HybridWatermarking and Encryption Techniques for Securing Medical Images

Securing medical data while transmission on the network is required because it is sensitive and life-dependent *** methods are used for protection,such as Steganography,Digital Signature,Cryptography,and *** paper introduces a novel robust algorithm that combines discrete wavelet transform(DWT),discrete cosine transform(DCT),and singular value decomposition(SVD)digital image-watermarking *** host image is decomposed using a two-dimensional DWT(2D-DWT)to approximate low-frequency sub-bands in the embedding *** the sub-band low-high(LH)is decomposed using 2D-DWT to four new *** resulting sub-band low-high(LH1)is decomposed using 2D-DWT to four new *** frequency bands,high-high(HH_(2))and high-low(HL_(2)),are transformed by DCT,and then the SVD is applied to the DCT *** strongest modified singular values(SVs)vary very little for most attacks,which is an important property of SVD *** two watermark images are encrypted using two layers of encryption,circular and chaotic encryption techniques,to increase *** first encrypted watermark is embedded in the S component of the DCT components of the HL_(2)*** second encrypted watermark is embedded in the S component of the DCT components of the HH2 *** suggested technique has been tested against various attacks and proven to provide excellent stability and imperceptibility results.

Since World Health Organization(WHO)has declared the Coronavirus disease(COVID-19)a global pandemic,the world has *** life’s fields and daily habits have moved to adapt to this new *** to WHO,the probability of such virus pandemics in the future is high,and recommends preparing for worse *** this end,this work provides a framework for monitoring,tracking,and fighting COVID-19 and future *** proposed framework deploys unmanned aerial vehicles(UAVs),e.g.;quadcopter and drone,integrated with artificial intelligence(AI)and Internet of Things(IoT)to monitor and fight *** consists of two main systems;AI/IoT for COVID-19 monitoring and drone-based IoT system for *** two systems are integrated with the IoT paradigm and the developed algorithms are implemented on distributed fog units connected to the IoT network and controlled by software-defined networking(SDN).The proposed work is built based on a thermal camera mounted in a face-shield,or on a helmet that can be used by people during *** detected images,thermal images,are processed by the developed AI algorithm that is built based on the convolutional neural network(CNN).The drone system can be called,by the IoT system connected to the helmet,once infected cases are *** drone is used for sterilizing the area that contains multiple infected *** proposed framework employs a single centralized SDN controller to control the network *** developed system is experimentally evaluated,and the results are *** indicate that the developed framework provides a novel,efficient scheme for monitoring and fighting COVID-19 and other future pandemics.

The Internet of Things(IoT)is a recent technology,which implies the union of objects,“things”,into a single worldwide *** promising paradigm faces many design challenges associated with the dramatic increase in the number of *** identification is one of these challenges that becomes complicated with the increase of network *** this,there is still no universally accepted method of identifying things that would satisfy all requirements of the existing IoT devices and *** this regard,one of the most important problems is choosing an identification system for all IoT devices connected to the public communication *** unique soft-ware and hardware solutions are used as a unique global identifier;however,such solutions have many *** article proposes a novel solution,based on the Digital Object Architecture(DOA),that meets the requirements of identifying devices and applications of the *** work analyzes the benefits of using the DOA as an identification platform in modern telecommunication *** propose a model of an identification system based on the architecture of digital objects,which differs from the well-known *** proposed model ensures an acceptable quality of service(QoS)in the common architecture of the existing public communication networks.A novel interaction architecture is developed by introducing a Middle Handle Register(MHR)between the global register,i.e.,Global Handle Register(GHR),and local register,i.e.,Local Handle Register(LHR).The aspects of the network interaction and the compatibility of IoT end-devices with the integrated DOA identifiers in heterogeneous communication networks are *** developed model is simulated for a wide-area network with allocated registers,and the results are introduced and discussed.

Unmanned Aerial Vehicles(UAVs)or drones introduced for military applications are gaining popularity in several other fields as well such as security and surveillance,due to their ability to perform repetitive and tedious tasks in hazardous *** increased demand created the requirement for enabling the UAVs to traverse independently through the Three Dimensional(3D)flight environment consisting of various obstacles which have been efficiently addressed by metaheuristics in past ***,not a single optimization algorithms can solve all kind of optimization problem ***,there is dire need to integrate metaheuristic for general *** address this issue,in this paper,a novel reinforcement learning controlled Grey Wolf Optimisation-Archimedes Optimisation Algorithm(QGA)has been exhaustively introduced and exhaustively validated firstly on 22 benchmark functions and then,utilized to obtain the optimum flyable path without collision for UAVs in three dimensional *** performance of the developed QGA has been compared against the various *** simulation experimental results reveal that the QGA algorithm acquire a feasible and effective flyable path more efficiently in complicated environment.

Next-generation networks,including the Internet of Things(IoT),ﬁfth-generation cellular systems(5G),and sixth-generation cellular systems(6G),suf-fer from the dramatic increase of the number of deployed *** puts high constraints and challenges on the design of such *** changing of the network is one of such challenges that affect the network performance,includ-ing the required quality of service(QoS).The fractal dimension(FD)is consid-ered one of the main indicators used to represent the structure of the communication *** this end,this work analyzes the FD of the network and its use for telecommunication networks investigation and *** clus-ter growing method for assessing the FD is introduced and *** article proposes a novel method for estimating the FD of a communication network,based on assessing the network’s connectivity,by searching for the shortest *** the cluster growing method,the proposed method does not require multiple iterations,which reduces the number of calculations,and increases the stability of the results ***,the proposed method requires less compu-tational cost than the cluster growing method and achieves higher *** method is quite simple to implement and can be used in the tasks of research and planning of modern and promising communication *** developed method is evaluated for two different network structures and compared with the cluster growing *** validate the developed method.

Occupational health risks among healthcare workers during the COVID-19 pandemic in Saudi Arabia: preparing for the future pandemics

Background:This study aimed to assess the occupational risks encountered by Healthcare Workers(HCWs)in Saudi Arabia during the COVID-19 ***:A cross-sectional survey was carried out from May to October *** a multi-stage stratified random sampling technique,an online questionnaire was sent to the recruited HCWs,across Saudi ***:Of the 768 HCWs recruited,702 participated in the survey.A significant majority(over 80%)reported working beyond 8 hours ***-19 infection,confirmed via PCR,was identified in 25%of the ***,infection was significantly correlated with direct or close contact(p=0.0007).Psychological distress was reported by 81%,with anxiety being the most prevalent(33%),followed by stress(19%),depression(17%),and insomnia(12%).Around 20%experienced headaches post-PPE use,while 14%reported adverse skin reactions,predominantly allergy and dermatitis.A concerning one-third of respondents reported exposure to ***:High infection rate,physical and psychological risks among HCWs especially those in direct contact with patients,reflect the need for enhancing the entirety of outbreak preparedness and response,specifically *** surveillance system,is crucial to adequately monitor and support HCWs during pandemic scenarios.

Application of Structuration Theory and Activity Theory in Enterprise Resources Planning Systems Implementation for Universities

An integration of organization culture in the conceptualization and development of Enterprise Resource Planning Systems （ERPs） is critical for an organization to reap potential benefits of the system. In this paper, the authors present an analytical approach through the Structuration Theory： How a university can assess its culture for the purposes of design and development of the ERPs. The authors extend the Structuration Theory by integrating it with the Activity Theory to provide the means of evaluating the activities that the system is to perform. The modified Orlikowski model is applied to depict the relationship between institutional properties, human agents, and technology in the university setup and how this offers a more inclusive approach to ERP systems development and implementation.

Implementing Enterprise Systems for Management： A Case of Kenyan Universities

Kenyan universities, as other business entities, are implementing various information systems to facilitate their operations. The systems include enterprise systems which are implemented to enhance institutional management given their emphasis on standardisation, streamlining, and integration of business operations. In this study, the authors have established that Kenyan universities have mainly implemented systems for finance and accounting, student admissions, examinations management, and library services. The authors have also established that there are no significant differences in information systems needs among Kenyan universities, but there are significant differences in strengths and weaknesses among the private and public universities in the capabilities of systems they have implemented. The authors have further established that despite fears especially on delays in projects implementation and system costs, Kenyan universities are in a position to implement enterprise systems to facilitate their operations. However, the universities need to allocate more funds to systems implementation if they have to successfully implement enterprise systems which generally require more resources than ordinary software applications.

Critical Success Factors for Executive Information Systems： A Case of Kenyan Organizations

In recent years, a number of organisations have implemented Executive Information Systems （EIS） including Computer-Based Information Systems （CBIS） in order to improve the performance of their executives＇ jobs though the majority of executives are unwilling to use EIS applications because of their design defects. Present researches on Executive Information Systems （EIS） are limited and less focused on the factors associated with EIS successful usage. This research adopts an extension of the Technology Acceptance Model （TAM） to derive useful variables to address the problem of the low usage of EIS by executives due to social factors, habits and facilitation conditions variables in Triandis＇ Framework. It reports on the adoption and usage of EIS by the executives in Organizations. The results show that experience in EIS usage was high with most respondents having used EIS for between 0 to 4 years （72.41%）, followed by the 5-9 years group with 25.86%. However, in terms of ability to use EIS, most executives were at the expert （knowledgeable）, casual user with 37.93%, followed by novice frequent user group with 31.03%. From this research, the authors propose a model that incorporates the habits, social factors and facilitating conditions in an Executive Information Systems.
