Euglycemic diabetic ketoacidosis(EDKA)is a well-known complication of sodium-glucose co-transporter 2 inhibitors,and many cases with variable onset following the initiation of these agents are reported before,with a median onset of approximately 2 *** letter discusses a 45-year-old lady who initially presented with ischemic stroke but developed EDKA 4 d after starting empagliflozin,a rare *** patient had severe metabolic acidosis that necessitated admission into the intensive care *** discontinuation of empagliflozin and DKA management resulted in clinical recovery.

A greenhouse experiment was conducted to evaluate the comparison of nutrient use efficiency,antioxidant assay,and nutritional quality of butter-head lettuce in five cultivation *** this experimental study,a split-boxes experimental arrangement in a completely randomized design(CRD)with three aeroponics systems(high pressure(T1),low pressure(T2),and ultrasonic nozzle(T3)),hydroponic system(T4),and conventional cultivation system(T5)was *** analyses of variance(ANOVA)were employed to assess yield,chlorophyll content,relative water content(RWC),nutrient use efficiency(NUE),2,2-Diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazyl(DDPh),hydrogen Peroxide(h2O2),Ferric Reducing Antioxidant Power(FRAP),total phenolic(TPC),flavonoid content(TFC)and nutritional quality of butter-head *** experimental comparative results indicated that the shoot and root(fresh and dry)weight,root-to-shoot ratio,chlorophyll contents,CWC,NUE,DDPh,h 2O 2,FRAP,TPC,TFC,nitrate,vitamin C,and protein level were significantly(phigher in T 2 treatment,and the values were significantly(phe median values of the above-mentioned parameters were measured in aeroponics systems with low-pressure nozzle(T 3).It also found a strong positive correlation(r>0.7)among the Shoot(FW),Chlorophyll,RWC,NUE,and among TPC,TFC,DDPh,h 2O 2,and *** study demonstrates that butter-head lettuce grown in aeroponics systems with high-pressure nozzles may serve as a potential dietary source and is rich in natural antioxidants.

Information security has emerged as a key problem in encryption because of the rapid evolution of the internet and ***,the progress of image encryption techniques is becoming an increasingly serious issue and considerable *** space of the key,encryption-based low confidentiality,low key sensitivity,and easily exploitable existing image encryption techniques integrating chaotic system and DNA computing are purposing the main problems to propose a new encryption technique in this *** our proposed scheme,a three-dimensional Chen’s map and a one-dimensional Logistic map are employed to construct a double-layer image encryption *** the confusion stage,different scrambling operations related to the original plain image pixels are designed using Chen’s map.A stream pixel scrambling operation related to the plain image is ***,a block scrambling-based image encryption-related stream pixel scrambled image is *** the diffusion stage,two rounds of pixel diffusion are generated related to the confusing image for intra-image ***’s map,logistic map,and DNA computing are employed to construct diffusion operations.A reverse complementary rule is applied to obtain a new form of DNA.A Chen’s map is used to produce a pseudorandom DNA sequence,and then another DNA form is constructed from a reverse pseudorandom DNA ***,the XOR operation is performed multiple times to obtain the encrypted *** to the simulation of experiments and security analysis,this approach extends the key space,has great sensitivity,and is able to withstand various typical *** adequate encryption effect is achieved by the proposed algorithm,which can simultaneously decrease the correlation between adjacent pixels by making it near zero,also the information entropy is *** number of pixels changing rate(NPCR)and the unified average change intensity(UACI)both are very near to optimal values.

Mobile-Edge Computing(MEC)displaces cloud services as closely as possible to the end *** enables the edge servers to execute the offloaded tasks that are requested by the users,which in turn decreases the energy consumption and the turnaround time ***,as a result of a hostile environment or in catastrophic zones with no network,it could be difficult to deploy such edge *** Aerial Vehicles(UAVs)can be employed in such *** edge servers mounted on these UAVs assist with task *** the majority of IoT applications,the execution times of tasks are often ***,UAVs tend to have a limited energy *** study presents an approach to offload IoT user applications based on the usage of Voronoi diagrams to determine task delays and cluster IoT devices dynamically as a first ***,the UAV flies over each cluster to perform the offloading *** addition,we propose a Graphics Processing Unit(GPU)-based parallelization of particle swarm optimization to balance the cluster sizes and identify the shortest path along these clusters while minimizing the UAV flying time and energy *** evaluation results are given to demonstrate the effectiveness of the presented offloading strategy.

The greatest failure rate of reforestation programs is basically related to water deficit,especially at the seedling ***,the main objective of this work is to investigate the responses of three accessions of carob trees(Ceratonia siliqua L.)with 2-year-old from different climate regions to drought generated by four water treatments:Tc(250 mm),T1(180 mm),T2(100 mm),and T3(50 mm).The first accession(A1)comes from the protected national park of Ichkeul in northern *** zone belongs to the bioclimatic sub-humid *** second accession(A2)comes from Melloulech,located in the center-east of Tunisia,belonging to the bioclimatic semi-arid *** third accession(A3)comes from the mountain of Matmata,located in the south of Tunisia,belonging to the bioclimatic hyper-arid *** experiment was undertaken in a *** exchange indices(net photosynthesis(A),stomatal conductance(gs),transpiration rate(E),and internal CO_(2) concentration(Ci))were ***(Ψpd)and midday(Ψmd)leaf water potentials,relative soil water content(SWC),and morphological parameters(plant height(h),number of leaves(NL),number of leaflets(Nl),and number of branches(NB))were *** results showed that significant differences(Physiological and morphological parameters of each *** highest growth potential was recorded for Tc treatment in both accessions A1 and *** decreases in gs,E,Ci,and SWC were recorded with the increases in water stress applied from treatment T1 to *** and significant correlations were found between SWC andΨpd for all studied accessions.Ψpd andΨmd decreased as water stress increased,ranging from–0.96 to–1.50 MPa at sunrise and from–1.94 to–2.83 MPa at midday,respectively,under control and T3 *** accessions responded to drought through exhibiting significant changes in their physiological and morphological *** accessions A1 and A2 showed greater drought tol

In this paper, we discuss a mathematical model of malaria transmission between vector and host population. We study the basic qualitative properties of the model, the boundedness and non-negativity, calculate all equilibria, and prove the global stability of them and the behaviour of the model when the basic reproduction ratio R0 is greater than one or less than one. The global stability of equilibria is established by using Lyapunov method. Graphical representations of the calculated parameters and their effects on disease eradication are provided.

Residual stresses induced during turning processes can affect thequality and performance of machined products,depending on its direction and *** stresses can be highly detrimental as they can lead to creeping,fatigue,and stress corrosion *** final state of residual stresses in a workpiece depends on its material as well as the cutting-tool configuration such as tool geometry/coating,cooling and wear conditions,and process parameters including the cutting speed,depth-ofcut and ***,there have been disagreements in some literatures regarding influences of the abovementioned factors on residual stresses due to different cutting conditions,tool parameters and workpiece materials used in the specific *** review paper categorizes different methods in experimental,numerical and analytical approaches employed for determining induced residual stresses and their relationships with cutting conditions in a turning *** is presented for the effects of different cutting conditions and parameters on the final residual stresses state.
