Purpose:Description of safety and efficacy of micropulse lYanssderal cydophotocoagulation as a treatment option for refractory ***:This is a prospective study including 39 eyes of 31 patients foil owed for refractory glaucoma,who benefited from transsderal cyclophotocoagulation using a mic topi used *** main indication for tire procedure was increased ocular pressure refractory to quadri therapy in various types of *** patients were tieated using iridex Cyclo G6 laser with a Micropulse P3 infrared probe with a wavelength of 810 *** parameter for tire procedure were a duration of 90 s per hemisphere with a power of 2000 mW and an eneigy of 180 *** tire upper and lower hemispheres were treated in tire same procedure,sparing tire 3 o'clock and 9 o'clock meridians,and aD tire patients benefited from a single treatment *** following parameters were evaluated;ocular pain and overall tolerance;visual acuity;and tire evolution of IOP postoperatively up to 9 ***:The glaucoma subtypes treated are as follows:primaty open-angle glaucoma(n=05),chronic angle-closure glaucoma(n=13),neovascular glaucoma(n=07),aphakic glaucoma(n=06),malignant glaucoma(n=04),post-traumatic angle recession(n=02),and inflammatoiy glaucoma(n=02).The mean pre-operative intraocular pressure was 42.3±5.2 mmHg and tire mean post operative intraocular pressure at 9 months was 16.9±1.9 mmHg The reduction in IOP was 49.9%.The average number of intraocular pressure-lowering medications used prior to surgery was four,and tire average number of medications used at tire 9-month postoperative visit was 2.0±1.2(703%of patients were on dual therapy).The overall success rate was 60.9%.Conclusions:Micropulse transsderal cydophotocoagulation appears to be a safe and effident treatment for refractory *** indications should therefore be broadened and proposed early in various situations.

Contribution of the Fundus Examination in the Management of General Pathologies in Hospital in Lomé-Togo

Many general conditions have an impact on the fundus. The purpose of our work was to study the epidemiological profile of patients referred to our service for a review of the fundus and analyze the results. It was a retrospective study description of the examinations of the fundus during the period from January 2016 to December 2017. In the ophthalmology department of the Lomé University Hospital Center, during the study period, 1019 consultations were recorded, of which 727 were for fundus 6.84%. There were 336 men and 391 women, a sex ratio of 0.85. The age group 40 - 69 years accounted for 61.9%. The frequency of the main reasons for the request was hypertension 54.2% (N = 394);hypertension complicated or associated with other conditions (CKI, CKD, pregnancy and diabetes) accounted for 21.6% (N = 157), headache associated with a decrease in visual acuity 8.25% (N = 60), diabetes 6.46% (N = 47) and sickle cell disease 0.69% (N = 5). Hospitalized patients 52.41% (N = 381). The fundus was abnormal in 546 patients or 75.11%. Hypertensive retinopathy was found 80.21% cases in hypertensive patients, diabetic retinopathy 43.42 in diabetic patients. Diabetics Fundus examination in hospital practice found a retinal lesion in three-quarters of cases. It so important to ask the examination of the fundus most often in the current pactise.

Neurofibromatosis Type 1: About a Series of 5 Cases

We report in this series 5 cases of neurofibromatosis type 1 (NF1). The mean age of the patients was 14.8 years (±9.65) with extremes ranging from 3 to 27 years. Three patients were female (60%) and two were male (40%). Three of our patients (60%) had no history of NF1 and two were monophthalmic because of plexiform neurofibromas involving the eyelid. Both cutaneous and plexiform neurofibromas were found in all our patients. The latter were of variable location: one on the chin, two on the left temporofacial region and two on the left upper eyelid. They were the cause of complications such as blindness in two patients. Café au lait macule (CALMs) was also present in all our patients. No cases of optic nerve glioma were found in the 3 patients (60%) who underwent an orbitocerebral CT scan. Lish nodules were observed in 4 patients (80%). With the exception of the 3-year-old female patient who was not old enough to go to school, all the other four patients dropped out of school because of the stigma attached to them.

An analytical method for space-time fractional nonlinear differential equations arising in plasma physics

Here,a new fractional sub-equation method with a fractional complex transform is proposed for constructing exact solutions of fractional partial differential equations arising in plasma physics in the sense of modified Riemann-Liouville derivative,which is the fractional version of the known D_(ξ)^(α)G(ξ)/G(ξ)*** illustrate the validity of this method,we apply it to the space-time fractional KdV equation on the dust ion acoustic waves in dusty plasma and space-time Boussinesq fractional *** proposed approach is efficient and powerful for solving wide classes of nonlinear evolution fractional order *** solutions obtained here are new and have not been reported in former literature.

Nonlinear evolution equations(NLEEs)are frequently employed to determine the fundamental principles of natural *** equations are studied extensively in nonlinear sciences,ocean physics,fluid dynamics,plasma physics,scientific applications,and marine *** generalized exponen-tial rational function(GERF)technique is used in this article to seek several closed-form wave solutions and the evolving dynamics of different wave profiles to the generalized nonlinear wave equation in(3+1)dimensions,which explains several more nonlinear phenomena in liquids,including gas bubbles.A large number of closed-form wave solutions are generated,including trigonometric function solutions,hyper-bolic trigonometric function solutions,and exponential rational functional *** the dynamics of distinct solitary waves,a variety of soliton solutions are obtained,including single soliton,multi-wave structure soliton,kink-type soliton,combo singular soliton,and singularity-form wave *** de-termined solutions have never previously been *** dynamical wave structures of some analyt-ical solutions are graphically demonstrated using three-dimensional graphics by providing suitable values to free *** technique can also be used to obtain the soliton solutions of other well-known equations in engineering physics,fluid dynamics,and other fields of nonlinear sciences.

A MODEL OF A NEAR-ZERO ENERGY HOME(NZEH)USING PASSIVE DESIGN STRATEGIES AND PV TECHNOLOGY IN HOT CLIMATES

INTRODUCTION Recent development has seen a drastic increase in energy use trends in Saudi Arabian buildings leading to a demand for an effective course of action for energy conservation and production.A case study-based research initiative explor-ing near-zero energy potential in Saudi Arabia was undertaken.A 4-bedroom detached single-family faculty residence at King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals(KFUPM)representing common regional housing design trends was utilized.A base case simulation model of the house was developed and val-idated using short-term and real-time energy consumption *** sets of strategies:passive design strategies,representative codes and standards,and renewable technology were employed in the new design of the *** strategies com-prised a green roof,a ventilated wall system,a sloped roof,and insulation for thermal *** alternatives helped reduce the annual energy consumption of the house by 17.2%.The most recent version of the International Energy Conserva-tion Code(IECC 2012)was also incorporated along with ASHRAE Standard 62.2 for *** code and standard together reduced the annual energy consumption by 31.1%.Solar PV was then utilized to reduce grid utilization for the remainder of the house energy *** strategy provided 24.7%of the total energy consumed annually.A combination of strategies showed a 70.7%energy consumption reduction,thereby decreasing the energy index of the house from 162.9 to 47.7 kWh/m^(2)/*** Zero Energy Building(ZEB)concepts and strategies utilized in this study demonstrate a socially responsible approach to achieving near-zero energy performance for an existing house.

Abundant different types of exact soliton solution to the (4+1)-dimensional Fokas and (2+1)-dimensional breaking soliton equations

The prime objective of this paper is to explore the new exact soliton solutions to the higher-dimensional nonlinear Fokas equation and(2+1)-dimensional breaking soliton equations via a generalized exponential rational function(GERF) method. Many different kinds of exact soliton solution are obtained, all of which are completely novel and have never been reported in the literature before. The dynamical behaviors of some obtained exact soliton solutions are also demonstrated by a choice of appropriate values of the free constants that aid in understanding the nonlinear complex phenomena of such equations. These exact soliton solutions are observed in the shapes of different dynamical structures of localized solitary wave solutions, singular-form solitons, single solitons,double solitons, triple solitons, bell-shaped solitons, combo singular solitons, breather-type solitons,elastic interactions between triple solitons and kink waves, and elastic interactions between diverse solitons and kink waves. Because of the reduction in symbolic computation work and the additional constructed closed-form solutions, it is observed that the suggested technique is effective, robust, and straightforward. Moreover, several other types of higher-dimensional nonlinear evolution equation can be solved using the powerful GERF technique.

In this article,the fractional diffusion-advection equation with resetting is introduced to promote the theory of anomalous *** fractional equation describes a particle’s non-diffusive motion performing a random walk and is reset to its initial *** analytical method is proposed to obtain the solution of the fractional equation with resetting via Fourier and Laplace *** study the influence of the fractional-order and resetting rate on the probability distributions,and the mean square displacements are analyzed for different cases of anomalous regimes.

Significance of stromal-1 and stromal-2 signatures and biologic prognostic model in diffuse large B-cell lymphoma

Objective:Diffuse Large B Cell Lymphoma(DLBCL)is a heterogeneous group of tumors with different biological and clinical characteristics that have diverse clinical outcomes and response to ***-1 signature of tumor microenvironment of DLBCL represents extracellular matrix deposition and histiocytic infiltrate,whereas stromal-2 represents angiogenesis that could affect tumor ***:The aim of the present study is to assess the significance of stromal-1 signature using SPARC-1 and stromal-2 signature using CD31 expression and then finally to construct biologic prognostic model(BPM)in 60 cases of DLBCL via ***:Microvessel density(P<0.05)and SPARC percentage of expression(P<0.001)were higher in DLBCL,including germinal and nongerminal cases,compared with reactive follicular *** microvessel density was significantly associated with splenic involvement(P=0.008),high mitotic count(P=0.045),and presence of capsular invasion(P=0.035).Percentage of SPARC expression was significantly associated with splenic involvement(P=0.03).Constructing BPM showed that 42 cases(70%)were of low biologic score(0–1)and 18 cases(30%)were of high biologic score(2–3).Low BPM cases showed less probability for splenic involvement(P=0.04)and a higher rate of complete response to therapy compared with high score cases(P=0.08).Conclusions:The DLBCL microenvironment could modulate tumor progression behavior since angiogenesis and SPARC positive stromal cells promote dissemination by association with spleen involvement and capsular *** prognostic models,including modified BPM,which considered cell origin of DLBCL and stromal signature pathways,could determine DLBCL progression and response to therapy.

为了减轻电磁污染问题,人们对二维过渡金属二卤族化合物进行了深入的研究。由于其优异的物理和化学性质,可以成为生长材料的基体。可以构建和设计一种理想型的材料,作为有前景的微波吸收材料。由于界面极化和微观形貌对电磁波的衰减起着重要的作用,本文提出并生成了具有花状形貌的二维(2D)/二维异质结。该异质结可以为实现强界面极化提供较大的接触面积,并产生更多次的电磁波反射和散射。采用简单的两步水热法,成功合成了Mo Se@Mo S和Mo S@Mo Se内外互换异质结,该异质结由二维Mo Se和Mo S纳米片组成,具有花状形貌。结果表明,水热温度对其花状形貌和Mo S含量有显著影响。通过优化微结构,设计Mo Se@Mo S和Mo S@Mo Se异质结具有较强的吸收能力、较宽的吸收带宽和较薄的匹配厚度,综合吸收电磁波的性能得到了提高。总的来说,这一工作表明设计的异质结的优化电磁波吸收特性主要来源于特殊的界面和形态结构,这也为过渡金属二卤族异质结的设计和合成提供了新的途径,使其成为一种新理想型的高性能微波吸收材料。
