squamous cell carcinoma of the anus （sCCA） is a com- mon cancer in the human immunodeficiency virus （HIV）- infected population, and its incidence continues to in- crease in male homosexuals. Combined chemoradiation with mitomycin C and 5-fiuorouracil was poorly tolerated by severely immunocompromised patients in the early 1990s. In the era of highly active antiretroviral therapy （HAART）, however, recent data indicate that：（1） most HIV patients with anal cancer can tolerate standard chemotherapy regimens; and （2） this approach is associ- ated with survival rates similar to those of HIV-negative patients. However, HIV-positive patients with sCCA are much younger, more likely to develop local tumor recur- rence, and ultimately die from anal cancer than immune competent patients. Taken together, these findings suggest that anal cancer is an often fatal neoplasia in mid- dle-aged HIV-positive male homosexuals. In this popula- tion, sCCA is an opportunistic disease resulting in patients with suboptimal immune function from persistent infection and prolonged exposition to oncogenic human papillomaviruses （HPVs）. Large-scale cancer-prevention strategies （routine anuscopy and anal papanicolaou test- ing） should be implemented in this population. In addi- tion, definitive eradication of oncogenic HPVs within the anogenital mucosa of high-risk individuals might require a proactive approach with repeated vaccination.

Today, induction machines are playing, thanks to their robustness, an important role in world industries. Although they are quite reliable, they have become the target of various types of defects. Thus, for a long time, many research laboratories have been focusing their works on the theme of diagnosis in order to find the most efficient technique to predict a fault in an early stage and to avoid an unplanned stopping in the chain of production and costs ensuing. In this paper, an approach called Park＇s vector product approach （PVPA） was proposed which was endowed with a dominant sensitivity in the case in which there would be rotor or stator faults. To show its high sensitivity, it was compared with the classical methods such as motor current signature analysis （MCsA） and techniques studied in recent publications such as motor square current signature analysis （MsCsA）, Park＇s vector square modulus （PVsM） and Park-Hilbert （P-H）（PVsMp_H）. The proposed technique was based on three main steps. First, the three-phase currents of the induction motor led to a Park＇s vector. was calculated to show secondly, the proposed PVPA the distinguishing spectral signatures of each default and specific frequencies. Finally, simulation and experimental results were presented to confirm the theoretical assumptions.

Electronic and Optical Properties of Tis2 Determined from Generalized Gradient Approximation study

The electronic and optical properties of Tis2 are studied of density functional theory. A linearized and augmented by using an ab-initio calculation within the frame plane wave basis set with the generalized gradient approximation as proposed by Perdew et al. is used for the energy exchange-correlation determination. The results show a metallic character of Tis2, and the plots of total and partial densities of states of Tis2 show the metallic character of the bonds and a strong hybridization between the states d of Ti and p of s below the Fermi energy. The optical properties of the material such as real and imaginary parts of dielectric constant （ε（w） = ε1（w）＋ iε2（w））, refractive index n（w）, optical reflectivity R（w）, for E / /x and E / /z are performed for the energy range of 0-.14 eV.

CFD Assisted study of Multi-Chapels Greenhouse Vents Openings Effect on Inside Airflow Circulation and Microclimate Patterns

The aim of this work is to study and quantify the air mass flow exchanged between inside and outside of the greenhouse, in order to determine the ventilation openings layout and the design effect on greenhouse airflow and microclimate distribution. The study was conducted over a 945 m2 multi-chapels arched greenhouse with a polyethylene cover and has thirteen crop rows oriented from north to south;the greenhouse was equipped with side wall and roof vents openings. A simulation was performed using different arrangements and configurations of ventilation openings with the same wind direction. Numerical simulation has been adopted in three dimensions (CFD), using the Fluent computer code which relies on the resolution of the Navier-stokes equations. These equations were solved in the presence of the turbulence model (k - ε) and the Boussinesq model equation adopted to incorporate buoyancy forces. The effects of solar and atmospheric radiation were included by solving the radiative transfer equation (RTE), using Discrete Ordinate (DO) model. The effects of the roof openings, the presence of anti-insect screens and crops orientation were investigated and quantified. In a 3-span greenhouse with an anti-aphid in-sect screen in the vent openings, combining roof and sidewall vents gave a ventilation rate per unit opening area that was 1.4 times more than with only side vents. In the latter case, the difference of temperature between the inside and the outside of the greenhouse was greater than 3°C. Numerical simulations with an anti-insect screen having a porosity of 56% showed that the air exchange rate with combined ventilation was reduced by 48%. Finally, the paper focused on the effect of vent arrangement on the efficiency of the ventilation and the distribution of the microclimate inside the greenhouse. Results showed that computed ventilation rates varied from 53.43 to 70.95 kg/s, whereas temperature differences varied from 7.15°C to 10.14°C. This study als

Background:This study is a component of a large research project on five major neglected zoonotic diseases(NZDs)including cystic echinococcosis and was undertaken in the Province of sidi Kacem over a period of four years(April 2009-March 2013).Methods:Questionnaires were administered at community level in a total of 27 communes and visits were made to all of the 10 abattoirs situated in the Province,to collect qualitative data on determinants of transmission for disease in humans and *** specifically,community knowledge,attitudes and practices related to cystic echinococcosis were assessed,as well as the extent to which local customs and behaviours may promote *** infrastructure and practices,and their role in perpetuating disease transmission were also critically ***:The results show that only 50%of people have heard of the disease,and of those,only 21%are aware of the dog’s role in disease ***-seven per cent of respondents stated that dogs are fed ruminant organs deemed unfit for human *** dogs have access to the family home,including the kitchen,in 39%of *** extent of this close proximity between humans and animals is even more pertinent when one considers that dogs are omnipresent in the community,with an average of 1.8 dogs owned per *** unrestricted access of dogs to abattoirs is a huge issue,which further promotes disease ***:This study would suggest that the high prevalence of cystic echinococcosis in humans and animals in Morocco is largely due to three factors:1)abundance of dogs 2)engagement in risky behaviour of the local population and 3)poor abattoir infrastructure and *** has serious implications in terms of the socio-economic impact of the disease,especially for rural poor communities.

The aim of this paper is to predict in details the distributed nocturnal climate inside a one hectare Moroccan canary type tomato-greenhouse equipped with continuous roof and sidewalls ventilation openings with fine insect screens, by means of 3D CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) simulations by using a commercial software package CFD2000 based on the finite volumes method to solve the mass, momentum and energy conservation equations. The turbulent transfers were described by a k-ε model. Likewise, the dynamic influences of insect screens and tomato crop on airflow movement were modeled by means of the concept of porous medium with the Boussinesq assumption. Atmospheric radiations contribution was included in the model by customising the plastic roof cover temperature deducted from its energy balance. Also, the CFD code was customized in order to simulate in each element of the crop cover the sensible and latent heat exchanges between the greenhouse air and tomato crop. simulations were carried out with a wind prevailing direction perpendicular to the roof openings (west-east direction). simulations were later validated with respect to temperature and specific humidity field measurements inside the experimental greenhouse. Also, the model was verified respect to global sensible and latent heat transfers. Results show that, generally, greenhouse nocturnal climate distribution is homogeneous along the studies greenhouse area. The insect proof significantly reduced inside airflow wind speed. But there is no significant effect on the inside air temperature and specific humidity respect to outside.
