Barhi dates at Khalal maturity stage are well-known with their pleasant taste,crispy texture,and bright yellow *** is necessary to extend the duration of Barhi Khalal stage which is too short for effective *** study aimed to inspect the effects of Gibberellic Acid(GA_(3))and Salicylic Acid(SA)postharvest treatments on retaining the high quality of Khalal Barhi fruits during controlled atmosphere *** samples of Barhi fruits at Khalal stage harvested at three different ripening levels were dipped after harvesting in GA3(150 ppm)or SA(2.0 mmol/L)and subsequently stored in controlled atmosphere(0°С,5%O_(2),5%CO_(2),80%±5%RH).The results revealed that the GA_(3) and SA treatments reduced the percentage of weight loss and decay in the fruits,while the total soluble solids ***,GA_(3) and SA treatments were significantly efficient in limiting the changes in fruit color and texture of Barhi dates compared to the *** results support the experimental data and disclosed that the GA_(3)(150 ppm)treatment in the controlled atmosphere(CA)storage was better in conserving the quality of Barhi at the Khalal maturity stage and delaying ripening process.

Squamous cell carcinoma of the anus （SCCA） is a com- mon cancer in the human immunodeficiency virus （HIV）- infected population, and its incidence continues to in- crease in male homosexuals. Combined chemoradiation with mitomycin C and 5-fiuorouracil was poorly tolerated by severely immunocompromised patients in the early 1990s. In the era of highly active antiretroviral therapy （HAART）, however, recent data indicate that：（1） most HIV patients with anal cancer can tolerate standard chemotherapy regimens; and （2） this approach is associ- ated with survival rates similar to those of HIV-negative patients. However, HIV-positive patients with SCCA are much younger, more likely to develop local tumor recur- rence, and ultimately die from anal cancer than immune competent patients. Taken together, these findings suggest that anal cancer is an often fatal neoplasia in mid- dle-aged HIV-positive male homosexuals. In this popula- tion, SCCA is an opportunistic disease resulting in patients with suboptimal immune function from persistent infection and prolonged exposition to oncogenic human papillomaviruses （HPVs）. Large-scale cancer-prevention strategies （routine anuscopy and anal papanicolaou test- ing） should be implemented in this population. In addi- tion, definitive eradication of oncogenic HPVs within the anogenital mucosa of high-risk individuals might require a proactive approach with repeated vaccination.

We propose a high-order enriched partition of unity finite element method for linear and nonlinear time-dependent diffusion *** solution of this class of problems often exhibits non-smooth features such as steep gradients and boundary layers which can be very challenging to recover using the conventional low-order finite element methods.A class of steady-state exponential functions has been widely used for enrichment and its performance to numerically solve these challenges has been ***,these enrichment functions have been used only in context of the standard h-version refinement or the so-called q-version *** this paper we demonstrate that the p-version refinement can also be a very attractive option in terms of the efficiency and the accuracy in the enriched partition of unity finite element ***,the transient diffusion problem is integrated in time using a semi-implicit scheme and the semi-discrete problem is then integrated in space using the p-version enriched finite *** results are presented for three test examples of timedependent diffusion problems in both homogeneous and heterogeneous *** computed results show the significant improvement when using the p-version refined enriched approximations in the finite element *** addition,these results support our expectations for a robust and high-order accurate enriched partition of unity finite element method.

In this study, accessibility and location-allocation models have been integrated into GIS to improve spatial planning and environmental sustainability of health services in Al-Madinah Al-Munawwarah. This integration provides a planning framework in order to check the efficiency of the spatial allocation of health services and to generate alternatives either by proposing an active service or to improve an existing one. To achieve these objectives, the accessibility to the service area was analyzed within the analysis of health services networks, which are divided into eight types: public hospitals, specialized hospitals, health units, healthcare centers, infirmaries, clinic complexes, the Red Crescent Center, and ambulance facilities, with time intervals of (5 minutes - 10 minutes - 15 minutes) to access coverage ranges, and the location-allocation model was used based on the maximum coverage model within a response time not exceeding 15 minutes, The results of the study revealed the poor distribution of health services Al-Madinah Al-Munawwarah suffers from weak accessibility to health services coverage areas and is unable to meet the needs of its population at present. The current need for health services reached twenty-four locations, including two public hospitals, three specialized hospitals, two health centers, three ambulance facilities, four infirmaries, three clinic complexes, four health units, and three Red Crescent centers.

Porous organic frameworks(POFs)have become a highly sought-after research domain that offers a promising avenue for developing cutting-edge nanostructured materials,both in their pristine state and when subjected to various chemical and structural ***–organic frameworks,covalent organic frameworks,and hydrogen-bonded organic frameworks are examples of these emerging materials that have gained significant attention due to their unique properties,such as high crystallinity,intrinsic porosity,unique structural regularity,diverse functionality,design flexibility,and outstanding *** review provides an overview of the state-of-the-art research on base-stable POFs,emphasizing the distinct pros and cons of reticular framework nanoparticles compared to other types of nanocluster ***,the review highlights the unique opportunity to produce multifunctional tailoring nanoparticles to meet specific application *** is recommended that this potential for creating customized nanoparticles should be the driving force behind future synthesis efforts to tap the full potential of this multifaceted material category.

The AC-electronic and dielectric properties of different phthalocyanine films （ZnPc, CuPc, FePc, and H2Pc） were investigated over a wide range of temperature. Both real and imaginary parts of the dielectric constant （ε = ε1 - ε2） were found to be influenced by temperature and frequency. Qualitatively the behavior was the same for those compounds; however, the central atom, film thickness, and the electrode type play an important role in the variation of their values. The relaxation time, r, was strongly frequency-dependent at all temperatures and low frequencies, while a weak dependency is observed at higher frequencies. The relaxation activation energy was derived from the slopes of the fitted lines of In r and the reciprocal of the temperature （l/T）. The values of the activation energy were accounted for the hopping process at low temperatures, while a thermally activated conduction process was dominant at higher temperatures. The maximum barrier height, Wm, was found to be temperature and frequency dependent for all phthalocyanine compounds. The value Wm depends greatly on the nature of the central atom and electrode material type. The correlated barrier hopping model was found to be the appropriate mechanism to describe the charge carrier＇s transport in phthalocyanine films.

In-plane heteroatom substitution of graphene is a promising strategy to modify its properties. The ability to dope graphene with electron-donor nitrogen heteroatoms is highly important for modulating electrical properties of graphene. Here we demonstrate a transfer-free method to directly grow large area quasi free-standing N-doped graphene bilayers on an insulating substrate （Si3N4）. Electron-bombardment heating under nitrogen flux results in simultaneous growth of N-doped graphene and a Si3N4 layer on the SiC surface. The decoupling of N-doped graphene from the substrate and the presence of Si3N4 are identified by X-ray photoemission spectroscopy and low-energy electron diffraction. The substitution of nitrogen atoms in the graphene planes was confirmed using high resolution X-ray photoemission spectroscopy which reveals several atomic configurations for the nitrogen atoms： Graphitic-like, pyridine-like, and pyrrolic- like. Furthermore, we demonstrated for the first time that N-doped graphene could be used to efficiently probe oxygen molecules via nitrogen atom defects.

Introduction: Warkany syndrome, also called trisomy 8 mosaicism (T8M), is a rare genetic abnormality characterized by a large phenotypic variability. This heterogeneity leads to delayed diagnosis in the majority of cases. Frequently, development retardation is the first apparent anomaly that imposes genetic study, and hence diagnosis is done. In other situations, the revealing presentation is atypical. Aims: Report a case of T8M in a child followed up for recurrent respiratory infections and insists on the global assessment of patients. Case Description: The patient, aged six years old, has been followed up since his first year for recurrent infections. At birth, the medical assessment was normal apart from bilateral testis ectopia and hypospadias. By the age of nine months, he presented several respiratory infections associated with wheezing thereafter. Immunity investigations were normal and skin tests were positive for dog hair. By allergen eviction and asthma therapeutics, the infant improved. During his follow-up, development retardation has been noted in addition to facial dysmorphism and limb extremities aberrations. Imaging investigations showed the agenesis of both the corpus callosum and the right kidney. Karyotyping on peripheral leucocytes and fibroblast culture revealed T8M in 6% and 87% of examined cells respectively. Conclusion: In the present case, the patient’s complaint is related to allergy. However, a global assessment of the child led to a rare condition requiring more care and careful follow-up.

Soil and water conservation is essential for sustaining food production and for preserving the environment in arid and semi arid lands （ASALs） where conditions for agriculture and other land use systems are often harsh and unpredictable. The ASALs of Algeria are an important source of a variety of non wood forest products like Stipa tenacissima L. plant （esparto grass）. This research was conducted to determine the effects of different low concentration （〈 I%） polyacrylaJnide, Stipa tenacissima L. fiber （esparto grass fibers） and its mixtures with the polymer at water retention in arid and semi arid soil. All samples are characterized by infrared spectroscopy, X-ray Diffractometry, thermal analysis TG DSC and scanning electron micrographs （SEM）. The results showed that polymer blend in soil could improve better soil physical proprieties decreased evaporation and increase water retention in arid soils compared with application of any other blend at the same concentration. The use of Polyacrylamide-Cellulose blend appears to promise for reducing the labor cost of irrigation at arid and semi-arid soils, and offers safe and environmentally friendly inexpensive materials. The importance of Polyacrylamide-Cellulose blends to alleviate poor physical properties and retain water in these arid regions to sustain plant growth.

The current transition to sustainability and the circular economy can be viewed as a socio-technical response to environmental impacts and the need to enhance the overall performance of the linear production and consumption *** concept of biowaste refineries as a feasible alternative to petroleum refineries has gained *** has become an important raw material source for developing bioproducts and ***,effective environmental biowaste management systems for the production of bioproducts and biofuels are crucial and can be employed as pillars of a circular ***,typically plastics manufactured from bio-based polymers,stand to contribute to more sustainable commercial plastic life cycles as part of a circular economy in which virgin polymers are made from renewable or recycled raw *** frameworks and strategies are utilized to model and illustrate additional patterns in fossil fuel and bioplastic feedstock prices for various governments'long-term *** review paper highlights the harmful impacts of fossil-based plastic on the environment and human health,as well as the mass need for eco-friendly alternatives such as biodegradable *** new types of bioplastics derived from renewable resources(e.g.,biowastes,agricultural wastes,or microalgae)and choosing the appropriate end-of-life option(e.g.,anaerobic digestion)may be the right direction to ensure the sustainability of bioplastic *** regulation and financial incentives are still required to scale from niche polymers to large-scale bioplastic market applications with a truly sustainable impact.
