2-Aminocyclopenta[d]pyrimidines 3a-c were achieved via a one-pot, three-component reactions of cyclopentanone 1, aromatic aldehyde and guanidine hydrochloride （1：2：1 molar ratio）. Also, cyclization of 2,5-bis-（arylmethylidene）cyclopentanones 2 with guanidine hydrochloride （1：1 molar ratio） in methanol in the presence of sodium methoxide afforded cyclopenta-[d]pyrimidines 3. Compound 3c has been shown to be a useful building block for the synthesis of some novel pyrimido[ 1,2-a]pyrimidines 5, 7 and 12. 6016铝合金的电磁驱动机械锤击平整加工

目的探究机械锤击平整加工对提高铝合金表面完整性和硬度的作用效果,研究锤击参数对平整表面质量的影响规律。方法采用电磁驱动机械锤击技术对6016铝合金进行平整加工,研究基于光栅路径的电磁驱动机械锤击加工机理,并提出主要锤击参数,进而分析主要锤击参数对平整表面质量的影响规律。利用泰勒霍普生轮廓仪、光学显微镜和维氏硬度仪分别获得机械锤击后铝合金的表面粗糙度、表面形貌以及硬度。结果电磁驱动机械锤击后,铝合金表面粗糙度达到0.05μm,获得了类似镜面的锤击表面。相对于铣削后的表面,机械锤击可消除铣削痕迹,没有明显的表面缺陷和划痕,具有良好的表面平顺能力,同时硬度可提升大约25%~32%。小节距和进给速度、高锤击频率有助于减小表面粗糙度和提高硬度。此外,节距是最重要的锤击参数,极大地影响表面粗糙度和加工效率。结论电磁驱动机械锤击对6016铝合金具有很好的表面强化和平整能力,可大幅减小表面粗糙度,并适当提高表面硬度,是一种新颖、有效、绿色的平整方式。

With the aim of enhancing the value of local building materials, the subject of this paper is a thermophysical study of natural Chadian clay from the eastern region of Chad, “Abeche”. Samples were taken from a brickwork in Abeche from a depth of 1 m, then using a clay brick-making press, 4 × 5 × 8 cm 3 clay test tubes were made with 2%, 4%, 6% and 8% cow dung, and a 100% clay sample was used as a control. These samples underwent thermophysical characterization using the hot-wire method with a hot-plane option, yielding results that could improve thermophysical performance. The thermal conductivity of the test sample is in the order of 0.715 to 0.420 W/m. K, at 8% for cow dung, so the addition of cow dung as a percentage in the clay matrix enabled us to obtain various satisfactory thermal parameters.

Background: Helicobacter pylori (Hp) infection is the most widespread bacterial infection in the world. The infection is generally acquired in childhood, but can persist into adulthood. Eradication therapy has undergone several modifications. The aim of this study was to evaluate the different therapeutic strategies used in the eradication of Helicobacter pylori infection in the Centre Hospitalier Universitaire La Reference Nationale of N’Djaména. Patients and methods: This was a prospective, descriptive analytical study spread over one year, from September 2021 to September 2022. Patients at least 15 years of age presenting with dyspeptic symptoms, seen consecutively in a hepato-gastroenterology consultation and with a positive stool test for H. pylori infection, were included in the study. Equally, 1/3 of patients were treated with dual or triple therapy. The remaining third received quadritherapy. Results: A total of 268 patients were included in the study (mean age 38.40 ± 14.66 with extremes of 16 and 80 years). males predominated in 58% of cases. Overall therapeutic efficacy was 88.9%. According to different therapeutic strategies, efficacy was 90.75% for dual therapy with PPI (Rabeprazole) and Amoxicillin. On the other hand, efficacy was 87% and 88.88% for PPI-based triple therapy and dual antibiotic therapy, and for PPI-based quadruple therapy and triple antibiotic therapy. Conclusion: H. pylori infection is a common disease in Chad. Dual therapy with rabeprazole combined with a high dose of amoxicillin over a period of at least two weeks showed similar if not better efficacy than triple or quadruple therapy.

Objective: To assess the antiangiogcnic activity of ***: Different fractions of fenugreek crude extracts were prepared and their antiangiogenic properties were assessed using the ex vivo rat aortic ring assay and in vivo chicken embryo chorioallantoic membrane(CAm) assay. They were investigated for their direct cytotoxic activity in the mCF7 cells using the mTT ***: The ethanol extract showed 100% inhibition of blood vessel outgrowth from primary tissue explants in the rat aortic ring assay at a concentration of 100μg/mL while the other extracts did not show significant antiangiogenic activity. The ethanol extract was therefore investigated at varying concentrations and exhibited a significant dose dependent effect. The CAm assay coincided with the results of the aortic ring assay as ethanol extract showed a significant inhibition of formation of new blood vessels. The extracts only showed anti-proliferative activity at the highest concentration of 400μg/mL towards mCF7 breast cancer cell lines in the mTT ***: Findings of the both assays confirmed that the ethanol extract inhibited vascularization significantly. Further studies on the ethanol extract would be beneficial in isolating the active ingredient responsible for the inhibition.

Background: Blood stream infections (BSI) are considered key issues in critical care units. methicillin resistant Staphylococcus aureus, mRSA-related infections, are considered a major health problem. This is attributed to the emerging new society dangerous strains with continuous antibiotics pressure and fluctuations in resistance patterns. Aim: We aimed to study epidemiology of methicillin resistance S. aureus (mRSA) infections by using conventional phenotypic methods [cefoxitin disk diffusion (CDD) and oxacillin screening agar] and molecular typing of the mec-gene (SCCmec) using multiplex PCR in Suez Canal University Hospital. methods: 100 non-repetitive staphylococcus aureus were collected and identified morphologically and biochemically by standard laboratory procedures. The strains were considered mRSA if the mIC of oxacillin ≥ 4 μg/ml, and the inhibition zone of cefoxitin was ≤21 mm (CDD). Characterization of SCCmec elements in isolated mRSA strains was done via multiplex-PCR. Results: From total of 100 isolates, eighty were detected as mRSA by using CDD (sensitivity and specificity were 83.6% and 24.4% respectively) and only 65 by using oxacillin screening agar (sensitivity and specificity were 85.5% and 60% respectively). mecA gene was identified in 55 samples;the majority of isolates were SCCmec type IVa (63.7%). Both type I and III of SCCmec couldn’t be detected. Antimicrobial sensitivity rates among SCCmec-V isolates were expectedly higher than those among Type-II isolates. SCCmec type II was characterized by 100% resistant to ciprofloxacin, erythromycin, oxacillin and cefepime as well as greater resistance to clindamycin (70%) with the same pattern between all typing strains (7 strains). Conclusion: SCCmec types IVa and V are generally dominant in our community with no detection of SCCmec types I or III. PCR is the optimum method for mRSA detection.

Background: Off-pump coronary artery bypass grafting (OPCAB) is considered a safer alternative to on-pump surgery, especially in patients with left ventricular dysfunction (LVD). Objectives: This study assessed short-term outcomes and functional improvements in LVD patients post-OPCAB. methods: The study included 200 coronary artery disease patients who underwent isolated off-pump coronary artery bypass grafting (OPCAB) at the National Heart Foundation Hospital and Research Institute between January 2019 and June 2020. Patients were categorized into Group 1, with a left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF) of 30% - 39%, and Group 2, with an LVEF of 40% or higher. Echocardiographic assessments of left ventricular dimensions and ejection fraction were performed preoperatively, at discharge, and one month postoperatively. Results: In Group 1, preoperative left ventricular internal dimensions during diastole (LVIDd) and systole (LVIDs) were 53.48 ± 4.40 mm and 44.23 ± 3.93 mm, respectively, with a left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF) of 35.28% ± 2.26%. At discharge, these values improved to 51.58 ± 4.04 mm (LVIDd), 41.23 ± 5.30 mm (LVIDs), and 39.25% ± 3.75% (LVEF). One month postoperatively, further improvements were observed: 46.29 ± 3.76 mm (LVIDd), 37.45 ± 3.68 mm (LVIDs), and 43.22% ± 4.67% (LVEF). Group 2 showed similar positive outcomes, with preoperative values of 47.09 ± 5.06 mm (LVIDd), 35.11 ± 5.25 mm (LVIDs), and 50.13% ± 7.25% (LVEF), improving to 42.37 ± 4.18 mm (LVIDd), 31.05 ± 4.19 mm (LVIDs), and 55.33% ± 7.05% (LVEF) at one month postoperatively. Both groups demonstrated significant improvements in left ventricular function and NYHA class, with most patients moving from class III/IV to I/II. Complications were minimal, and no mortality was observed. Conclusion: OPCAB is safe and effective for patients with LVEF 30% - 39% and LVEF ≥ 40%, providing significant short-term functional improvements without increased risk.

The Zargat Na’am ring complex crops out 90 km NW of Shalatin City in the Southeastern Desert of Egypt. The ring complex forms a prominent ridge standing high above the surrounding mafic-ultramafic hills. It is cut by two sets of joints and faults which strike predominantly NNW-SSE and E-W, and is injected by dikes, porphyritic alkaline syenites, and felsite porphyries. It consists of alkali syenites, alkali quartz syenites, and peralkaline arfvedsonite-bearing granitic and pegmatitic dikes and sills. The complex is characterized locally by extreme enrichments in REEs, wolframite and rare, high field strength metals (HFSm), such as Zr and Nb. The highest concentrations ({1.5} wt% Zr, {0.25} wt% Nb, {0.6} wt% ∑REEs) occur in aegirine-albite aplites that formed around arfvedsonite pegmatites. Quartz-hosted melt inclusions in arfvedsonite granite and pegmatite provide unequivocal evidence that the peralkaline compositions and rare metal enrichments are primary magmatic features. Glass inclusions in quartz crystals also have high concentrations of incompatible trace elements including Nb (750×10+{-6}), Zr (2500×10+{-6}) and REEs (1450×10+{-6}). The REEs, Nb and Zr compositions of the aegirine-albite aplites plot along the same linear enrichment trends as the melt inclusions, and Y/Ho ratios mostly display unfractionated, near-chondritic values. The chemical and textural features of the aegirine-albite aplites are apparently resultant from rapid crystallization after volatile loss from a residual peralkaline granitic melt similar in composition to the melt inclusions.

The podiform chromitites occur in a well-preserved mantle sequence consisting of lherzolite-harzburgite with abundant lenses of olivine dunite. The podiform chromitite deposits are common as small and irregularly shaped masses in the Southeastern Desert (SED) of Egypt. The podiform chromitites exhibit a wide range of compositions from high Cr to high Al varieties. The Cr of chrome spinel ranges from 0.67 to 0.88 in olivine-dunite, quite similar to that of the high-Cr chromitite, whereas it is around 0.62 in lherzolite-harzburgite. Primary hydrous mineral inclusions, amphibole and phlogopite, in chrome spinel have been reported for the first time from the Pan-African Proterozoic podiform chromitites. On the other hand, petrographic and geochemical evidence suggests that podiform chromitites in the SED of Egypt were formed as a result of crystallization of mafic melts, probably of boninitic composition, the boninitic parental magmas were probably produced by a second stage of melting above a subduction zone. Three types of chromite ores can be distinguished within the SED of Egypt: (a) sulphide-poor podiform ores; (b) brecciated ores; and (c) sulphide-rich ores. Two textural types of inclusions in chromite are distinguished: (1) primary silicate inclusions generally have high mg-number (>96), Cr and Ni, and are dominated by pargasitic amphibole, forsterite, diopside, enstatite and Na-phlogopite. A diversity of primary and secondary platinum group minerals (PGm) is described from the chromitites, including alloys, sulphides, sulpharsenides and arsenides of Ru, Os, Ir, Rh, Ni, Cu, Fe and Co; (2) in addition to primary PGm and hydrous silicates, the fluids are of low to moderate salinity, sodium-dominated aqueous solutions with complex gas contents. Variable amounts of water, hydrogen, hydrocarbons, carbon dioxides and nitrogen have been determined in inclusion-rich samples.
