Healthcare workers' knowledge towards Zika virus infection in Indonesia:A survey in Aceh

Objective:To assess the knowledge on Zika virus(ZIKV) infection among healthcare providers(doctors) in Aceh province,***:A self-administered internet based survey was conducted from 3 may to 3 June 2016 among the members of doctor organizations in Aceh province.A set of validated,pre-tested questionnaire was used to measure knowledge regarding ZIKV infection and to collect a range of explanatory variables.A two-steps logistic regression analysis was employed to assess the association of participants' demographic,workplace characteristics and other explanatory variables with the ***:A total of 442 participants included in the final analysis and 35.9% of them(159) had a good knowledge on ZIKV *** model revealed that type of occupation,type of workplace,availability of access to medical journals and experience made Zika disease as differential diagnose were associated with knowledge on ZIKV *** addition,three significant source of information regarding ZIKV were online media(60%),medical article or medical news(16.2%) and television(13.2%).Conclusion:The knowledge of the doctors in Aceh regarding ZIKV infection is relatively *** who have a good knowledge on ZIKV infection are more confident to established ZIKV disease as differential diagnosis in their clinical ***,such program to increase healthcare providers' knowledge regarding ZIKV infection is needed to screen potential carriers of ZIKV infection.

Reconstruction of Scalar Field Dark Energy models in Kaluza-Klein Universe

This paper is devoted to study the modified holographic dark energy model by taking its different aspects in the t/at Kaiuza-Klein universe. We construct the equation of state parameter which evolutes the universe from quintessence region towards the vacuum. It is found that the modified holographic model exhibits instability against small perturbations in the early epoch of the universe but becomes stable in the later times. We also develop its correspondence with some scalar field dark energy models. It is interesting to mention here that ail the results are consistent with the present observations.

Radiation induced decontamination of Cr(Ⅵ),Cu(Ⅱ) and phenol in some tannery effluents

Industrialization has led to a number of environmental problems, such as release of toxic metals and other toxic organic and inorganic compounds to the environment. Among all, the rapid expansion of leather related industries in Pakistan have resulted in considerable environmental problems and effluents from processing of both domestic and imported hides and skins have increased pollution to alarming levels. Some tannery effluents of Peshawar area investigated in the present study showed high concentrations of Cr(Ⅵ) (2.7-12.6 mg/L), Cu(Ⅱ) (2.6-11.4 mg/L) and phenol (0.1-4.2 mg/L). These contaminants are very toxic and must be removed from effluents before releasing into water bodies. A new technique of gamma irradiation has been investigated to decrease the load of COD and concentrations of Cr(Ⅵ), Cu(Ⅱ) and phenol associated with tannery effluents to the permitted values. It was observed that concentration of Cr(Ⅵ) in the effluents can be brought to the permitted level by applying radiation dose of 3 kGy. A radiation dose of 2.5 kGy was required to remove more than 95% of Cu(Ⅱ) and 100 % degradation of phenol in tannery effluents could be achieved by only one kGy of radiation dose.

Bright, periodic, compacton and bell-shape soliton solutions of the extended QZK and (3+1)-dimensional ZK equations

The(3+1)-dimensional Zakharov–Kuznetsov(ZK) and the new extended quantum ZK equations are functional to decipher the dense quantum plasma, ion-acoustic waves, electron thermal energy,ion plasma, quantum acoustic waves, and quantum Langmuir waves. The enhanced modified simple equation(EmSE) method is a substantial approach to determine competent solutions and in this article, we have constructed standard, illustrative, rich structured and further comprehensive soliton solutions via this method. The solutions are ascertained as the integration of exponential, hyperbolic,trigonometric and rational functions and formulate the bright solitons, periodic, compacton, bellshape, parabolic shape, singular periodic, plane shape and some new type of solitons. It is worth noting that the wave profile varies as the physical and subsidiary parameters change. The standard and advanced soliton solutions may be useful to assist in describing the physical phenomena previously mentioned. To open out the inward structure of the tangible incidents, we have portrayed the three-dimensional, contour plot, and two-dimensional graphs for different parametric values. The attained results demonstrate the EmSE technique for extracting soliton solutions to nonlinear evolution equations is efficient, compatible and reliable in nonlinear science and engineering.

Interaction of antipsychotic drug with novel surfactants: micellization and binding studies

The interaction of cationic gemini surfactants(alkanediyl-α,ω-bis(alkyl dimethylammonium bromide)) with an antipsychotic drug(chlorpromazine hydrochloride(CPZ)) has been investigated. Various micellar and interfacial parameters have been deliberated by surface tension measurement to report the nature of interactions between drug and novel surfactant mixtures. The behavior of mixed systems, their compositions and activities of components have been analyzed in the light of Rubingh's theory. The results indicate synergism in the binary *** binding study between CPZ and surfactants has been done by spectroscopic techniques such as UV–visible and fluorescence. The results are discussed in the light of the use of gemini surfactants as promising drug delivery agents for phenothiazine drugs, and hence, improve their bioavailability.

Time gap for temporal cloak based on spectral hole burning in atomic medium

We demonstrate the possibility of creating a time gap in the slow light based on spectral hole burning in a fourlevel Doppler broadened sodium atomic system. A time gap is also observed between the slow and the fast light in the hole burning region and near the burnt hole region, respectively. A cloaking time gap is attained in microseconds and no distortion is observed in the transmitted pulse. The width of the time gap is observed to vary with the inverse Doppler effect in this system. Our results may provide a way to create multiple time gaps for a temporal cloak.

Charged Noncommutative Wormhole Solutions via Power-Law f(T) models

In this paper,we explore static spherically symmetric charged wormhole solutions in extended teleparallel gravity taking power-law f(T) *** consider noncommutative geometry under Lorentzian *** order to obtain matter components,we develop field equations using effective energy-momentum tensor for non-diagonal *** explore solutions by considering various viable power-law f(T) models,which also include teleparallel gravity *** violation of energy conditions obtain by exotic matter to form wormhole solutions in teleparallel case while,physical acceptable wormhole solutions exist for charged noncommutative wormhole solutions for some cases of power-law *** effective energy-momentum tensor and charge are responsible for the violation of the energy ***,we check the equilibrium condition for these *** equilibrium condition meets for the teleparallel case and some power-law solutions while remaining solutions are either in less equilibrium or in disequilibrium situation.

Integrated ozone–photo–Fenton process for the removal of pollutant from industrial wastewater

The use of hybrid advanced oxidation processes(AOPs) for the removal of pollutants from industrial effluents has been extensively studied in recent literature. The aim of this study is to compare the performance of the photo,Fenton, photo-Fenton and ozone–photo–Fenton processes in terms of color removal and chemical oxygen demand(COD) removal of distillery industrial effluent together with the associated electrical energy per order. It was observed from the experimental results that the O_3/UV/Fe^(2 +)/H_2O_2 process yielded a 100% color and95.50% COD removals with electrical energy per order of 0.015 k W·h·m^(-3) compared to all other combinations of the AOPs. The effects of various operating parameters such as H_2O_2 and Fe^(2+) concentration, effluent pH, COD concentration and UV power on the removal of color, COD and electrical energy per order for the ozone–photo–Fenton process was critically studied and reported. The color and COD removals were analyzed using a UV/Vis spectrometer and closed reflux method.

Kinetics and mechanistic investigation of epoxide/CO2 cycloaddition by a synergistic catalytic effect of pyrrolidinopyridinium iodide and zinc halides

Formation of styrene carbonate (SC) by the cycloaddition of CO2 to styrene oxide (SO) catalysed by pyrrolidinopyridinium iodide (PPI) in combination with zinc halides (ZnCl2, ZnBr2 and ZnI2) was investigated. Complete conversion of the SO to SC was achieved in 3 h with 100% selectivity using 1/0.5 molar (PPI/ZnI2) catalyst ratio under mild reaction conditions i.e., 100℃ and 10 bar CO2 pressure. The synergistic effect of ZnI2 and PPI resulted in more than 7-fold increase in reaction rate than using PPI alone. The cycloaddition reaction demonstrated the first-order dependence with respect to the epoxide, CO2 and catalyst concentrations. moreover, the kinetic and thermodynamic activation parameters of SC formation were determined using the Arrhenius and Eyring equations. The positive values of △H(42.8 kJ mol^-1) and △G(102.3 kJ mol^-1) revealed endergonic and chemically controlled nature of the reaction, whereas the large negative values of △S(-159.4 J mol^-1 K^-1) indicate a highly ordered activated complex at the transition state. The activation energy for SC formation catalyzed by PPI alone was found to be 73.2 kJ mol^-1 over a temperature range of 100-140℃, which was reduced to 46.1 kJ mol^-1 when using PPI in combination with ZnI2 as a binary catalyst. Based on the kinetic study, a synergistic acid-based reaction mechanism was proposed.
