This article presents a novel modified chuck wagon dinner bell shaped millimeter wave(mm-wave)antenna at 28 *** proposed design has ultra-thin Rogers 5880 substrate with relative permittivity of *** design consists of T shaped resonating elements and two open ended side *** desired 28 GHz frequency response is achieved by careful parametric modeling of the proposed *** maximum achieved single element gain at the desired resonance frequency is 3.45 *** efficiency of the proposed design over the operating band is more than 88%.The impedance bandwidth achieved for−10 dB reference value is nearly 2.9 *** proposed antenna is transformed into four element linear array which increases the gain up to 10.5 *** fabricated prototype is tested for the measured *** is observed that measured results closely match the simulated *** considering its simple structure and focused radiation patterns,the proposed design is well suited for IoT(Internet of Things),mmWave microwave sensing,5G and future RF(Radio Frequency)frontends.

Health Monitoring of Induction Motor Using Electrical Signature Analysis

Induction motors have been widely used across industry,particularly with smaller loads and fixed speed *** works focus on fault detection of induction motors without considering the shutdown time and production in ***,this work aims to monitor the health conditions of the induction motor continuously through electrical signature analysis(ESA).The proposed technique is capable of predicting different kinds of faults,i.e.,rotor faults,stator phase imbalances,and supply cable faults at early ***,ESA in real time is ***,these current spectra were analyzed in frequency domain and compared with healthy current *** evaluation is implemented by observing these spectra under different faulty conditions.A comparative study is made and analyzed through MATLAB simulations.

Microwave-assisted synthesis of L-cysteine-capped nickel nanoparticles for catalytic reduction of 4-nitrophenol

A simple and efficient microwave-assisted procedure for synthesis of L-cysteine-capped nickel nanoparticles(cyst-Ni NPs) in ethylene glycol solvent was demonstrated. The as-synthesised NPs were characterised by ultraviolet–visible(UV–Vis) spectrophotometer, Fourier transform infrared(FTIR) spectroscopy, transmission electron microscopy(TEM) and X-ray diffractometry(XRD). The cyst-Ni NPs are proved to be excellent heterogeneous catalysts for the 100% reduction of 4-nitrophenol(4-NPh) in the presence of reductant(Na BH4)within reaction time of 40 s. In contrast, Raney nickel in similar sample environments shows only 25.5% *** kinetic and energetic behaviours of cyst-Ni NPs were also studied, and the reduction reaction is determined to follow pseudo-first-order kinetics with a rate constant value of 0.115 s-1 and activation energy of 36.1 kJ·mol-1. In addition to its high catalytic competence, cyst-Ni NPs catalyst exhibits excellent recyclability with negligible catalytic poisoning.

In this article,a novel unordered classification rule list discovery algorithm is presented based on Ant Colony Optimization(ACO).The proposed classifier is compared empirically with two other ACO-based classification techniques on 26 data sets,selected from miscellaneous domains,based on several performance *** opposed to its ancestors,our technique has the flexibility of generating a list of IF-THEN rules with unrestricted *** makes the generated classification model more comprehensible and easily *** results indicate that the performance of the proposed method is statistically significantly better as compared with previous versions of AntMiner based on predictive accuracy and comprehensibility of the classification model.

In this work,a novel compact wideband reconfigurable circularly polarised(CP)dielectric resonator antenna(DRA)is *** L-shaped Dielectric resonator antenna is excited by an inverted question mark shaped *** arrangement of feed-line helps to generate two orthogonal modes inside the DR,which makes the design circularly polarised.A thin micro-strip line placed on the defected ground plane not only helps to generate a wideband response but also assist in the positioning of the two diode *** switches located at the left and right of the micro-strip line helps in performing two switching *** novel compact design offers the reconfigurability between 2.9–3.8 GHz which can be used for different important wireless *** the switching operation I,the achieved impedance bandwidth is 24%while axial ratio bandwidth(ARBW)is 42%.For this switching state,the design has 100%CP ***,the switching operation II achieves 60%impedance bandwidth and 58.88%ARBW with 76.36%CP *** proposed design has a maximum measured gain of 3.4 dBi and 93%radiation *** proposed design is novel in terms of compactness and performance *** prototype is fabricated for the performance analysis which shows that the simulated and measured results are in close agreement.

Computation Rate Maximization for Wireless-Powered and Multiple-User MEC System with Buffer Queue

Mobile edge computing (MEC) has a vital role in various delay-sensitive applications. With the increasing popularity of low-computing-capability Internet of Things (IoT) devices in industry 4.0 technology, MEC also facilitates wireless power transfer, enhancing efficiency and sustainability for these devices. The most related studies concerning the computation rate in MEC are based on the coordinate descent method, the alternating direction method of multipliers (ADMMs) and Lyapunov optimization. Nevertheless, these studies do not consider the buffer queue size. This research work concerns the computation rate maximization for wireless-powered and multiple-user MEC systems, specifically focusing on the computation rate of end devices and managing the task buffer queue before computation at the terminal devices. A deep reinforcement learning (RL)-based task offloading algorithm is proposed to maximize the computation rate of end devices and minimizes the buffer queue size at the terminal ***, considering the channel gain, the buffer queue size and wireless power transfer, it further formalizes the task offloading problem. The mode selection for task offloading is based on the individual channel gain, the buffer queue size and wireless power transfer maximization in a particular time *** central idea of this work is to explore the best optimal mode selection for IoT devices connected to the MEC system. The proposed algorithm optimizes computation delay by maximizing the computation rate of end devices and minimizing the buffer queue size before computation at the terminal devices. Then, the current study presents a deep RL-based task offloading algorithm to solve such a mixed-integer and non-convex optimization problem, aiming to get a better trade-off between the buffer queue size and the computation rate. Ring Opening of Epoxy Fatty Esters by Nucleophile to Form the Derivatives of Substituted <i>β</i>-Amino Alcohol

The nucleophilic ring opening of epoxy fatty esters was carried out using the amino-1,2,4-triazole to yield substituted derivatives of β-amino alcohol. The synthesis of the substituted beta amino alcohols has been achieved by refluxing equimolar quantities of long chain epoxy esters (epoxy fatty esters) and 4-amino-1,2,4-triazole in dichloromethane to yield following compounds, methyl 10-(4'-amino-1',2',4'-triazole)-11-hydroxy undecanoate (V), methyl 9-(4'-amino-1', 2',4'-triazole)-10-hydroxy octadecanoate (VI), methyl 9-(4'-amino-1',2',4'-triazole)-10,12-dihydroxy octadecanoate (VII), methyl 12-(4'-amino-1',2',4'-triazole)-9,13-dihydroxy octadecanoate (VIII). Epoxides of esters of fatty acids were obtained by reaction of esters of fatty acids with mchloroperbenzoic acid. All the newly synthesized compounds were characterized by IR, 1H NMR, 13C NMR and mass spectrometry.

Atmospheric CO_(2)concentrations are soaring due to the continued use of fossil fuels in energy production,an anthropogenic activity that is playing a leading role in global ***,research aimed at the capture and conversion of CO_(2)into value-added products,such as cyclic carbonates,is *** CO_(2)is an abundant,cheap,non-toxic,and readily accessible Cl feedstock,its thermodynamic stability necessitates the development of highly efficient catalysts that are able to promote chemical reactions under mild *** this work,a novel mesoporous poly(ionic liquid)with dual active sites was synthesized through a facile method that involves co-polymerization,post-synthetic metalation,and supercritical CO_(2)*** to a high density of nucleophilic and electrophilic sites,the as-prepared poly(ionic liquid),denoted as P2D-4BrBQA-Zn,offers excellent performance in a CO_(2)cycloaddition reaction using epichlorohydrin as the substrate(98.9%conversion and 96.9%selectivity).Moreover the reaction is carried out under mild,solvent-free,and additive-free ***,P2D-4BrBQA-Zn also efficiently promotes the conversion of various other epoxide substrates into cyclic ***,the catalyst is found to have excellent substrate compatibility,stability,and recyclability.
