Abstract This work focuses on studying the effect of welding heat input within the range from 1 to 5 kj/mm on the microstructure and the corresponding mechanical and corrosion properties of dissimilar joint between superaustenitic stainless steel （UNS S31254） and Incoloy 28 （UNS N08028）. The two materials were butt-welded with ER NiCrMo3. The metallurgical changes associated with welding of SASS and Incoloy 28 were studied using optical microscope, SEM, and EDX. The mechanical and corrosion properties were investigated using tensile test, Vickers hardness test, and pitting and crevice corrosion tests. The weld metal microstructure showed precipitates with needle-like shape at 3 and 5 kj/mm. Also, the microstructure showed unmixed zone （UMZ） at the fusion line of both SASS and Incoloy 28 sides at all the investigated heat inputs. The Mo microsegregation within UMZ at Incoloy 28 side increased as the heat input increased from 1 to 5 k j/ram but that in SASS increased with increasing heat input from 1 to 3 kj/mm and then decreased with increasing from 3 to 5 kj/mm. The ultimate tensile strengths for all specimens at all the investigated heat inputs are acceptable. The average hardness noticeably changed in weld metal as the heat input increased from 1 to 5 kj/mm. Other zones such as HAZ or UMZ did not demonstrate marked changes in the average hardness. The pitting and crevice corrosion rates of the weld joint were found significant at l and 3 kj/mm but insignificant at 5 kj/mm according to ASTM G48.

BACKGROUND:Aneurysm of the cystic artery is no common,and it is a rare cause of *** o reported cases are pseudoaneurysms resulting from eithe an inflammatory process in the abdomen or abdomina trauma. METHOD:We report a healthy individual who developed hemobilia and acute pancreatitis associated with cysti artery aneurysm. RESULT:The patient was managed with angio-embolization with an uneventful post-embolization course. CONCLUSIONS:Visceral artery aneurysms are rare and can rupture with potentially grave outcome due to excessive *** embolization as a common method of treatment for visceral artery aneurysms was used in ou patient with good outcome.

Applications of in-situ and ex-situ spectroscopic ellipsometry （SE） are presented for the development of parametric expressions that define the real and imaginary parts （ε1, ε2） of the complex dielectric function spectra of thin film solar cell components. These spectra can then be utilized to analyze the structure of complete thin film solar cells. Optical and structural/compositional models of complete solar cells developed through least squares regression analysis of the SE data acquired for the complete cells enable simulations of external quantum efficiency （EQE） without the need for variable parameters. Such simulations can be compared directly with EQE measurements. From these comparisons, it becomes possible to understand in detail the origins of optical and electronic gains and losses in thin film photovoltaics （PC） technologies and, as a result, the underlying performance limitations. In fact, optical losses that occur when above-bandgap photons are not absorbed in the active layers can be distinguished from electronic losses when electron-hole pairs generated in the active layers are not collected. This overall methodology has been applied to copper indium-gallium diselenide （Culn1-xGaxSe2; CIGS） solar cells, a key commercialized thin film PV technology. CIGS solar cells with both standard thickness （〉2 μm） and thin （〈1 μm） absorber layers are studied by applying SE to obtain inputs for EQE simulations and enabling comparisons of simulated and measured EQE spectra. SE data analysis is challenging for CIGS material components and solar cells because of the need to develop an appropriate （ε1, ε2） database for the CIGS alloys and to extract absorber layer Ga profiles for accurate structural/compositional models. For cells with standard thickness absorbers, excellent agreement is found between the simulated and measured EQE, the latter under the assumption of 100% collection from the active layers, which include the CIGS bulk and CIGS/CdS heterojunction inter

Colorectal cancer(CRC) is a devastating disease, mainly because of metastasis. As a result, there is a need to better understand the molecular basis of invasion and metastasis and to identify new biomarkers and therapeutic targets to aid in managing these tumors. The actin cytoskeleton and actin-binding proteins are known to play an important role in the process of cancer metastasis because they control and execute essential steps in cell motility and contractility as well as cell division. Caldesmon(CaD) is an actin-binding protein encoded by the CALD1 gene as multiple transcripts that mainly encode two protein isoforms: High-molecular-weight CaD, expressed in smooth muscle, and low-molecular weight CaD(l-CaD), expressed in nonsmooth muscle cells. According to our comprehensive review of the literature, CaD, particularly l-CaD, plays a key role in the development, metastasis, and resistance to chemoradiotherapy in colorectal, breast, and urinary bladder cancers and gliomas, among other malignancies. CaD is involved in many aspects of the carcinogenic hallmarks, including epithelial mesenchymal transition via transforming growth factor-beta signaling, angiogenesis, resistance to hormonal therapy, and immune evasion. Recent data show that CaD is expressed in tumor cells as well as in stromal cells, such as cancerassociated fibroblasts, where it modulates the tumor microenvironment to favor the tumor. Interestingly, CaD undergoes selective tumor-specific splicing, and the resulting isoforms are generally not expressed in normal tissues, making these transcripts ideal targets for drug design. In this review, we will analyze these features of CaD with a focus on CRC and show how the currently available data qualify CaD as a potential candidate for targeted therapy in addition to its role in the diagnosis and prognosis of cancer.

Objective:To explore the traditional use of juniperus phoenicea L.(***)growing in Egypt as antidiabetic ***:The antihyperglycemic activities of the crude 80%ethanol and successive extracts of leaves and fruits of the plant were investigated in alloxan-induced diabetic rats after collecting blood samples through retro-orbital puncture *** a consequence of the biological results,phytochemical investigation of the chloroform fraction of fruits was carried out by column chromatography and thin layer ***:Results revealed the reduction in blood glucose levels in rats,which were significantly different from control at 4 and 8 weeks(P<0.01).The highest antihyperglycemic activity was exhibited by the crude extracts of fruits and leaves of which the potency was 83.6%and 81.9%,respectively,after 8 weeks,comparing to metformin drug(100%potency).Chloroform fractions of leaves and fruits were the most potent fractions(potencies were 70.3%,71.4%),respectively,along with ethyl acetate fraction of fruits(71.4%).Phytochemical investigating of the chloroform fraction of fruits resulted in the isolation and identification of 5 abietane ***,7-dehydroabietanone,sugiol,6-α-hydroxy-7-oxoferruginol,totarolone and a labdane diterpenoid,varodiol were isolated for the first time from the fruits of *** growing in *** identification of these compounds was based on spectroscopic analysis:1hydrogen-nuclear magnetic resonance and electron impact mass spectrometry,comparing the results with the ***:It has become clear that leaves and fruits of the Egyptian *** provide effective antihyperglycemic action in diabetic rats as was reported in folk *** high contents of terpenoids in the non-polar fractions may attribute to the antidiabetic effect of the plant.

Effects of AG1 and AG2 QTLs on Nonstructural Carbohydrate and Seed Management Options for Rice Seedling Growth and Establishment under Flooding Stress

Rice(Oryza sativa)plants acquired excess photosynthates in the form of nonstructural carbohydrates(NSCs)in their stems and *** keen interest in rice NSC,the dynamics of NSC accumulation,translocation and re-accumulation have not yet been well ***1 and AG2 QTLs associated with flooding tolerance through catalyzing starch into soluble sugar in germinating *** we conducted three experiments,greenhouse and field to lay the groundwork for large-scale diversity studies on grain NSC and some agronomic traits under direct-seeded rice(DSR)system,using elite lines incorporating AG1,AG2 and AG1-AG2 QTLs into the popular varieties PSB Rc82 and Ciherang-Sub1 along with the donors Kho Hlan On(AG1)and Ma-Zhan Red(AG2).In germinating seedlings,soluble sugars increased,while starch concentration decreased gradually especially in the tolerant checks and AG1-AG2 introgression lines under flooded *** sugar accumulation in stem started to increase from the vegetative stage and peaked at the panicle initiation stage then gradually decreased towards the maturity *** Sub1-AG lines had higher sugar and starch concentrations at different growth stages than other genotypes in wet season 2016 and dry season *** survival rate was positively correlated with the stem NSC at the early vegetative stage(21 days after sowing),and stem NSC was positively associated with plant height at different growth *** the tested seeding rate,the most suitable seeding rate,4 g/m2 with shallow burial depth(0.5 cm),resulted in better seedling establishment,relatively higher seedling vigor index and higher leaf area index under flooding in DSR *** of AG1-AG2 QTLs had no any negative impact on nonstructural carbohydrate,germination rate,and growth and biomass production.

This is a multidimensional review of mangrove fungi occurring as saprobes,pathogens and endophytes of a wide range of host substrates and those isolated from the water columns and sediments in ***-hundred and fifty taxa including 658 that are supported by both morphology and molecular data and 192 with only morphological data are *** constitute Ascomycota,the dominant group with 773 species,and 58 Basidiomycota,one Blastocladiomycota,five Chytridiomycota,and 13 *** study also includes data on mangrove yeasts 103 Ascomycota,39 Basidi-omycota and 193 taxa isolated from *** isolated from submerged parts of mangrove plants total *** most specious orders of mangrove fungi are Pleosporales 133,Saccharomycetales 102,Microascales 101,Eurotiales 87,Hypocreales 60 and Xylariales *** genera include Candida 39,Aspergillus 53,Penicillium 17 and Corollospora *** highest number of mangrove fungi have been recorded from the Pacific Ocean 553,which is the largest ocean,followed by Indian 408 and Atlantic Oceans *** distribution of mangrove fungi varied from ocean to ocean with only 109 taxa common to the Atlantic,Indian and Pacific *** the various countries reported for mangrove fungi,India accommodates the highest number(339)followed by Thailand 303,Malaysia 171,Florida Everglades,USA 134 and Brunei 134.A total of 60 different mangrove plants and their associates have been surveyed for mangrove *** results are discussed and compared with previous studies.
