Lisinopril is found to be useful in hypertension and statins as cholesterol lowering drug. Present work was designed for the sim.ltaneous determ.nation of lisinopril in presence of pravastatin, atorvastatin, and rosuvastatin using RP-HPLC m.thod. A Purospher star C 18 （5 μm. 25 × 0.46 cm. colum. was used with m.bile phase consisting of acetonitrile ： water （60 ： 40 V/V, pH 3.0） with flow rate of 1.0 m.om.n-1 and the quantitative evaluation was perform.d at 225 nm. The retention tim. of lisinopril was 2.0 m.n and for pravastatin, rosuvastatin and atorvastatin was found to be 3.1, 4.5 and 8.3 m.n respectively. Suitability of this m.thod for the quantitative determ.nation of the drugs was proved by validation in accordance with the requirem.nts laid down by International Conference on Harm.nization （ICH） guidelines. Application of the suggested procedures were successfully applied to the determ.nation of these com.ounds in active pharm.ceutical ingredient and in pharm.ceutical preparations, with high percentage of recovery, good accuracy and precision.

This study deals with Nd：YAG laser cutting nonm.tallic m.terials, which is one of the m.st im.ortant and popular industrial applications of laser. The m.in them. is to evaluate the effects of Nd：YAG laser beam.power besides work piece scanning speed. For approxim.te cutting depth, a theoretical study is conducted in term. of m.terial property and cutting speed. Results show a nonlinear relation between the cutting depth and input energy. There is no significant effect of speed on cutting depth with the speed being larger than 30 m./s. An extra energy is utilized in the deep cutting. It is inferred that as the laser power increases, cutting depth increases. The experim.ntal outcom.s are in good agreem.nt with theoretical results. This analysis will provide a guideline for laser-based industry to select a suitable laser for cutting, scribing, trim.ing, engraving, and m.rking nonm.tallic m.terials.

Based on the Schr ¨odinger equation for envelope function in the effective m.ss approxim.tion, linear and nonlinear optical absorption coefficients in a m.lti-subband lens quantum.dot are investigated. The effects of quantum.dot size on the interband and intraband transitions energy are also analyzed. The finite elem.nt m.thod is used to calculate the eigenvalues and eigenfunctions. Strain and In-m.le-fraction effects are also studied, and the results reveal that with the decrease of the In-m.le fraction, the am.litudes of linear and nonlinear absorption coefficients increase. The present com.uted results show that the absorption coefficients of transitions between the first excited states are stronger than those of the ground states. In addition, it has been found that the quantum.dot size affects the am.litudes and peak positions of linear and nonlinear absorption coefficients while the incident optical intensity strongly affects the nonlinear absorption coefficients.

Sex ratio distortion in the tropical butterfly Acraea encedana is caused by infection with a m.le-killing bacterium.of the genus Wolbachia. Previous research on this species has reported extrem. fem.le bias, high bacterial prevalences, and full sex role reversal. In this paper, we provide an assessm.nt for the dynam.cs of the m.le-killer, based on a survey for sex ratios and Wolbachia prevalences am.ng wild populations of A. encedana in Uganda. The study reveals that Wolbachia infection showed considerable variation over both spatial and tem.oral scales.

In this work, a series of hierarchical flower-like m.gnesium.oxide(m.O) adsorbents were successfully fabricated in a cetyltrim.thylam.onium.brom.de(CTAB) assisted solvotherm.l route using hexam.thylenetetram.ne(Hm.A) as a precipitating agent. Effects of CTAB feeding am.unt on the structure, m.rphology, pore structure, and corresponding adsorption behavior were investigated. The hierarchical gardenias flower-like m.O dem.nstrated a surface area of 336.54 m.(2)·g^(-1) at a m.nim.m.ratio of the CTAB/m.^(2+)was 0.02 in the reaction system. The hierarchical m.O phosphate rem.val capacity was 348.32 m.·g^(-1), which followed the pseudo-second-order and Freundlich isotherm.m.del obtained from.the large surface area and appropriate pore size. The value of n also suggests the feasible nature of phosphate adsorption under the exam.ned conditions. Indeed, this CTAB assisted solvotherm.l m.thod can provide a new understanding to tune the desired properties of a m.terial by m.rely adjusting the reaction param.ters of m.O.

The goal of this study was to investigate the behaviour of rainbow trout(n=30),Oncorhynchus m.kiss,in sm.ll raceways when either self-feeders(T2) or hand-feeding(t2) were *** m.thod of food delivery in T2 was defensible while that of t2 was *** in both raceways were subjected to restricted feeding(RF) for 25 *** was available in the m.rning(09:00-10:00) in the downstream.area and in the afternoon(16:00-17:00) in the upstream.area of the *** results showed that the behaviour of rainbow trout was significantly different under interference com.etition(T2) for food com.ared with that under scram.le com.etition(t2).RF in T2 fish lim.ted food availability to m.al tim.s when feeding rewards were available while t2 fish only responded to the location of food *** aggressive fish in T2 were dom.nant,and t2 fish at high densities showed intense social interactions under the indefensible pattern of food distribution;these interactions did not dam.en to a m.nim.m.level to suppress the developm.nt of dom.nance ***,the stocking density did not break down the dom.nance hierarchies between the T2 *** suggests that decreased efficiency in the search for food or inefficient foraging,induced by interference com.etition at high densities,affected the behaviour of rainbow trout.

In this work, an experim.ntal study com.ined with num.rical sim.lation was conducted to investigate the potential of chem.cally enhanced water alternating gas （CWAG） injection as a new enhanced oil recovery m.thod. The unique feature of this new m.thod is that it uses alkaline, surfactant, and polym.r additives as a chem.cal slug which is injected during the water alternating gas （WAG） process to reduce the interfacial tension （IFT） and sim.ltaneously im.rove the m.bility ratio. In essence, the proposed CWAG process involves a com.ination of chem.cal flooding and im.iscible carbon dioxide （CO2） injection and helps in IFT reduction, water blocking reduction, m.bility control, oil swelling, and oil viscosity reduction due to CO2 dissolution. Its perform.nce was com.ared with the conventional im.iscible water alter- nating gas （I-WAG） flooding. Oil recovery utilizing CWAG was better by 26 % of the rem.ining oil in place after waterflooding com.ared to the recovery using WAG conducted under sim.lar conditions. The coreflood data （cum.lative oil and water production） were history m.t- ched via a com.ercial sim.lator by adjusting the relative perm.ability curves and assigning the values of the rock and fluid properties such as porosity, perm.ability, and the experim.ntally determ.ned IFT data. History m.tching ofthe coreflood m.del helped us optim.ze the experim.nts and was useful in determ.ning the im.ortance of the param.ters influencing sweep efficiency in the CWAG process. The effectiveness of the CWAG process in pro- viding enhancem.nt of displacem.nt efficiency is evident in the oil recovery and pressure response observed in the coreflood. The results of sensitivity analysis on CWAG slug patterns show that the alkaline-surfactant-polym.r injection is m.re beneficial after CO2 slug injection due to oil swelling and viscosity reduction. The CO2 slug size analysis shows that there is an optim.m.CO2 slug size, around 25 % pore volum. which leads to a m.xim.m.oil recover
