The multimodel approach is a powerful and practical tool to deal with analysis, modeling, observation, emulation and control of complex systems. In the modeling framework, we propose in this paper a new method for optimal systematic determination of models base for multimodel representation. This method is based on the classification of data set picked out of the considered system. The obtained cluster centers are exploited to provide the weighting functions and to deduce the corresponding dispersions and their models base. A simulation example and an experimental validation on a semi-batch reactor are presented to evaluate the effectiveness of the proposed method.

In this paper, multimodel and neural emulators are proposed for uncoupled multivariable nonlinear plants with unknown dynamics. The contributions of this paper are to extend the emulators to multivariable non square systems and to propose a systematic method to compute the multimodel synthesis parameters. The effectiveness of the proposed emulators is shown through two simulation examples. The obtained results are very satisfactory, they illustrate the performance of both emulators and show the advantages of the multimodel emulator relatively to the neural one.

Background Real-time 3D rendering and interaction is important for virtual reality(VR)experimental ***,standard end-computing methods prohibitively escalate computational ***,reducing or distributing these requirements needs urgent attention,especially in light of the COVID-19 *** In this study,we design a cloud-to-end rendering and storage system for VR experimental education comprising two models:background and *** cloud server renders items in the background and sends the results to an end terminal in a video *** models are then lightweight-rendered and blended at the end *** improved 3D warping and hole-filling algorithm is also proposed to improve image quality when the user's viewpoint *** We build three scenes to test image quality and network *** results show that our system can render 3D experimental education scenes with higher image quality and lower latency than any other cloud rendering *** Our study is the first to use cloud and lightweight rendering for VR experimental *** results demonstrate that our system provides good rendering experience without exceeding computation costs.

The agriculture in Biskra,southeastern Algeria,is based on traditional practices and characterized by small irrigated *** the last decades,the increasing demand in water as well as the scarcity of rainfall has forced many farmers to use groundwater of low quality to maintain the profitability of their ***,this practice seems to be the main harmful factor for soil quality in the region since it is responsible for the salinization of the irrigated *** to assess the impact of this phenomenon,the soils of the irrigated perimeter of El Ghrous-a representative rural community located in the west of Biskra-have been analyzed.A set of 82 soil samples was collected from top and subsoil(0-15 and15-35 cm respectively),on which the following physicochemical analyzes were performed:Ca^(2+),Mg^(2+),K^(+),Na^(+),Cl^(-),SO_(4)^(2-),HCO_(3)^(-),NO_(3)^(-),pH,electrical conductivity(EC)and sodium adsorption ratio.A Principal Component Analysis was performed to individuate the geochemical processes that influenced significantly the evolution of soil salinity and its *** results showed a calcium sulfate(CaSO_(4))facies with a high risk of salinity and a low to medium risk of *** calcite residual alkalinity and generalized residual alkalinity decreased as the solutions became more *** of the samples were oversaturated in carbonate minerals(aragonite,calcite,and dolomite)and under saturated in evaporitic minerals(anhydrite,gypsum,and halite).Finally,two multiple linear regressions(using cations and anions as independent variables)have been proposed to quantify soil *** equations,with an accuracy of 85%,can represent a time and money-saving tool for managers and farmers to estimate the EC,in comparison to the traditional estimation methods.

Background With the aim of addressing the difficulty in identifying temperatures in virtual chemistry experiments,we propose a temperature-sensing simulation method of virtual chemistry *** We construct a virtual chemistry experiment temperature simulation platform,based on which a wearable temperature generation device is *** typical middle school virtual experiments of concentrated sulfuric acid dilution and ammonium nitrate dissolution are conducted to verify the actual effect of the *** The platform is capable to indicate near real-world experimental *** performance of the device not only meets the temperature sensing characteristics of human skin,but also matches the temperature change of virtual chemistry experiments in *** It is demonstrated that this temperature-sensing simulation method can represent exothermic or endothermic chemistry experiments,which is beneficial for students to gain understanding of the principles of thermal energy transformation in chemical reactions,thus avoiding the danger that may be posed in the course of traditional teaching of chemistry experiments *** this method does not have a convenient enough operation for users,the immersion of virtual chemical experiments can be enhanced.

Early severity predictors of snakebite envenomation in the southern region of Tunisia: a multivariate analysis

Objective:To identify the early predictors of severe envenomation in the southern region of ***:It was a retrospective monocentric study including consecutive patients admitted to the emergency department for snakebite *** envenomation was defined by a history of *** of severe envenomation were determined by univariate and multivariate ***:Our sample consisted of 109 patients aged 30(20-44)years with a 1.1:1 sex-ratio(56 males and 53 females).During the 24-hour surveillance period,25 patients developed severe envenomation(22.9%).The in-hospital mortality rate was 4.6%(n=5).The independent predictors of severe snakebite envenomation were leucocyte count over 11550/mm3(OR:18.7,95%CI:3.3-107.8),creatine kinase over 155 IU/L(OR:6.16,95%CI:1.1-35.6),and/or tourniquet before arrival to the ED(OR:32.14,95%CI:3.5-295.9).Conclusions:This study emphasizes the importance of early evaluation of snakebite *** studies are required to approve a severity scale proper to snakebite envenomation in Tunisia.
