In this paper,a comparative study on the photocatalytic degradation of the Rhodamine B(Rh B)dye as a model compound using N–Fe codoped Ti O2 nanorods under UV and visible-light(λ≥420 nm)irradiations has been *** O2 photocatalysts were fabricated as aligned nanorod arrays by liquid-phase deposition process,annealed at different temperatures from 400 to 800℃.The effects of annealing temperature on the phase structure,crystallinity,BET surface area,and resulting photocatalytic activity of N–Fe codoped Ti O2 nanorods were also *** degradation studies confirmed that the nanorods annealed at 600℃composed of both anatase(79%)and rutile phases(21%)and offered the highest activity and stability among the series of nanorods,as it degraded 94.8%and 87.2%Rh B in 120 min irradiation under UV and visible-light,*** 600℃,the photocatalytic performance of nanorods decreased owning to a phase change,decreased surface area and bandgap,and growth of Ti O2 crystallites induced by the annealing *** is hoped that this work could provide precious information on the design of 1 D catalyst materials with more superior photodegradation properties especially under visible-light for the further industrial applications.

TiO2 nanowire arrays were successfully fabricated by liquid-phase deposition method using porous alumina templates. The obtained TiO2 nanowires were characterized using Raman spectroscopy, X-ray diffraction （XRD）, scanning electron microscopy （SEM）, field emission scanning electron microscopy （FE- SEM）, transmission electron microscopy （TEM）, and selected area electron diffraction （SAED） analysis. Results of electron microscopic observations indicated that the nanowires were smooth and uniform with a diameter of about 50-80 nm and several micrometers in length. SAED, Raman, and XRD mea- surements showed that TiO2 nanowires were single-crystalline with a pure rutile structure after heating at 800 ~C for 10 h. In this situation, the nanowire constituents grew preferentially along the 〈001〉 direction. Furthermore, the formation process and mechanistic study of the Ti02 nanowire arrays were proposed and discussed in detail. The nanowires are clearly produced by the deposition of TiO2 particles on the inner wall of the template nanochannels.

In this work, TiO2 nanorods with uniform diameter of about 100 nm and a length of several micrometers were successfully prepared by the sol-gel template method. Also the influence of molar ratios of precursor on the morphology and structure of TiO2 nanorods has been investigated. The prepared samples were characterized by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy （FTIR）, X-ray diffraction （XRD） and scanning electron microscopy （SEM）. The XRD results indicated that the TiO2 nanorods were crystallized in the anatase and rutile phases, after annealing to 400-700℃ up to 2 h.

Visible light-driven valorization of biomass has recently been a pioneering field for nitrogen-containing heterocyclics syntheses due to its sustainable ***,various aromatic ring-doped g-C_(3)N_(4) nanosheets(Ar-g-C_(3)N_(4);Ar=Py,Pm,Ph)were precisely designed to modulate their intrinsic electronic and band structure,which involves pyridine(Py),pyrimidine(Pm),and benzene(Ph)-doped g-C_(3)N_(4).Photocatalysts(CoPc/Ar-g-C_(3)N_(4)) of cobalt(II)phthalocyanine(CoPc)-fabricated Ar-g-C_(3)N_(4) were then developed for oxidative cyclization of furoin with 1,2-phenylenediamines for syntheses of various biomass-derived quinoxalines under visible-light *** catalytic activity(in terms of TOFs)of serial CoPc/Ar-g-C_(3)N_(4) samples increased with their transient photocurrents with CoPc/Py-g-C_(3)N_(4) as the most active *** CoPc/Py-g-C_(3)N_(4),CoPc species functioned as both sensitizer and catalytic sites;while,doped Py led to a narrowed bandgap *** research further demonstrated that O_(2) was activated to superoxide radical(·O_(2)^(-)) by photoexcited high-level-energy electron(HLEE)transfer from Py-g-C_(3)N_(4) to CoPc for the subsequent aerobic oxidation.

The effects of operating parameters on oxidative coupling of methane （OCM） over Na-W-Mn/SiO2 catalyst have been studied at elevated pressures of 0.2, 0.3 and 0.4 MPa under low gaseous hourly space velocity （GHSV） and low temperature conditions. Experimental results show that when the operating pressure is increased, C2＋ yield slightly decreases, while the maximum ratio of ethylene to ethane remains unchanged. Moreover, it has been found empirically that increase of pressure does not affect the catalyst behavior permanently, the catalyst recovers its original low pressure performance without hysteresis behavior by reducing the pressure. Under the investigated conditions, when oxygen is completely consumed, the increase of GHSV leads to improvement in C2 selectivity, while C3＋ and COx selectivities decrease slightly. The C2＋ selectivity increases by increase of nitrogen diluent in the feed, but the C3＋ hydrocarbons selectivities decrease with increase of nitrogen since it is possible that further dilution at high pressure may reduce the probability of collision between CH3 and C2＋ hydrocarbons. During the stability test at high pressure, the catalyst performance remains unchanged throughout the 20 h running. The fresh and used catalysts were characterized using XRD, SEM and N2 adsorption-desorption methods. It was found that the phase transformation of the support from α-cristobalite to tridymite and quartz does not have obvious effect on catalyst performance at high pressure.

In the present work, the entropy and internal energy of a GaAs cylindrical quantum dot in the presence of an applied magnetic field is studied. For this purpose, the Tsallis formalism is applied to obtain internal energy and entropy. It is found that entropy and internal energy are continuous function and they are zero at special temperatures. Entropy maximum increases with increasing dot radius. Internal energy increases by increasing magnetic field.

Field evaluation of durum wheat landraces for prevailing abiotic and biotic stresses in highland rainfed regions of Iran

Biotic and abiotic stresses are major limiting factors for high crop productivity worldwide. A landrace collection consisting of 380 durum wheat(Triticum turgidum L. var. durum) entries originating in several countries along with four check varieties were evaluated for biotic stresses:yellow rust(Puccinia striiformis Westendorf f. sp. tritici) and wheat stem sawfly(WSS) Cephus cinctus Norton(Hymenoptera: Cephidae), and abiotic stresses: cold and drought. The main objectives were to(i) quantify phenotypic diversity and identify variation in the durum wheat landraces for the different stresses and(ii) characterize the agronomic profiles of landraces in reaction to the stresses. Significant changes in reactions of landraces to stresses were *** resistant to each stress were identified and agronomically *** reduction due to the stresses varied from 11.4%(yellow rust) to 21.6%(cold stress) for 1000-kernel weight(TKW) and from 19.9(yellow rust) to 91.9%(cold stress) for grain yield. Landraces from Asia and Europe showed enhanced genetic potential for both grain yield and cold tolerance under highland rainfed conditions of Iran. The findings showed that TKW and yield productivity could be used to assess the response of durum wheat landraces to different stresses. In conclusion, landraces showed high levels of resistance to both biotic and abiotic stresses, and selected landraces can serve in durum wheat breeding for adaptation to cold and drought-prone environments.
