The modem tramway has resurfaced as the cure to today＇s urban transport problems such as pollution, road congestion and uneven access to transit. However, trams at intersections often experience frequent and extended delays due to vehicles crossing the tram tracks. There is an increased potential for conflict between trams and vehicles at these locations and crashes are common. The question of the effects of human factors on trams crossroads safety has been little dealt with in literature. The general aim of this article is to further knowledge about the influence of tramway and surrounding environment on car＇s driver behavior at intersections. Understanding these influences, involve conducting a systematic review of the cognitive tasks related to driving and identifying the hazards that can arise at each task, and what factors can make these more or less likely to arise, considering the environmental design at intersections and behavioral factors. To achieve that, the HAZOP （Hazard and Operability Study） approach is conducted for this study. Concerning data collection, the methodology includes site visits to record user behavior and questionnaires to determine the opinion, concerns and knowledge of car drivers in interaction with the tram environment.

The increasing architecture complexity of data converters makes it necessary to use behavioral models to simulate their electrical performance and to determine their relevant data features. For this purpose, a specific data converter simulation environment has been developed which allows designers to perform time-domain behavioral simulations of pipelined analog to digital converters （ADCs）. All the necessary blocks of this specific simulation environment have been implemented using the popular Matlab simulink environment. The purpose of this paper is to present the behavioral models of these blocks taking into account most of the pipelined ADC non-idealities, such as sampling jitter, noise, and operational amplifier parameters （white noise, finite DC gain, finite bandwidth, slew rate, and saturation voltages）. Simulations, using a 10-bit pipelined ADC as a design example, show that in addition to the limits analysis and the electrical features extraction, designers can determine the specifications of the basic blocks in order to meet the given data converter requirements.

The aims of this work turn towards the valorization of the underutilized Raw Sugar Beet Pulp by-product to produce white Cellulose Microfibers(CMFs),and its potential effect as a reinforcement for the development of High-Density Polyethylene(HDPE)*** CMFs were first obtained by subjecting raw SBP to alkali and bleaching *** characterization techniques were performed to confirm the successful removal of the amorphous compounds from the surface of individual fibers,including SEM,XRD,TGA,and FT-IR *** CMF loadings(5–10 wt%)were incorporated as bio-fillers into HDPE polymer to evaluate their reinforcing ability in comparison to raw and alkali-treated SBP using twin-screw extrusion followed by injection ***–(Ethylene–Butene)–Styrene Three-Block Co-Polymer Grafted with Maleic Anhydride was used as a compatibilizer to improve the interfacial adhesion between fibers and the ***,mechanical,and rheological properties of the produced composite samples were *** was found that the Young’s modulus were gradually increased with increasing of fibers loadings,with a maximum increase of 30%and 26%observed for composite containing 10 wt%of CMFs and raw SBP,respectively,over neat ***,the use of coupling agent enhances the ductile behavior of the *** was also found that all fiber improves the hardness and toughness behavior of all reinforced composites as well as the complex modulus particularly at 10 wt%.The thermal stability slightly increases with the addition of *** study demonstrates a new route for the valorization of SBP *** fibers can be considered as a valuable bio-fillers candidate for the development of composite materials with enhanced properties.

N-Aryl-C-ethoxycarbonylnitrile imines (3a-g) react with ethyl cyanoacetate 1 in 1,3-dipolar cycloaddition to yield novel pyrazole-3,4-dicarboxylates (4a-g) in moderate yields. The reaction of pyrazole-3,4-dicarboxylates (4a, d) with hydrazine afforded pyrazolo[4,3-d]pyridazine-4,7-diones (5a, d) in good yields. All compounds were fully characterized by spectroscopic methods. Some of the newly synthesized compounds were evaluated for their cytotoxic activity against murine P815 mastocytoma cell line.

An investigation on flow and heat transfer due to mixed convection, in a lid-driven rectangular cavity filled with Cu- water nanofluids and submitted to uniform heat flux along with its vertical short sides, has been conducted numerically by solving the full governing equations with the finite volume method and the SIMPLER algorithm. In the case of a slender enclosure, these equations are considerably reduced by using the parallel flow concept. Solutions, for the flow and temperature fields, and the heat transfer rate, have been obtained depending on the governing parameters, which are the Reynolds, the Richardson numbers and the solid volume fraction of nanoparticles. A perfect agreement has been found between the results of the two approaches for a wide range of the abovementioned parameters. It has been shown that at low and high Richardson numbers, the convection is ensured by lid and buoyancy-driven effects, respectively, whereas between these extremes, both mechanisms compete. Moreover, the addition of Cu-nanoparticles, into the pure water, has been seen enhancing and degrading heat transfer by lid and buoyancy-driven effects, respectively.

Coupled natural convection and surface radiation within a square cavity, filled with air and submitted to discrete heating and cooling from all its walls, is studied numerically. The thermally active elements are centrally located on the walls of the cavity. Two heating modes, called SB and SV, are considered. They correspond to bottom and vertical left elements sinusoidally heated in time, respectively, while the top and vertical right ones are constantly cooled. The remaining portions of all the walls are considered adiabatic. The parameters governing the problem are the amplitude and the period of the temporally sinusoidal temperature, the emissivity of the walls , the relative lengths of the active elements and the Rayleigh number . The effect of such parameters on flow and thermal fields and the resulting heat transfer is examined. It is shown that, during a flow cycle, the flow structure can present complex behavior, depending on the emissivity and the amplitude and period of the exciting temperature. The rate of heat transfer is generally enhanced in the case of sinusoidal heating. Also, the resonance phenomenon existence, characterized by maximum fluctuations in flow intensity and heat transfer, is proved in this study.

Objective:The aim of this study is to detect in vitro the synergetic activity of colistin in combination with imipenem,amikacin or ciprofloxacin,at sub-inhibitory concentrations,against carbapenems-resistant(CR)Acinetobacter baumannii and Pseudomonas aeruginosa strains isolated from various wards in Annaba teaching hospital in eastern *** and Methods:The minimal inhibitory concentrations(MIC)were determined by broth macrodilution(BMD).Carbapenemase encoding genes were screened using polymerase chain reaction(PCR).The activity of colistin in combination with second antibiotic was evaluated by the Checkerboard ***:39 CR *** and 21 CR *** strains where *** MIC values ranging from(0.25 to 4μg/ml)to colistin,≥16μg/ml for imipenem,≥4μg/ml to amikacin and≥8μg/ml *** PCR reveals the presence of the genes blaOXA23(n=12),blaOXA24(n=6),blaNDM1(n=3)in *** and blaVIM2(n=12)in *** combination of colistin with imipenem showed synergistic effect on 57.14%and 46.15%of *** and *** isolates,*** colistin and amikacin,the synergistic effect is detected in 28.6%of *** and 30.8%of *** colistin and ciprofloxacin showed synergy on 14.29%and 15.38%of *** and *** isolates,***:CR *** and *** remain the most prevalent infection agents in patients from high-risk wards at Annaba *** associated with imipenem or with amikacin at sub-inhibitory concentrations gives very encouraging results allowing better management of infections caused by this type of bacteria.

Genetic diversity of Moroccan sesame(Sesamum indicum L.)was analyzed for the first time using agro-morphological ***-three sesame populations collected from Tadla region in Morocco were evaluated for 13 parameters in three contrasted environments,Afr-13,Afr-14 and *** and significant variation among populations was observed only for three agro-morphologic traits,namely first capsule height(FCH),number of seeds per capsule(NSC)and thousand seeds weight(TSW).The respective overall averages were 71.82 cm(ranging from 65 cm to 77 cm),61.39(varying from 57 to 65)and 3.20 g(ranging from 3.0 g to 3.4 g).Environment had a highly significant effect on all studied parameters,except capsule size and oil *** obtained mean values of parameters studied showed that environment Afr-14 was the most favorable for most of them,particularly seed yield(1.32 t/ha)and TSW(3.57 g).Significant and interesting correlations were observed between seed yield per plant(SYP)and other *** relevant implication of this finding,number of capsules per plant(NCP)and NSC could be used as valuable selection criteria in sesame breeding ***,limited and non-significant variation among sesame populations for most of parameters studied suggests that they are genetically very close and may be derived from a single cultivar or *** characterization is needed to confirm or refute this ***,when compared with sesame grown throughout the world,Moroccan sesame was found to be very promising,which open up the possibility to develop this crop in this country.

The multiferroic ceramics Bi_(0.8)Ba_(0.2)Fe_(1-x)Sb_(x)O_(3)with x=0,0.01,and 0.02 were synthesized using the solid-phase reaction *** samples were sintered at two different temperatures,850℃and 900℃.Scanning electron microscopy revealed the effect of antimony concentration on grain size and *** effect of Sb-doping on the crystal structure and ferroelectric properties of these ceramics was investigated using X-ray diffraction,Raman spectroscopy,and dielectric *** dielectric constant was enhanced upon Fe^(3+)substitution by Sb^(3+)without affecting the dielectric loss of the *** tetragonal distortion of the rhombohedral symmetry of BiFeO_(3)caused by Ba-doping at Bi 3þsite was lifted by Sb-doping at Fe^(3+)site.
