Heteropoly Ionic Liquid Functionalized MOF-Fe:Synthesis,Characterization,and Catalytic Application in Selective Acetalization of Glycerol to Solketal as a Fuel Additive at Room Temperature,Solvent-Free Conditions

In this work,we have reported the synthesis of a series of heterogeneous catalysts,viz.,[HMIm]_(3)[PW_(12)O_(40)]@MOF-Fe,[HMIm]_(3)[PMo_(12)O_(40)]@MOF-Fe,and[HMIm]_(4)[SiW_(12)O_(40)]@MOFFe,by a simple impregnation *** catalysts were characterized by several techniques,such as FTIR,EDX,XRD,SEM,elemental mapping,and *** these materials,[HMIm]_(3)[PW_(12)O_(40)]@MOF-Fe had more acidic sites(confirmed by potentiometric titration)and high stability around 598℃(confirmed by TGA).The catalytic prospect of the materials was examined through selective acetalization of glycerol to solketal as a fuel additive under solvent-free and room-temperature conditions.[HMIm]_(3)[PW_(12)O_(40)]@MOF-Fe exhibited the highest catalytic activity among the three catalysts in terms of glycerol conversion(100%),solketal selectivity(100%),and solketal yield(100%).A recyclability study of[HMIm]_(3)[PW_(12)O_(40)]@MOF-Fe showed that the material could be reused for up to 7 cycles with insignificant loss in its catalytic performance.

Thin buccal bone has a risk of thread exposure, and placement of a graft is the mainline of treatment for thread exposure. However, this process takes time as the patient is expected to wait for healing to occur before the implant can be placed. To overcome the waiting period, this study views a different method. This study examines the use of guided bone regeneration on the day of implant placement on buccal bone where thread exposure occurs. This process has the advantage of avoiding the patient to go through multiple operations till receiving the final prosthetic treatment, also saving time and money for both the patient and the practitioner.

Information security has emerged as a key problem in encryption because of the rapid evolution of the internet and ***,the progress of image encryption techniques is becoming an increasingly serious issue and considerable *** space of the key,encryption-based low confidentiality,low key sensitivity,and easily exploitable existing image encryption techniques integrating chaotic system and DNA computing are purposing the main problems to propose a new encryption technique in this *** our proposed scheme,a three-dimensional Chen’s map and a one-dimensional Logistic map are employed to construct a double-layer image encryption *** the confusion stage,different scrambling operations related to the original plain image pixels are designed using Chen’s map.A stream pixel scrambling operation related to the plain image is ***,a block scrambling-based image encryption-related stream pixel scrambled image is *** the diffusion stage,two rounds of pixel diffusion are generated related to the confusing image for intra-image ***’s map,logistic map,and DNA computing are employed to construct diffusion operations.A reverse complementary rule is applied to obtain a new form of DNA.A Chen’s map is used to produce a pseudorandom DNA sequence,and then another DNA form is constructed from a reverse pseudorandom DNA ***,the XOR operation is performed multiple times to obtain the encrypted *** to the simulation of experiments and security analysis,this approach extends the key space,has great sensitivity,and is able to withstand various typical *** adequate encryption effect is achieved by the proposed algorithm,which can simultaneously decrease the correlation between adjacent pixels by making it near zero,also the information entropy is *** number of pixels changing rate(NPCR)and the unified average change intensity(UACI)both are very near to optimal values.

Background: Electronic cigarette (e-cigs) smoking is substitutional to traditional cigarette smoking to reduce the dangerous combustion of products. Moreover, passive smoking is involuntarily tobacco smoking due to the exposure to cigarette or tobacco smoke among non-smokers and due to there being little knowledge about the impact of passive e-cigs smoking on periodontal status and salivary pH. Therefore, the present study aimed to evaluate the effect of e-cigs smoking habit on periodontal tissue and salivary pH among some passive e-cigs smokers referred to the college of dentistry clinics, King Khalid University. Material and Methods: Ninety male participants who were referred to the college of dentistry clinics at King Khalid University were included in the study. Age, gender, e-cigs smoking, and general health were recorded. The participants were divided into three equal groups (n = 30) as follows: Group I (Non-passive e-cigs smokers and non-smokers) as the control group, Group II (e-cigs users), and Group III (Passive e-cigs smokers). Salivary pH, plaque control record (PCR), gingival bleeding index (GBI), clinical attachment loss (CAL), percentage of radiographic bone loss (% RBL), periodontal pocket depth (PPD), more than 5 missing teeth due to periodontal diseases (>5 MTDP), tooth mobility (TM), furcation involvement (FI), Bite collapse (BC), and less than 20 remaining teeth (10 Opposing pairs) (L20RT) as well as HbA1c were recorded. ANOVA test was used to the comparison between Groups I, II, and III in the participants’ ages and periodontitis staging clinical findings. The IEEE802.15.4 standard has been widely used in modern industry due to its several benefits for stability,scalability,and enhancement of wireless mesh *** standard uses a physical layer of binary phase-shift keying(BPSK)modulation and can be operated with two frequency bands,868 and 915 *** frequency noise could interfere with the BPSK signal,which causes distortion to the signal before its arrival at ***,filtering the BPSK signal from noise is essential to ensure carrying the signal from the sen-der to the receiver with less ***,removing signal noise in the BPSK signal is necessary to mitigate its negative sequences and increase its capability in industrial wireless sensor ***,researchers have reported a posi-tive impact of utilizing the Kalmen filter in detecting the modulated signal at the receiver side in different communication systems,including ***-while,artificial neural network(ANN)and machine learning(ML)models outper-formed results for predicting signals for detection and classification *** paper develops a neural network predictive detection method to enhance the performance of BPSK ***,a simulation-based model is used to generate the modulated signal of BPSK in the IEEE802.15.4 wireless personal area network(WPAN)***,Gaussian noise was injected into the BPSK simulation *** reduce the noise of BPSK phase signals,a recurrent neural networks(RNN)model is implemented and integrated at the receiver side to esti-mate the BPSK’s phase *** evaluated our predictive-detection RNN model using mean square error(MSE),correlation coefficient,recall,and F1-score *** result shows that our predictive-detection method is superior to the existing model due to the low MSE and correlation coefficient(R-value)metric for different signal-to-noise(SNR)*** addition,our RNN-based model scored 98.71%and 96.34%based on recall and F1-score,respectively.

Reproductive disturbances among Saudi adolescent girls and young women with type 1 diabetes mellitus

AIM To identify reproductive disturbances among adolescent girls and young women with type 1 diabetes mellitus(T1 DM) in Saudi *** This cross sectional study was conducted among 102 female with T1 DM,(aged 13-29 years) who attended the Diabetes Clinic at Diabetes Treatment Center, Prince Sultan Military Medical City, Saudi Arabia between April 2015 to March 2016. Clinical history, anthropometric characteristics and reproductive disturbance were collected through a *** Of 102 patients included in this analysis, 26.5%(27/102) were reported that they experienced an irregular menses. Of these patients, when compared to whose diabetes was diagnosed before menarche(35.4%, 17/48), patients diagnosed with diabetes after menarche(18.5%, 10/54) showed significantly less irregular menses(difference 16.9%, P = 0.04). Similarly, compared to patients diagnosed with diabetes prior to menarche(mean age 12.9 years; n = 48), patients diagnosed with diabetes after menarche(meanage 12.26 years; n = 54) were found to have 0.64 years delay in the age of menarche(P = 0.04). Among the studied patients, 15.7%(16/102) had polycystic ovary syndrome(PCOS). Of these PCOS patients, 37.5%(6/16) had irregular menses, 6.3%(1/16) had Celiac disease, 37.5%(6/16) had Hashimoto thyroiditis and 18.7%(3/16) had *** More than one fourth of the study population with T1 DM experiencing an irregular menses. Adolescent girls and young women diagnosed with diabetes prior to menarche showed higher menstrual irregularity and a delay in the age of menarche.
