Here,we introduce the first experimental proof of coherent oscillation and coupling of photoswitchable molecules embedded randomly in a polymeric matrix and acting cooperatively upon illumination with UV *** particular,we demonstrate the specular reflection and Brewster phenomenon alteration of photochromic molecular dipole *** successfully demonstrate the concept of Brewster wavelength,which is based on the dipolar interaction between radiating dipoles and the surrounding matrix possessing a net dipole moment,as a key tool for highly localized sensing of matrix *** also introduce the concept of‘tailored molecular photonic coupling’while highlighting the role of interferences for the design of optically active media by adjusting the photonic response of the medium with the real and imaginary refractive index of photoswitchable molecules in the‘ON’*** results enhance our fundamental understanding of coherent dipole radiation and open a new vein of research based on glassy disordered dipolar composites that act as macroscopic antenna with cooperative action;furthermore,these results have important implications for new design rules of tailored photonics.

Impact of climate change on water resources in the Yarmouk River Basin of Jordan

Understanding the impact of climate change on water resources is important for developing regional adaptive water management strategies. This study investigated the impact of climate change on water resources in the Yarmouk River Basin(YRB) of Jordan by analyzing the historical trends and future projections of temperature, precipitation, and streamflow. Simple linear regression was used to analyze temperature and precipitation trends from 1989 to 2017 at Irbid, Mafraq, and Samar stations. The Statistical Downscaling Model(SDSM) was applied to predict changes in temperature and precipitation from 2018 to 2100 under three Representative Concentration Pathway(RCP) scenarios(i.e., RCP2.6, RCP4.5, and RCP8.5), and the Soil and Water Assessment Tool(SWAT) was utilized to estimate their potential impact on streamflow at Addasiyia station. Analysis of data from 1989 to 2017 revealed that mean maximum and minimum temperatures increased at all stations, with average rises of 1.62℃ and 1.39℃, respectively. The precipitation trends varied across all stations, showing a significant increase at Mafraq station, an insignificant increase at Irbid station, and an insignificant decrease at Samar station. Historical analysis of streamflow data revealed a decreasing trend with a slope of –0.168. Significant increases in both mean minimum and mean maximum temperatures across all stations suggested that evaporation is the dominant process within the basin, leading to reduced streamflow. Under the RCP scenarios, projections indicated that mean maximum temperatures will increase by 0.32℃ to 1.52℃, while precipitation will decrease by 8.5% to 43.0% throughout the 21st century. Future streamflow projections indicated reductions in streamflow ranging from 8.7% to 84.8% over the same period. The mathematical model results showed a 39.4% reduction in streamflow by 2050, nearly double the SWAT model's estimate under RCP8.5 scenario. Objectives:To determine the incidence of resistance of Streptococcus(Strep).pneumoniae isolated in our locality to erythromycin,to screen for the two resistance determinants erm(B) and mef(A) genes,and to identify the susceptibility profile to commonly used ***:Samples were collected from patients attending the Outpatient Department of Zagazig University Hospital,Zagazig,Egypt,between February 2006 and March *** was identified by conventional *** to erythromycin and 15 antibiotics were identified by disc diffusion method,as outlined by CLSI.E-test was used for MIC determination of ***(B) and mef(A) genes were detected by ***:Eighty-one Strep. pneumoniae strains were ***- one of them(63%) were erythromycin-resistant,and mef(A) gene was the predominant resistance ***,imipenem and gatifloxacin had the best activity against the isolates,whereas tetracycline had the ***-two(51.85%) out of the 81 *** strains were ***:High incidence of resistance to erythromycin and multiple antimicrobials ***(A) was the principal erythromycin-resistance gene.

Feature selection(FS)plays a crucial role in pre-processing machine learning datasets,as it eliminates redundant features to improve classification accuracy and reduce computational *** paper presents an enhanced approach to FS for software fault prediction,specifically by enhancing the binary dwarf mongoose optimization(BDMO)algorithm with a crossover mechanism and a modified positioning updating *** proposed approach,termed iBDMOcr,aims to fortify exploration capability,promote population diversity,and lastly improve the wrapper-based FS process for software fault prediction *** gained superb performance compared to other well-esteemed optimization methods across 17 benchmark *** ranked first in 11 out of 17 datasets in terms of average classification ***,iBDMOcr outperformed other methods in terms of average fitness values and number of selected features across all *** findings demonstrate the effectiveness of iBDMOcr in addressing FS problems in software fault prediction,leading to more accurate and efficient models.

The energy market in Libya is expected to face substantial changes in the next few years:electrical energy consumption will increase by 50% within the next 4 ***,there is a plan to gradually increase renewable energy sources in the power network by 2030 to 30%.Solar photovoltaic(PV)plants will play a significant role in the energy transition and the mix of energy sources in *** article is a study conducted to investigate the challenges of power-flow management and power protection from integrating PV power plants into the Libyan power *** particular,a simulation model is built for the Kufra PV power plant(10 MW)with eight buses to assess the power network performance in terms of power quality such as voltage profile,power losses and ***,the impact of the PV plant on the short-circuit level and the power-protection system is presented under different operating *** fault ride-through(FRT)is operated using standard ambient temperature and a wide range of irradiation intensity,and is verified by using the Libyan grid *** results show that the integration of the PV plant into the grid has a significant impact on the short-circuit level and the FRT over the different fault levels and locations on the *** initial period of the three-phase fault shows that the PV plant will be disconnected from the grid due to a decrease in the root mean square value voltages where the reactive and active power of the grid reach 938 MVAR and 261 MW,*** results show that increasing the fault level will lead to an increase in injecting the active *** work is considered the first extensive investigation into the challenges of modern power-flow management and power protection for the power network system in Libya.

Project portfolio management is a major challenge for some *** most organizations,there are a large number of projects active at the same time,some not necessarily delivering value or not aligned with their strategic *** universities face a lot of uncertainties when selecting and prioritizing the projects that make up their *** addition,the achievement of those who are aligned with the strategy of the university becomes a great *** to ensure good project portfolio management,the implementation of selection and prioritization methods and processes becomes *** the project portfolio management to be effective,it is necessary to establish a structured method adapted to the needs and strategy of the *** this context,this paper proposes a method for selecting and prioritizing projects within the framework of the portfolio management dedicated to universities,which can promote harmony between the university’s strategy,the needs and the priority objectives for enable better *** method is based on the processes of the COBIT 5 good practice framework,and on the multi-criteria decision-making methods AHP,TOPSIS and the WSM technique,thus,it proposes seven project selection criteria based on the five axes IT governance strategies and two catalysts derived from COBIT 5 *** evaluation and validation of this method was applied in the portfolio management of the Abdelmalek Essaadi Moroccan University(AUE).The result shows that this proposed method has made it possible to make a better selection and prioritization of the portfolio of projects of Abdelmleek Essaadi University having the most value.
