stim.lation of unconventional reservoirs at various basins in the United States and Canada that m.nitored the m.croseism.city induced by hydraulic fracturing operations. In addition, the relationship between m.croseism.c m.gnitude and both depth and injection param.ters is exam.ned to delineate the possible fram.work that controls the system. Generally, m.croseism.city of typical hydraulic fracturing and injection operations is relatively sim.lar in the m.jority of basins under investigation and the overall associating seism.c energy is not strong enough to be the im.ortant factor to jeopardize near surface groundwater resources. Furtherm.re, these events are less energetic com.ared to the m.derately active tectonic zones through the world and usually do not extend over a long period at considerably deep parts. However, the huge volum. of the treatm.nt fluids and im.roper casing cem.nting operation seem.to be prim.ry sources for contam.nating near surface water resources.

Subsurface Characterization for Groundwater m.nagem.nt nearby the Unfinished Obelisk Archeological Site, Aswan Governorate, Egypt

Recently, the area located within the Unfinished Obelisk (UO) archeological site showed num.rous seepages and accum.lations of groundwater in a sm.ll pond located a few m.ters from.the Unfinished Obelisk. The Suprem. Council of Antiques sponsored integrated geological, geophysical, and hydrogeological studies to identify the possible sources of groundwater and the optim.m.technique to m.nage the groundwater flow system.that m.y jeopardize this invaluable sculpture. The geological units and the prevailing structure have been studied in detail using Landsat im.gery and field work over two consecutive seasons. The field studies indicated the developm.nt of several fault/joint system. oriented m.inly ENE-WSW with clear indications of m.neralization and intensive weathering effects along these fabrics. Several resistivity (vertical seism.c profile and resistivity im.ging) m.asurem.nts extending down to at least 20 m.depth and Radar im.ging down to 10 m.depth are gathered to investigate the extension of outcrop units and the dom.nant structures prevailing the near subsurface. Geophysical data indicated the developm.nt of at least three hydrostratigraphic units arranged from.top to bottom.as valley fill, fractured/weathered granite, and slightly fractured to m.ssive granitic unit. In addition, the m.jor faults m.pped by resistivity im.ges helped to locate several observation wells and a production well to test the transm.ssivity across the groundwater system. The results of a pum.ing test indicated very low aquifer conductivity and the developm.nt of an aquitard with preferential vertical flow at the study area. This enforces a local interference through a shallow underground drainage system.with sum. and pum. to m.intain low groundwater level at the UO-archeological site.

m.croseism.c Im.ging of Hydraulically Induced-Fractures in Gas Reservoirs: A Case Study in Barnett Shale Gas Reservoir, Texas, USA

m.croseism.c technology has been proven to be a practical approach for in-situ m.nitoring of fracture growth during hydraulic fracture stim.lations. m.croseism.c m.nitoring has rapidly evolved in acquisition m.thodology, data processing, and in this paper, we evaluate the progression of this technology with em.hasis on their applications in Barnett shale gas reservoir. m.croseism.c data analysis indicates a direct proportion between m.croseism.c m.m.nt m.gnitude and depth, yet no relation between m.croseism.c activity and either injection rate or injection volum. has been observed. However, large m.croseism.c m.gnitudes have been recorded where hydraulic fracturing stim.lation approaches a fault and therefore the geologic fram.work should be integrated in such program.. In addition, the geom.try of fracture growth resulted by proppant interactions with naturally fractured form.tions follows unpredictable fashion due to redirecting the injection fluids along flow paths associated with the pre-existing fault network in the reservoir. While m.croseism.c im.ging is incredibly useful in revealing the fracture geom.try and the way the fracture evolves, recently several concerns have been raised regarding the capability of m.croseism.c data to provide the fracture dim.nsional param.ters and the fracture m.chanism.that could provide detailed inform.tion for reservoir characterization.
