Comprehensive evaluation and sensitivity analysis of regeneration energy for acid gas removal plant using single and activated-methyl diethanolamine solvents

The absorption of acid gas using reactive amines is among the most widely used types of capturing ***,the absorption process requires intensive energy expenditure majorly in the solvent regeneration *** study simultaneously evaluated the regeneration energy of MDEA and PZ/MDEA solvents in terms of heat of absorption,sensible heat,and vaporization *** Hysys version 8.8 simulation tool is applied to model the full acid gas removal plant for the chemical absorption *** new energy balance technique presents around the absorption and desorption columns to bring a new perspective of energy distribution in the capturing of acid gas *** analysis of regeneration energy and its three contributors is performed at several operation parameters such as absorber and stripper pressures,lean amine circulation rate,solvent concentration,reflux ratio,and CO2 and H2 S *** results show that the heat of absorption of PZ/MDEA system is higher than that for MDEA system for the same operating *** sensible heat is the main contributor in the required regeneration energy of MDEA solvent *** simulation results have been validated against data taken from real plant and *** product specifications of our simulation corroborate with real plant data in an excellent approach;additionally,the profile temperature of the absorber and the stripper columns are in good agreement with *** overall results highlight the direction of the effects of each parameter on the heat of absorption,sensible heat,and vaporization heat.

Negative regulation of receptor tyrosine kinases: unexpected links to c-Cbl and receptorubiquitylation

Intracellular signals mediated by the family of receptor tyrosine kinases play pivotal roles in morphogenesis, cell fate determination and pathogenesis. Precise control of signal amplitude and duration is critical for the fidelity and robustness of these processes. Activation of receptor tyrosine kinases by their cognate growth factors not only leads to propagation of the signal through various biochemical cascades, but also sets in motion multiple attenuation mechanisms that ulti- mately terminate the active state. Early attenuators pre-exist prior to receptor activation and they act to limit signal propagation. Subsequently, late attenuators, such as Lrig and Sprouty, are transcriptionally induced and further act to dampen the signal. Central to the process of signaling attenuation is the role of the E3 ubiquitin ligase c-Cbl. While Cbl- mediated processes of receptor ubiquitylation and endocytosis are relatively well understood, the links of Cbl to other negative regulators are just now beginning to be appreciated. Here we review some emerging interfaces between Cbl and the transcriptionally induced negative regulators Lrig and Sprouty.

An optimized approach for estimating benzene in ambient air within an air quality monitoring network

Benzene is a carcinogenic air pollutant for which European legislation has set an annual limit and criteria for the number of fixed monitoring sites within air quality networks(AQMN).However,due to the limited number of fixed sites for benzene measurement,exposure data are *** the relationship between benzene levels and other variables monitored within an AQMN,such as NO_(2),O_(3),temperature,solar radiation,and accumulated precipitation,this study proposes an approach for estimating benzene air concentrations from the related *** the data of the aforementioned variables from23 fixed stations during 2016-2017,the proposed approach was able to forecast benzene concentration for 2018 with high confidence,providing enriched data on benzene exposure and its ***,the spatial distribution of the estimated versus the most representative benzene levels was quite ***,an artificial neural network identified the most representative fixed benzene monitoring sites within the AQMN.

Extraction equilibria and kinetics of Ti(Ⅳ)from leached chloride liquors of ilmenite

Extraction of titanium（Ⅳ）from real chloride leach liquor of ilmenite was carried out with 0.1 mol L^（-1）di-（2-ethylhexyl）phosphoric acid（HDEHP）in *** and kinetics studies for Ti（Ⅳ）were carried out in the presence of impurities that were leached with Ti（Ⅳ）.Parameters affecting extraction rate of Ti（Ⅳ）from chloride media in the presence of Fe（Ⅲ）,Mg（Ⅱ）,and Al（Ⅲ）were studied to evaluate the stoichiometry of extracted Ti（Ⅳ）*** is found that the extraction rate of Ti（Ⅳ）is dependent on the extractant concentration and pH of *** the optimum conditions,more than 95%Ti（Ⅳ）can be *** the basis of slope analysis method,the extracted species of Ti（Ⅳ）appears to be[TiO（H_2A_2）_2]_（org）,where H_2A_2 refers to ***,the kinetic studies of the extraction process of Ti（Ⅳ）and other metal ion impurities were carried out by a Lewis cell with a constant interfacial area of 16.7 cm^*** of the experimental results suggests that TiO^（2＋）extraction rate by HDEHP is the first with respect to hydrogen ion concentration and HDEHP *** results are interpreted by a reaction mechanism where the extraction process is controlled by a diffusion process at the interface rather than in the bulk phase.

Biochemical Liver Functions and Molecular Identification of Fasciola hepatica from Experimentally Infected Rat Model

The current study was performed to evaluate the liver function status as well as molecular characterization of the recovered worms in rats experimentally infected with F. hepatica. Sixteen male Wister rats aged 30 days were randomly allocated into two groups (n = 8). The first group was infected orally with 15 viable encysted metacercaria of F. hepatica per animal. The other group was kept non-infected (control group). At zero time (before infection), the 2nd, 4th, 6th, 8th, 10th, 12th and 14th weeks post-infection (WPI), blood and serum samples were collected via puncture of retro-orbital plexus of veins from each rat. Serum enzyme level (AST and ALT) and total protein were measured, and the serum protein profile was carried out using agarose gel electrophoresis. During the period of the experiment, serum ALT and AST activities and serum total globulins significantly increased while serum total proteins and albumin markedly decreased in the infected group. On the 14th WPI, the data of the electropherogram showed that globulin fractions (α1-, β- and γ-globulin) levels were significantly increased while α2-globulin was markedly decreased in the infected group. The molecular analysis confirmed the amplification of the ITS1, ITS2 and NDI genes of F. hepatica recovered from the infected liver of rats with amplicon sizes of 630, 510 and 560 bp, respectively. Sequencing of the amplified ITS gene resulted in the determination of 3 strains (PP108836, PP108837, and PP108838). Also, analysis of the ITS2 gene resulted in obtaining 3 isolates under the accession numbers (PP109065, PP109066, and PP109067). In conclusion, fasciolosis in the rat model is suitable for routine experimental infections and caused a pronounced liver dysfunction with discharging of the Fasciola eggs in the faeces and the development of adult stages in the bile ducts. Congruence Pairs of Decomposable MS-Algebras

In this paper,the authors first introduce the concept of congruence pairs on the class of decomposable MS-algebras generalizing that for principal MS-algebras(see[13]).They show that every congruence relationθon a decomposable MS-algebra L can be uniquely determined by a congruence pair(θ_(1),θ_(2)),whereθ_(1)is a congruence on the de Morgan subalgebra L^(∞)of L andθ_(2)is a lattice congruence on the sublattice D(L)of *** obtain certain congruence pairs of a decomposable MS-algebra L via central elements of ***,they characterize the permutability of congruences and the strong extensions of decomposable MS-algebras in terms of congruence pairs.

CONFORMAL AND GENERALIZED CONCIRCULAR MAPPINGS OF EINSTEIN-WEYL MANIFOLDS

In this article, after giving a necessary and sufficient condition for two Einstein- Weyl manifolds to be in conformal correspondence, we prove that any conformal mapping between such manifolds is generalized concircular if and only if the covector field of the conformal mapping is locally a gradient. Using this fact we deduce that any conformal mapping between two isotropic Weyl manifolds is a generalized concircular mapping. Moreover, it is shown that a generalized concircularly flat Weyl manifold is generalized concircular to an Einstein manifold and that its scalar curvature is prolonged covariant constant.

Comparison of bacterial community structures in two systems of a sewage treatment plant using PCR-DGGE analysis

The combination of PCR amplification of 16S rRNA genes with denaturing gradient gel electrophoresis （DGGE） analysis was used to reveal the compositions and dynamics of bacterial communities in a sewage treatment plant with two systems, i.e., an anoxic- anaerobic-aerobic system （inverted A2O） and an anaerobic-anoxic-aerobic one （conventional A2O） over a period from February to July 2009, during which both systems experienced serious sludge bulking problems. The DGGE patterns showed that there were many common bands in both systems, suggesting the high similarity of bacterial communities of the two systems. Meanwhile, the moving window correlation analysis showed that the two systems experienced different microbial community structure changes during the period, which might be related with the different situations of the occurrence and disappearance of sludge bulking, as being reflected by sludge volume index （SVI） values. Major bands of DGGE patterns of sludge samples were further sequenced. Phylogenetic affiliation indicated that the majority of the sequences obtained were affiliated with Actinobacteria, Firmicutes, Bacteroidetes/Chlorobi group and α- and β-Proteobacteria. Two sequences showed high similarities to typical filamentous bacteria Microthrix parvicella and Nostocoida limicola I, indicating that these bacterial species have been involved in the sludge bulking problems.
