Since ancient times,the inhabitants of dry areas have depended on the date palm(Phoenix dactylifera L.)as a staple food and means of economic *** example,dates have been a staple diet for the inhabitants of the Arabian Peninsula and Sahara Desert in North Africa for millennia and the local culture is rich in knowledge and experience with the benefits of dates,suggesting that dates contain many substances essential for the human *** dates are considered one of the most important types of dates in the Arabian Peninsula,with Ajwa being one of the most famous types and grown only in Madinah,Saudi *** seeds are traditionally used for animal feed,seed oil production,cosmetics,and as a coffee *** compounds that have been detected in date fruits and date seeds include phenolic acids,carotenoids,and *** acids are the most prevalent bioactive constituents that contribute to the antioxidant activity of date *** bioactive properties of these phytochemicals are believed to promote human health by reducing the risk of diseases such as chronic *** dates especially are thought to have superior bioactivity *** investigate these claims,in this study,we compare the metabolic profiles of Ajwa with different types of dates collected from Saudi Arabia and *** show by UHPLC-MS that date seeds contain several classes of flavonoids,phenolic acids,and amino acid derivatives,including citric acid,malic acid,lactic acid,and hydroxyadipic ***,GC-MS profiling showed that date seeds are richer in metabolite classes,such as hydrocinnamic acids(caffeic,ferulic and sinapic acids),than flesh *** N fruit extract(minimum inhibitory concentration:27 MIC/μM)and Sukkari fruit extract(IC_(50):479±0.58μg/mL)have higher levels of antibacterial and antioxidative activity than Ajwa ***,the seed analysis showed that seed extracts have better bioactivity effects than fruit extr

纱丽服原料扎丽纱中的蚕丝与包覆层金属元素的质量比在18：82～28：72之间，可根据蚕丝含量估算各种金属元素的含量。为了以更为准确的扎丽纱蚕丝含量数据估算金属元素含量，首先采用X射线荧光（ED—XRF）光谱仪对37个扎丽纱样品的金属元素纯度进行检测，然后根据3组扎丽纱蚕丝含量数据——常规含量、569个样品的平均含量、37个样品的平均含量，将检测的金属元素纯度值换算成含量值，并将各组测算结果与采用化学分析法的检测结果进行比较。统计分析表明，根据569个和37个扎丽纱样品的蚕丝平均含量估算的银、铜元素含量比根据蚕丝常规含量估算获得的结果更加准确，而依据3组蚕丝含量数据分别估算的金元素含量与化学分析法检测结果的差异均达到极显著水平（P〈0．01）。

目的探讨线粒体心肌病的临床特点及诊治。方法回顾分析1例罕见的线粒体tRNA变异致心肌病合并癫痫患儿的临床资料,并进行文献复习。结果患儿,男,15月龄,因反复抽搐入院,临床表现为发育迟缓,左心房室扩大、心肌肥厚、左心室收缩功能减低,血乳酸增高,视频脑电图异常;基因检测发现患儿携带tRNA基因4300A>G变异。诊断为线粒体心肌病,予强心、利尿、辅酶Q10和左卡尼汀改善代谢及抗癫痫治疗。目前随访3月余,患儿左心房室较前缩小,心功能明显好转。结论儿童心肌病合并神经系统功能障碍、高乳酸血症等多系统官功能障碍时,需注意线粒体心肌病可能。

扎丽纱(zari thread)是一种包裹了镀金的银-铜合金扁平金属线的精细染色蚕丝纱线。利用能量扩散X-射线荧光(ED-XRF)光谱仪(简称光谱仪)对扎丽纱进行无损分析,需要定期用扎丽纱的化学分析(破坏性的)数据进行校准。扎丽纱包覆层的金属成分不断改变以适应消费者的需求。为了准确校准光谱仪的数据,分别用化学分析法(质量法)和光谱仪对34个扎丽纱样品的金属包覆层进行测试。对扎丽纱金属包覆层的银、铜和金3种元素含量的测定数据进行统计分析的结果表明:用2种方法检测到的银和铜的含量均无显著差异;而金元素含量只有≥0.80%时,才适合用光谱仪检测,因为光谱仪所检测的只是金属包覆层的很小部分(50μm×50μm)。由于扎丽纱银-铜合金扁平金属线是镀金的,其中的金元素含量取决于电镀工艺条件,如单位时间电源电压变化、合金每秒所暴露的面积、溶液中金离子的浓度等。

Influence of Magnetic Treatment on Salts Leaching： From Soils of Different Salinity Levels

Leaching behavior of individual ions from three saline soils （S1 = 85.0 dS/m, S2 = 53.92 dS/m and S3 = 38.14 dS/m） under magnetic water （MW） treatment or non-magnetized well water （WW） was investigated in column study. After five pore volumes, soil electrical conductivity （EC） decreased to a range between 2.99-3.29 dS/m under the two water treatments. The rate of soluble cations leached was Na＋〉 Ca2＋〉 Mg2＋〉 K＋ and CI- 〉 SO42- 〉 HCO3- for anions under the two water treatments. The greater amount of salt leached was during the first two pore volumes and was higher under MW treatment. Among soils, the higher the initial EC, the greater the amount of the salt leached. Measurements of the exchangeable Na~ performed at the end of leaching experiment showed a high decrease in soil exchangeable Na＋ compared to the initial values of sodium adsorption ratio （SAR） and exchangeable sodium percentage （ESP） in the soil indicated that there was no prospects of soil sodification after leaching with five pore volumes.

Background: Chondrocytes in the growth plate(GP) undergo increases in volume during different cascades of cell differentiation during longitudinal bone growth. The volume increase is reported to be the most significant variable in understanding the mechanism of long bone ***: Forty-five postnatal Sprague-Dawley rat pups, 7-15 days old were divided into nine age groups(P7-P15). Five pups were allocated to each group. The rats were sacrificed and tibia and metatarsal bones were harvested. Bone lengths were measured after 0, 24, 48, and 72 hours of ex vivo incubation. Histology of bones was carried out, and GP lengths and chondrocyte densities were ***: There were significant differences in bone length among the age groups after 0 and 72 hours of incubation. Histological sectioning was possible in metatarsal bone from all age groups, and in tibia from 7-to 13-day-old rats. No significant differences in tibia and metatarsal GP lengths were seen among different age groups at 0 and 72 hours of incubation. Significant differences in chondrocyte densities along the epiphyseal GP of the bones between 0 and 72 hours of incubation were observed in most of the age ***: Ex vivo growth of tibia and metatarsal bones of rats aged 7-15 days old is possible, with percentage growth rates of 23.87 ± 0.80% and 40.38 ± 0.95%measured in tibia and metatarsal bone, respectively. Histological sectioning of bones was carried out without the need for decalcification in P7-P13 tibia and P7-P15 metatarsal bone. Increases in chondrocyte density along the GP influence overall bone elongation.

Syzygium campanulatum Korth is a plant, which is a rich source of secondary metabolites （especially flavanones, chalcone, and triterpenoids）. In our present study, three conventional solvent extraction （CSE） techniques and supercritical fluid extraction （SFE） techniques were performed to achieve a maximum recovery of two flavanones, chalcone, and two triterpenoids from S. campanulatum leaves. Furthermore, a Box-Behnken design was constructed for the SFE technique using pressure, temperature, and particle size as independent variables, and yields of crude extract, individual and total secondary metabolites as the dependent variables. In the CSE procedure, twenty extracts were produced using ten different solvents and three techniques （maceration, soxhletion, and reflux）. An enriched extract of five secondary metabolites was collected using n-hexane：methanol （1：1） soxhletion. Using food-grade ethanol as a modifier, the SFE methods produced a higher recovery （25.5%-84.9%） of selected secondary metabo- lites as compared to the CSE techniques （0.92%-66.00%）.

In developed and developing countries, breast cancer is one of the leading forms of cancer affecting women alike. As a consequence of growing lifeexpectancy, increasing urbanization and embracing Western lifestyles, the highprevalence of this cancer is noted in the developed world. This paper aims todevelop a novel model that diagnoses Breast Cancer by using heterogeneous datasets. The model can work as a strong decision support system to help doctors tomake the right decision in diagnosing breast cancer patients. The proposed modelis based on three datasets to develop three sub-models. Each sub-model worksindependently. The final diagnosis decision is taken by the three sub-models independently. The power of the model comes from the diversity checks of patientsand this reduces the risk of wrong diagnosing. The model has been developedby conducting intensive experiments. Several classification algorithms were usedto select the best one in each sub-model. As the final results, the sub-modelaccuracies were 72%, 74% and 97%.

A green synthesis method to produce silver nanoneedles was described using shallot and apricot tree gum（ATG）.A fast,simple,and low cost method was used to synthesize silver with nanoparticle and nanoneedle shape from the silver nitrate *** as a reducing agent and apricot tree gum（ATG） as a stabilizer and a capping agent were utilized to reduce and form silver ions into silver atoms with needle and particle ***,high crystalline structures of silver nanoparticles（AgNPs） with diameters of 8-20 nm and silver nanoneedles with average diameters of 50-60 nm and lengths of 5-10 μm were consequently synthesized by shallot and the mixture of shallot and ATG.A self-assembly mechanism was proposed to indicate the formation of needle-like structures of spherical Ag NPs via carbon chains of *** results indicate that the presence of ATG with shallot can transfer the reduced Ag NPs into the silver *** findings were characterized using X-ray diffraction（XRD）,ultra violet visible（UV-Vis） spectrometry,field emission scanning electron microscopy（FESEM）,and transmission electron microscopy（TEM） techniques.
