Environmental characteristics of anopheline mosquito larval habitats in a malaria endemic area in Iran

Objective:To determine the effects of environmental parameters of lanal habitats on distribution and abundance of anopheline mosquitoes in Rudan county of ***:This cross-sectional study was conducted during the mosquito breeding season from February 2010 to October 2011. The anopheline larvae were collected using the standard dipping method,the specimens were identified using a morphological-based *** with larvay collection,environmental parameters of the larval habitats including water current and turbidity,sunlight situation,and substrate type of habitats were *** samples were taken from breeding sites during lanal *** collection of samples,the water temperature was *** water samples were analysed for turbidity,conductivity,total alkalinity,total dissolved *** and ions including chloride,sulphate,calcium,and *** correlation analysis and ANOVA test were used to analyze the association between environmental parameters and larval mosquito ***:In total 2 973 lanae of the genus Anopheles were collected from 25 larval habitats and identified using morphological *** comprised of six species: ***(53.21%),***(24.22%),***(14.06%),***(4.07%),An. turkhudi(3.30%),and ***(1.14%).The most abundant species was *** which were collected from all of the study *** of two malaria *** and ***, co-existed and collected in a wide range of habitats with different physico-chemical parameters. Investigating poverty in rural Iran: The multidimensional poverty approach

In this study, rural poverty in Iran is investigated applying a multidimensional approach, association rules mining technique, and Levine, F and Tukey tests to household data of 2008. The results indicate that poverty in its multi-dimensions is an epidemic problem in rural Iran. The results also exhibit that there are 11 patterns of poverty in the rural areas including four main patterns with 99.62% coverage and seven sub-patterns with nearly 0.38% coverage. In these patterns, housing and household education are the most important dimensions of poverty and income poverty is the least important dimension. Government income support policy to households, in enforcement the law of targeting subsidies, cannot be regarded as pro poor policy but it follows other political aspects.
