The objective of this resea.ch is to investiga.e the effects of cosmic ra. Forbush Decrea.es (FDs) exceeding 7% in ma.nitude, occurring between 1985 a.d 2016, on upper a.mospheric pressure a.d tempera.ure a. a.ha.a.d Ta.ouk. Employing the super epoch a.a.ysis method, the study concentra.ed on a.titudes of 5 km a.d 10 km, uncovering significa.t va.ia.ions. Sea.ona. a.d synoptic-sca.e va.ia.ions were considered a.d excluded when necessa.y a.ross eight 9-da. periods. Both loca.ions showed considera.le fluctua.ions in pressure a.d tempera.ure before a.d a.ter the events. a. 5 km a.titude (21 events), a.ha.experienced more pressure increa.es both before (9 vs. 7) a.d a.ter (12 vs. 11) the events compa.ed to Ta.ouk. For tempera.ure, a.ha.recorded more increa.es before the events (5 vs. 1), while Ta.ouk showed more decrea.es (19 vs. 15). Post-event, Ta.ouk ha. more tempera.ure increa.es (13 vs. 10). a. 10 km a.titude (20 events), both regions experienced more decrea.es tha. increa.es in pressure a.d tempera.ure before the events a.d more increa.es a.terwa.d. Nota.ly, a.ha.experienced more pressure increa.es both 4 da.s before (9 vs. 7) a.d a.ter the events (12 vs. 11) tha. Ta.ouk. For tempera.ure, a.ha.recorded more increa.es before the events (5 vs. 1), while Ta.ouk showed more decrea.es (19 vs. 15). Post-event, Ta.ouk ha. more tempera.ure increa.es (13 vs. 10). These findings underscore both simila.ities a.d differences in a.mospheric responses to FDs between a.ha.a.d Ta.ouk. Both loca.ions exhibited cooling trends before a.d wa.ming trends a.ter the events, with Ta.ouk demonstra.ing a.more pronounced wa.ming trend post-event. These results enha.ce our understa.ding of the a.mospheric dyna.ics linked to FDs a.d a.sist in predicting wea.her pa.terns a.socia.ed with these phenomena.

METHODS: This is a.retrospective cha.t review of 204 pa.ients who ha. knee a.thropla.ty within the pa.t five yea.s(2007-2011) a. King a.dula.iz Medica. City in Riya.h, Kingdom of Sa.di a.a.ia. The da.a.collection form wa. developed utilizing the litera.ure review to ga.her a.l the needed va.ia.les. Da.a.were ga.hered from a.mission notes, nursing notes, opera.ive reports a.d discha.ge ***: a.fea.ible sa.ple of 204 pa.ients were included in the study. Of those pa.ients, 155(76%) were fema.es. The mea. a.e wa. 70.1 yea.s for ma.es(SD ± 9.4) a.d 62.7 yea.s(SD ± 8) for fema.es. Rega.ding the type of tota. knee repla.ement(TKR), 163(79.9%) pa.ients ha. unila.era. TKR a.d 41(20.1%) ha. bila.era. TKR. Nine pa.ients(4.4%) ha. a.norma. body ma.s index(BMI)(18.5 to a.ients(BMI 25 to a.s Ⅰ(BMI 30 to a.d obesity cla.s Ⅱ(BMI from 35 to a.d 29.9% of the pa.ients, respectively. Morbid obesity(BMI grea.er tha. 40) wa. present in 24.5%. The mea. dura.ion of surgery wa. 126.3 min(SD ± 30.8) for unila.era. TKR a.d 216.6 min(SD ± 55.4) for bila.era. *** mea. length of sta. in the hospita. wa. 12 d(SD ± 4.9). The complica.ions tha. pa.ients ha. a.ter the opera.ion included 2 pa.ients(1%) who developed deep venous thrombosis, 2 pa.ients(1%) developed surgica. wound infections a.d none ha. pulmona.y embolism. Pa.ients' cha.a.teristics(including a.e, gender, BMI a.d co-morbidities) did not ha.e a. effect on the opera.ive dura.ion of knee repla.ement nor the length of hospita. sta.. CONCLUSION: Our study shows tha. obesity a.d other pa.ients' cha.a.teristics do not ha.e effect on the opera.ive dura.ion nor the length of hospita. sta. following TKR.

In a.ril 2017, a.mini neutron monitor (NM) wa. insta.led a. King a.dula.iz City for Science a.d Technology (Ka.ST) centra. Sa.di a.a.ia.(Riya.h;cut-off rigidity, Rc = 14.4 Gv) for continuous observa.ion of the cosmic ra. (CR) neutrons. The detector wa. built a. a.ma.or a.pect of the interna.iona. scientific joint effort between the Centre of Spa.e Resea.ch (North-West University, Potchefstroom, South a.rica. a.d Ka.ST. The recorded da.a.correspond to low energy neutrons tha. prima.ily ha.e energies lower tha. 20 GeV. In this pa.er, a.brief description a.out the mini NM detector will be given. The influence of a.mospheric pressure on the recorded CR neutrons wa. studied a.d the ba.ometric coefficient wa. ca.cula.ed a.d used to elimina.e the pressure effects from the mea.ured da.a. The obta.ned coefficient wa. consistent with those previously obta.ned by severa. investiga.ors. The da.ly va.ia.ion of the CR neutron wa. studied a.d cha.a.terized. Short-term CR periodicities, such a. the 27-da. period, a.d its two ha.monics, were identified. The obta.ned periodicities a.e in a.reement with those reported by different resea.chers. The obta.ned results from this detector ha.e been compa.ed to the existing 1 m2 scintilla.or detector showing compa.a.le results. Long-term da.a.from this detector will be of incredible significa.ce to the resea.ch community to investiga.e severa. types of CR va.ia.ions resulting from sola. a.tivity a. such high cut off rigidity site.
