An assessment of the human motion repeatability for three selected Activities of Daily Living(ADL)is performed in this paper.These exercises were prescribed by an occupational therapist for the upper limb rehabilitation.The movement patterns of five participants,recorded using a Qualisys motion capture system,are compared based on the Analysis of Variance(ANOVA)method.This survey is motivated by the need to find the appropriate task workspace of a 6-degrees of freedom cable-driven parallel robot for upper limb rehabilitation,which is able to reproduce the three selected exercises.This comparison is performed to justify,whether or not,there is enough similarity between the participants’gestures,and so a single reference trajectory can be adopted as the robot-prescribed workspace.Using the results of the comparative study,an optimization process of the sought robot design is carried out,where the structure size and the cable tensions simultaneously minimized.

This study delves into the dynamics of green product innovation,artificial intelligence(Al)adaption,and intellectual capital,investigating their impact on the competitiveness of firms in Oman.It emphasizes the crucial role of government intervention and R&D investments in this process.Based on the responses of 214 top managers in Oman,the research employs structural equation modeling to analyze the intricate relationships between these factors.The findings underscore a significant positive correlation between green innovation,Al implementation,and intellectual capital,with government involvement and R&D investments as vital moderators.This study provides a novel perspective on the synergy of technology,innovation,and intellectual capital in developing economies.It offers essential insights for business leaders,policymakers,and scholars,highlighting the necessity of integrating advanced technologies and sustainable practices in business strategies to achieve competitive advantage.The research adds to the existing body of knowledge on innovation and competitiveness.It offers practical implications for enhancing firm performance in Oman and similar emerging markets.

The discovery of efficient,selective,and stable electrocatalysts can be a key point to produce the largescale chemical fuels via electrochemical CO_(2) reduction(ECR).In this study,an earth-abundant and nontoxic ZnO-based electrocatalyst was developed for use in gas-diffusion electrodes(GDE),and the effect of nitrogen(N)doping on the ECR activity of ZnO electrocatalysts was investigated.Initially,a ZnO nanosheet was prepared via the hydrothermal method,and nitridation was performed at different times to control the N-doping content.With an increase in the N-doping content,the morphological properties of the nanosheet changed significantly,namely,the 2D nanosheets transformed into irregularly shaped nanoparticles.Furthermore,the ECR performance of Zn O electrocatalysts with different N-doping content was assessed in 1.0 M KHCO_(3) electrolyte using a gas-diffusion electrode-based ECR cell.While the ECR activity increased after a small amount of N doping,it decreased for higher N doping content.Among them,the N:ZnO-1 h electrocatalysts showed the best CO selectivity,with a faradaic efficiency(FE_(CO))of 92.7%at-0.73 V vs.reversible hydrogen electrode(RHE),which was greater than that of an undoped Zn O electrocatalyst(FE_(CO)of 63.4%at-0.78 V_(RHE)).Also,the N:ZnO-1 h electrocatalyst exhibited outstanding durability for 16 h,with a partial current density of-92.1 mA cm^(-2).This improvement of N:ZnO-1 h electrocatalyst can be explained by density functional theory calculations,demonstrating that this improvement of N:ZnO-1 h electrocatalyst comes from(ⅰ)the optimized active sites lowering the free energy barrier for the rate-determining step(RDS),and(ⅱ)the modification of electronic structure enhancing the electron transfer rate by N doping.

New prospective gas plays in pliocene sands, offshore Nile Delta Basin: A case study from Kamose-1 well at North Sinai Concession, Egypt

The Pliocene sands in the offshore parts of the Nile Delta Basin represent significant gas reservoirs.Several targets have been recently discovered in different places along the offshore Nile Delta Basin.The present work focuses on the possibility of discovering new natural gas resources at North Sinai Concession through an integrated method between seismic and well logs data interpretations.A case study from Kamose-1 Well at Kamose Field,North Sinai Concession has been examined.The quantitative explanation for the well log data of Kamose-1 Well has revealed two zones expected to be gas-bearing zones.These intervals are located between depths;1174–1186 m(zone I)and between 1429 and 1503 m(zone II).The calculated petrophysical parameters for these zones exhibit low water saturation(24–43%),high effective porosity(30–31%),low shale volume(21–26%),high total porosity(37–38%)and low bulk volume of water(0.07–0.12).Zone II(74 m thick)shows a clear bright spot on the seismic profiles covering the study area,while,zone I is beyond seismic resolution(12 m thick).Several seismic bright spots have been outlined on the seismic data nearby Kamose-1 Well.The comparison between the newly outlined seismic bright spots with the drilled one in Kamose-1 Well exhibited a great similarity.Accordingly,these prospects are expected to be new targets for gas exploration in the Pliocene succession at North Sinai Concession.

The tectonic deformation has a significant influence on the hydrocarbon reservoirs properties.The effect of this process focuses on the lateral distribution of the petrophysical parameters characterizing the hydrocarbon reservoirs.The main objective of the current study is to perform a petrophysical examination of the Abu Madi gas reservoir which is the greatest gas-bearing reservoir at Nile Delta Basin in order to examine how far the Messinian tectonics affected the lateral variations of these petrophysical parameters.This petrophysical evaluation was performed based on the wireline log data acquired for five wells,namely,Abu Madi-2,Abu Madi-7,El Qara-3,Nidoco-7,and Nidoco-9 drilled within the Abu Madi Paleo-Valley.The petrophysical assessment for the most promising zone intervals within the Abu Madi sandstones in the inspected wells show that the total porosity varies between 17%and 22%,the effective porosity ranges from 7%to 19%,the shale volume fluctuates between 16%and 30%,hydrocarbon satu-ration varies from 37%to 76%,and the bulk volume of water varies between 0.02 and 0.09.These significant variations in the petrophysical properties of the Abu Madi reservoir are attributed to the tectonic influence during the deposition of the Abu Madi Formation as a part of the Late Miocene synrift megasequence in the Nile Delta Basin.This conclusion confirms that the petrophysical properties of sandstone reservoirs are function of tectonic and structural deformation.

The 3D static reservoir modelling provides a good understanding for the hydrocarbon reservoir distri-bution and properties.This study aimed to construct a static model to study the gas-reservoir potentiality of the Messinian Abu Madi Formation in Baltim Field,offshore Nile Delta Basin.This model was constructed based on the interpretation of the thirty-seven 2D seismic sections besides the analysis of well logs data for five drilled wells(Baltim East-2,Baltim East-3,Baltim East-5,Baltim North-1 and Baltim North-2).The seismic interpretation exposed that the Abu Madi incised valley in Baltim Field is oriented NNW-SSE with width ranges from 5 to 8 km and approximately 32 km in length.The reservoir modelling revealed a relatively homogeneous reservoir facies qualities for gas production in two different zones within the Abu Madi sandstones.The trapping mechanism for these intervals is represented by pinching out in the two sides of the Abu Madi paleo-valley and bounded by two faults in the northern and southern parts of the study area.

Galectins are sticky molecules that bind toβ-galactoside.Their interactions render them essential players in many cellular processes.The imbalance of galectin expression was reported in many diseases.In cancer,galectins interact with the extracellular matrix,evade the immune system,and potentially have broad interactions with blood components.In the last ten years,since 2010,we did focus on galectin research in different cancer types.Ourﬁndings showed an interaction between cancer cells and erythrocytes via galectin-4.Moreover,we found that upregulation of galectins was associated with lymph node metastasis in ovarian cancers.Hence,with this,we shortly review some important aspects of galectins and their potential importance in more profound understanding of cancer progression and theﬁeld of cancer biomarkers.

The aim of the present study was to determine the prevalence of bovine cysticercosis in both cattle and buffloas, in Egypt and to assess the cysticidal efficacy of Balanites aegyptiaca fruits (B. aegyptiaca) and Moringa oleifera seeds (M. oleifera) extracts in experimentally infected mice. The study detected the level of tumor necrosis factor (TNF-α) to monitor the immune and inflammatory responses of experimentally infected mice. Through meat inspection, a total number of 2125 male bovine, 2 to 5 years old, (1125 cattle and 1000 buffloes) were examined under the authority of Albsatine and Alwaraq official abattoirs in Cairo Governorate, Egypt covering the period extended from March 2022 to April 2023. The overall prevalence of the disease among bovine was 7.8% (6.31% of cattle and 9.5% of buffloes). Besides, B. aegyptiaca and M. oleifera extracts showed cysticidal activity in experimentally infected mice. A decrease in the numbers of cysticerci was found in all treated mice groups, and up to 88% reduction was achieved in the B. aegyptiaca-treated group;higher than that was recorded in both M. oleifera (72.23%) and albendazole-treated ones (80.56%). Postmortem findings proved that M. oleifera and B. aegyptiaca reduced cysticerci numbers comparable to a commercial anthelmintic. The study showed a significant decrease (P 0.001) in TNF-α levels after treatment with Balanites and Moringa extracts, compared with the untreated control and the albendazole-treated groups.

Entrepreneurship has gained widespread attention in the 21st century.This study aims to examine the direct effect of self-perceived creativity on e-entrepreneurship intention and the moderating effect of social media use on the relationship between self-perceived creativity and e-entrepreneurship intention.Data were gathered from 248 Omani entrepreneurs.The findings revealed that the direct effect of self-perceived creativity and social media use significantly influences e-entrepreneurship intention.Notably,the positive impact of self-perceived creativity on e-entrepreneurship intention was moderated by social media use.This study concluded that self-perceived creativity is a crucial factor at the start of the entrepreneurial process,as it contributes to designing new products and services.In addition,this study introduced social media use as a boundary condition on the relationship between self-perceived creativity and e-entrepreneurial intention.Therefore,this study differs from other studies,as it examines whether social media improves opportunities for entrepreneurs and works fordiscovering and generating opportunities.

This study aims to reveal the key drivers that influence young individuals to participate in e-entrepreneurship,an increasingly important aspect of economic growth and innovation.Through a survey of 305 Omani entrepreneurs,this research found that entrepreneurship role models,opportunity evaluation decisions,and entrepreneurship education were positively related to the intention to pursue e-entrepreneurship.Moreover,self-perceived creativity was found to significantly enhance the relationships among entrepreneurship role models,entrepreneurship education,and e-entrepreneurship intention.The results of this study offer valuable insights for policymakers in Oman as they highlight the crucial role that entrepreneurship role models,opportunity evaluation decisions,entrepreneurship education,and self-perceived creativity play in shaping young individuals'attitudes toward e-entrepreneurship.This study makes important theoretical and practical contributions and provides a roadmap for policymakers seeking to promote entrepreneurship and support the growth of new business ventures.
