Growing concerns for food security and the alleviation of hunger necessitate knowledge-based crop management technologies for sustainable crop *** this study,13 winter bread wheat genotypes(old,relatively old,modern,and breeding lines)were evaluated under three different tillage systems,i.e.,conventional tillage(CT,full tillage with residue removed),reduced tillage(RT,chisel tillage with residue retained)and no-tillage(NT,no-tillage with residue retained on the soil surface)in farmer’s fields under rainfed conditions using strip-plot arrangements in a randomized complete block design with three replications in the west of Iran(Kamyaran and Hosseinabad locations)over two cropping seasons(2018–2019 and 2019–2020).The main objectives were to investigate the effects of tillage systems and growing conditions on the agronomic characteristics,grain yield and stability performance of rainfed winter bread wheat ***(P<0.01)genotype×tillage system interaction effects on grain yield and agronomic traits suggested that the genotypes responded differently to the different tillage *** number of grains per spike and plant height were positively(P<0.0)associated with grain yield under the NT system,so they may be considered as targeted traits for future wheat *** statistical models,the modern cultivars(“Sadra”and“Baran”)were identified as high yielding and showed yield stability across the different tillage *** per each tillage system,genotype“Sadra”followed by“Zargana-6//Dari 1-7 Sabalan”exhibited higher adaption to CT;while cultivars“Jam”and“Azar2”showed better performance under the RT system;and cultivars“Varan”and“Baran”tended to have better performance expression in the NT *** increased grain yields achieved in combination with lower costs and greater profits from conservation agriculture suggest that adapted cultivar and NT systems should be evaluated and promoted more widely to farmers in the west of Iran as an a

Effects of Temperature, Relative Humidity and Moisture Content on Seed Longevity of Shrubby Russian Thistle （ Salsola vermiculata L,）

Salsola vermiculata is a highly palatable shrub and widely used in rangeland rehabilitation programs, but has short seed longevity. To identify the most cost effective storage method for S. vermiculata, experiments were carried out to test the effects of fruit bracts （wings）, temperature regimes, seed moisture and packaging methods on storage life. Seed samples were removed from storage at monthly intervals for testing and towards the end of the experiments samples were transferred from hermetic to ambient storage conditions and tested for germination. Experiment 1 continued for 1,140 days, Experiment 2 for 720 days. For de-winged seed, high moisture content increased seed longevity, suggesting that desiccation susceptibility is one of the causes of limited longevity in this species. Most longevity regression lines of winged seeds had negative intercepts suggesting increase in germination resulting from gradual dormancy-breaking. Drying and packaging alone increased longevity by 7.6 and 3.8 times in Experiments 1 and 2, respectively. Samples kept at lower temperature and lower moisture treatments survived longer under ambient conditions. Increased longevity by drying and vacuum packaging alone can provide simple, cost effective and environmentally friendly options for rangeland rehabilitation programs.

Bayesian Estimation of Shrubs Diversity in Rangelands under Two Management Systems in Northern Syria

The diversity of shrubs in rangelands of northern Syria is affected by the grazing management systems restricted by the increase in human and livestock populations. To describe and estimate diversity and compare the rangeland grazing management treatments, two popular indices for diversity, the Shannon index and the Simpson index, were studied for the four combinations of two sites, Hammam and Obeisan, and two grazing methods, Closed and Open, using frequentist and Bayesian approaches. We simulated the a priori and a-posteriori distributions of the Shannon and Simpson diversity indices, where from a range of values for a constant in the a priori distribution the best value normalizing the distribution of the diversity indices was chosen. The Bayesian diversity estimates were higher than their frequentist counterparts and had lower standard errors. The grazing methods at each site and sites under each grazing method delivered significant diversity of shrub species. The Bayesian estimates resulted in lower p-values than the frequentist approach for two cases reflecting in Bayesian method’s higher power. Bayesian approach is recommended as it has a wider framework for inference on diversity studies.

A new tumor-associated antigen prognostic scoring system for spontaneous ruptured hepatocellular carcinoma after partial hepatectomy

Objective:Spontaneous hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC)rupture can be fatal,and hepatic resection could achieve a favorable long-term survival among all strategies of tumor ***,there is no available prognostic scoring system for patients with ruptured HCC who underwent partial ***:From January 2005 to May 2015,129 patients with spontaneous HCC rupture underwent partial *** clinical data were collected and *** risk factors affecting overall survival(OS)were used to develop the new scoring ***’s C statistics,Akaike information criterion(AIC),the relative likelihood,and the log likelihood ratio were calculated to measure the homogeneity and discriminatory ability of a prognostic ***:In the multivariable Cox regression analysis,three factors,including tumor size,preoperativeα-fetoprotein level,and alkaline phosphatase level,were chosen for the new tumor-associated antigen(TAA)prognostic scoring *** 1-year OS rates were 88.1%,43.2%,and 30.2%for TAA scores of 0–5 points(low-risk group),6–9 points(moderate-risk group),and 10–13points(high-risk group),*** TAA scoring system had superior homogeneity and discriminatory ability(Harrell’s C statistics,0.693 vs.0.627 and 0.634;AIC,794.79 vs.817.23 and 820.16;relative likelihood,both<0.001;and log likelihood ratio,45.21 vs.22.77 and 21.84)than the Barcelona Clinic Liver Cancer staging system and the Cancer of the Liver Italian Program in predicting *** results were found while predicting disease-free survival(DFS).Conclusions:The new prognostic scoring system is simple and effective in predicting both OS and DFS of patients with spontaneous ruptured HCC.

Like others countries of the world, in Niger also, we are witnessing an increasing use of non-linear electric loads in the domestic, hospital and industrial sectors. However, these loads degrade the shape of the electrical signal and cause disastrous effects to the equipment of the distribution system and the devices which are connected to the network. This article highlights the presence of electric harmonics in the distribution network in Niamey city. In order to do this, measurements were taken at the secondary level of the substations using an energy quality analyze r (FLUKE 1735). By using this measuring instrument, we quantified the voltage and current Total Harmonic Distortion (THD) in the three substations. The results obtained show that, although the statutable rates set by the standards are not exceeded for phase conductors, the neutral contains a very critical percentage of distortion on the residential and hospital substations. Moreover, this assessment made it possible to observe the variation of harmonics in the presence of voltage drops.

数据仓库和OLAP:在存储约束条件下改进物化视图选择数据仓库和联机分析处理(OLAP)已经渐渐成为数据库行业的中心,它们的能力和保障大大的提高了公司活动的成功率。数据仓库开发的一个重要的问题是物化视图集的选择,为了加快联机分析处理查询速度,需要限制空间和维护时间。另一方面,物化视图选择问题是一个NP问题,在三维模型中,视图的数目随着属性的增加而爆炸性的增长,并且高存储成本和高计算成本使它对于任何系统来说,要物化所有可能的视图都是不可行的。因此,物化所有的视图成为OLAP研究领域中的一个重要挑战。为了解决视图数目和存储成本的问题,本文提出了一种改进的贪婪算法,该算法在基于权重的情况下,选择最佳的视图进行物化。本文的第一部分首先回顾了数据仓库方面的基本概念,然后介绍联机分析处理的架构以及视图选择策略的处理。第二部分回顾了关于物化视图选择的相关工作,包括数据仓库和OLAP技术领域的许多研究成果,以及OLAP查询优化方面取得的成就,特别是物化视图选择的使用方面。第三部分提出了一种针对视图选择和物化的改进算法,在某些存储限制的情况下,该算法从候选视图集中选择一个最大程度利用单位空间的视图进行物化,一旦达到空间限制约束条件,并得到一个新的查询频率,就把物化视图集中最小花费的视图删除,重复执行该操作直到选择了一个最佳的物化视图集为止。最后,本文给出了该算法的仿真实验和查询结果。为了测试本算法的有效性,本文选择那些来自TPC-H基准查询集的查询作为我们的候选视图,因为这些查询结构都是由该候选视图集的第13次查询(视图)得到,本文添加了顶部视图,从而使其不能进行其他的查询。在本文的测试平台上,我们使用了复杂的SQL标准查询,查询集包含选择、映射、连接、存在或者不存在、外部连接,并且涵盖所有的常规聚合函数。我们在Windows Sever 2003操作系统上进行实验,内存为512兆,利用Microsoft SQL Server 2005查询生成器生成每一个查询结果,然后,利用Harinarayan等人提出的线性成本模型计算出每个查询的成本。根据实验结果的分析可以知道在进行第一次视图选择时,本文的算法和Harinarayan等人以及Chandrashekhar A. Dhote, Dr. M. S. Ali等人提出的经典贪婪算法具有同样的性能,然而,当在物化集中删除和添加新的视图时,本文的算法提高了物化视图选择的效率。

Silicon Solar Cell Space Charge Region and Capacitance Behavior under Electric Field

This paper investigates theoretically the behavior of the space charge region of a silicon solar cell and its associated capacitance under the effect of an external electric field. The purpose of this work is to show that under illumination the solar cell’s space charge region width varies with both operating point and the external induced electric field and how the solar cell capacitance varies with the space charge region width. Based on a 1D modelling of the quasi-neutral p-base, the space charge region width is determined and the associated capacitance is calculated taking into account the external electric field and the junction dynamic velocity. Based on the above calculations and simulations conducted with Mathcad, we confirmed the linear dependence of the inverse capacitance with space charge region width for thin space charge region and we exhibit an exponential dependence for large space charge region.

当今电力系统正在发生重大变化。如能源市场的自由化,常规能源的消耗和气候变化等,这些都是经济和环境共同作用的结果。因此,传统的集中式发电需要相应的电力系统改造。基于这些原因,加上分布式发电小规模和高效率的优点,分布式发电(DG)这项新技术正变得越来越流行。但同时这种新技术(DG)对配电网的影响很大,如功率,电压,电能质量和电网保护。在此基础上,本文分析了分布式发电对配电网的影响。目前,由于对地球表面太阳能的可利用率提高,光伏发电系统(PVS)发电量的增长速度越来越快。这导致了配电系统中光伏发电的比例不断上升。但PV的发电量是受天气情况影响的,这可能导致超/欠电压的问题。考虑到上述问题,本文对以评估光伏并网对配网的影响进行了研究。本文首先确立了光伏输出功率与太阳能辐射的概率模型及其关系模型。最后随机功率流方法进行研究。本文采用结合cumulants法与Gram-Charlier级数展开的方法。有了这个新的方法,我们将获得的电压的概率分布变量以及它们的概率密度函数。通过这种方法,我们也将研究这两个负载和太阳辐射的数字特征。最后可以评估电能质量。对IEEE34高渗透率光伏接入配电网进行了测试。结果表明该方法是真正有效的。

Compositional, Structural, Surface Characterizations of Natural Magnetite from Air Massif (Niger) in Relation to Its Catalytic Activity

Ferrimagnetic materials such as natural magnetite are used for practical applications because of their electronic, magnetic and catalytic properties in the degradation of organic compounds. In order to determine its physicochemical properties in relation to its catalytic activity, the natural magnetite of Ofoud Mount (Niger) is characterized by X-ray florescence (XRF), X-ray diffraction (DRX), specific surface area (BET) and Fourier transformed infrared (FTIR). The result shows an iron content of 97.09% and a specific surface area of 69.742 m2/g. The crystal structure of magnetite is cubic with lattice parameters α = β = γ = 90°, a (Å) = b (Å) = c (Å) = 8.3740. The results of this study suggest that the natural magnetite of Ofoud Mount can be used as iron source in various fields of science despite the presence of a few impurities that can improve its catalytic activity.
