Maintaining the integrity and longevity of structures is essential in many industries,such as aerospace,nuclear,and *** achieve the cost-effectiveness of large-scale systems in petroleum drilling,a strong emphasis on structural durability and monitoring is *** study focuses on the mechanical vibrations that occur in rotary drilling systems,which have a substantial impact on the structural integrity of drilling *** study speciﬁcally investigates axial,torsional,and lateral vibrations,which might lead to negative consequences such as bit-bounce,chaotic whirling,and high-frequency *** events not only hinder the efﬁciency of drilling but also lead to exhaustion and harm to the system’s components since they are difﬁcult to be detected and controlled in real *** study investigates the dynamic interactions of these vibrations,speciﬁcally in their high-frequency modes,usingﬁeld data obtained from measurement while ***ﬁndings have demonstrated the effect of strong coupling between the high-frequency modes of these vibrations on drilling sys-tem *** obtained results highlight the importance of considering the interconnected impacts of these vibrations when designing and implementing robust control ***,integrating these compo-nents can increase the durability of drill bits and drill strings,as well as improve the ability to monitor and detect ***,by exploiting theseﬁndings,the assessment of structural resilience in rotary drilling systems can be ***,the study demonstrates the capacity of structural health monitoring to improve the quality,dependability,and efﬁciency of rotary drilling systems in the petroleum industry.

Improved MPPT Control Strategy for PV Connected to Grid Using IncCond-PSO-MPC Approach

This paper proposes a new hybrid maximum power point tracking(MPPT)control strategy for grid-connected solar systems based on Incremental conductance—Particle Swarm Optimization and Model Predictive Controller(IncCond-PSOMPC).The purpose of the suggested method is to create as much power as feasible from a PV system during environmental changes,then transfer it to the power *** accomplish this,a hybrid combination of incremental conductance(IncCond)and particle swarm optimization(PSO)is proposed to locate maximum power,followed by model predictive control(MPC)to track maximum power and control the boost converter to achieve high performance regardless of parameter variations.A two-level inverter,likewise,controlled by Model Predictive Control,is employed to inject the PV power *** this application,the MPC is based on minimizing the difference between the reference and prediction powers,which is computed to select the switching state of the *** proposed system is simulated and evaluated in a variety of dynamic conditions using Matlab/*** reveal that the proposed control mechanism is effective at tracking the maximum power point(MPP)with fewer power oscillations.

随着同步辐射光源和自由电子激光器相关技术的发展和光束质量的提升,对用于转递和聚焦光束能量的X光反射镜的指标要求也逐渐提高。为避免引入额外的波前误差,反射镜面形高度误差均方根值的要求已逼近至亚纳米量级。如此苛刻的面形要求对X光反射镜的测量工作带来了极大的困难和挑战。除了在各国同步辐射光源得到广泛使用的长程轮廓仪等基于角度测量的轮廓扫描仪器之外,基于激光干涉仪的拼接干涉技术也发展为测量同步辐射镜的一种有效手段。文中主要介绍了近期笔者等为测量X光反射镜而开发的拼接干涉平台。利用这一测量平台,研究了在不同的拼接参数下的多种拼接模式。着重讲述了其中纯软件拼接模式的基本原理和实际测量。用实测结果与不同测量仪器和不同研究机构的结果进行比对,验证了拼接干涉测量用于检测同步辐射镜的有效性,并展示了此拼接平台的测量表现。根据所得的测量数据看来,使用纯软件拼接模式来测量X光平面反射镜时,测量重复性的均方差值可以达到0.1 nm左右;而测量X光双曲柱面镜时(曲率半径的变化范围为50~130 m),测量重复性的均方差值为0.2~0.3 nm。此结果基本满足平面和接近平面(曲率半径大于50 m)的同步辐射镜常规检测和为确定性加工提供面形反馈的需要。

Antioxidant and anti-inflammatory activities of Arbutus unedo aqueous extract

Objective: To evaluate the antioxidant and anti-inflammatory activities of aqueous extract of Arbutus unedo(A. unedo) ***: In this context, the in vitro antioxidant activity was demonstrated by 2,2-diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazyl, hydroxyl radical and H_2O_2 radical scavenging, ferrous ion chelating, ferric reducing power, total antioxidant capacity and by the protection against peroxidation of b-carotene-linoleic acid in emulsion. The anti-inflammatory activity was evaluated first by studying the membrane of human red blood cells against different hypotonic concentrations of Na Cl and against heat, inhibiting the denaturation of ***: Total phenolic and flavonoid content were found respectively [(207.84 ± 15.03)mg gallic acid equivalent/g, and(13.070 ± 0.096) mg quercetin equivalent/g]. The extract displayed significant scavenging activity of some radicals such as 2,2-diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazyl [IC_(50)at(7.956 ± 0.278) mg/m L],OH [IC_(50)=(1 015.74 ± 46.35 mg/m L)], H_2O_2[IC_(50)=(114.77 ± 16.86) mg/m L] and showed a good antioxidant activity through ferrous ion chelating activity [IC_(50)=(1 014.30 ± 36.21) mg/m L], ferric reducing power [IC_(50)=(156.55 ± 17.40) mg/m L], total antioxidant capacity [IC_(50)=(461.67± 4.16) mg/m L] and b-carotene-linoleic acid protection against peroxidation [I% =(87.04 ± 1.21)% at 1 000 mg/m L].Conclusions: A. unedo showed in vitro anti-inflammatory activity by inhibiting the heat induced albumin denaturation and red blood cells membrane stabilization. Our results show that aqueous leaf extract of A. unedo has good antioxidant activity and interesting anti-inflammatory properties. A. unedo aqueous extract can be used to prevent oxidative and inflammatory processes.

A Mathematical Model to Solve Bio-Heat Transfer Problems through a Bio-Heat Transfer Equation with Quadratic Temperature-Dependent Blood Perfusion under a Constant Spatial Heating on Skin Surface

We consider the one-dimensional bio-heat transfer equation with quadratic temperature-dependent blood perfusion, which governs the temperature distribution inside biological tissues. Using an extended mapping method with symbolic computation, we obtain the exact analytical thermal traveling wave solution, which describes the non-uniform temperature distribution inside the bodies. The found exact solution is used to investigate the temperature distribution in the tissues. It is found that the surrounding medium with higher temperature does not necessarily imply that the tissue will quickly (after a short duration of heating process) reach the desired temperature. It is also found that increased perfusion causes a decline in local temperature.

Does the platinum-loading in proton-exchange membrane fuel cell cathodes influence the durability of the membrane-electrode assembly?

MEAs with various cathode Pt loadings were elaborated and aged using a multiple-stressor accelerated stress test (AST) in a segmented PEMFC. The thinnest (lowest Pt loading) cathodes have lower initial activity, owing to larger oxygen reduction reaction hindrance and oxygen transport resistance. Although the lowest cathode Pt loadings initially degrade faster, the overall loss of ECSA at end-of-test is nearly similar whatever the cathode Pt loading, with no local heterogeneities of aging detected along the gas channels. The cathode Pt/C catalyst degrades mostly by Ostwald ripening (which seems more pronounced for lower cathode Pt loading) and nanoparticles agglomeration, owing to superficial carbon functionalization and related Pt crystallite migration: no consequent carbon corrosion is witnessed in this AST. Also, the oxidized Pt2+ ions formed by Pt corrosion diffuse/migrate roughly in a similar manner through the membrane for all cathode Pt loadings, and are re-deposited by crossover H2 close to the cathode|membrane interface. Overall, the mechanisms of Pt/C degradation are not depending on the cathode Pt loading for the chosen AST.
