Serum Vitamin D Levels and Severity of Liver Dysfunction in Cirrhotic Patients

Background and objective: Cirrhosis affects hundreds of millions of patients all around the world. Vitamin D deficiency is frequently observed in chronic hepatic disease. Vitamin D level may be an important survival marker in advanced liver cirrhosis. Material and Methods: The study is a sectional one of the descriptive-analytical type, where 90 of the patients with hepatic cirrhoses were selected with census sampling method. In all the cirrhotic patients, for diagnosis in clinical findings, the serological marker, autoantibodies were stable;biochemical endoscopy and imaging were the histological evidence and examinations and were then analyzed by SPSS version 22 software. Results: Based on the study, from the aspect of Child-Pugh classification, the highest vitamin D levels had the highest value in Child-Pugh class A with a frequency of 13 (43%) in the form of insufficiency, and had the highest value in Child-Pugh class B and C in the form of slight deficiency. Conclusion: It was specified based on the results obtained from the research that different vitamin D levels and liver failure severity have a significant relationship with each other (p < 0.05) in patients suffering from hepatic cirrhosis, such that the serum vitamin D level decreases as liver failure severity increases.

Background:Numerous studies have demonstrated the existence of approximately 7,500 genetic tomato varieties ***,it is crucial to assess the genetic diversity among tomato *** study aimed to investigate the genetic diversity of selected Iranian tomato cultivars(Solanum lycopersicum)using RAPD and ISSR molecular ***:Ten RAPD primers and ten ISSR primers were employed to assess the genetic diversity among 10 tomato cultivars:Matin,RFT 112,Hirad,Golsar,Raha,Hengam,Hedah,Fasa,JS12,and *** analysis involved the UPGMA algorithm and NTYSYSpc ***:RAPD analysis revealed close genetic proximity between Fasa and JS12,as well as between Raha and ***,the RFT 112,Hengam,Hirad,and Emerald cultivars exhibited significant genetic diversity within this *** primer analysis identified Hengam as the most diverse variety,while Matin,Emerald,and Vibrid,as well as Raha and JS12,displayed genetic similarities with minimal observed ***,the overall analysis of the cultivars using RAPD and ISSR markers indicated that Hengam exhibited the highest diversity among all the ***,Raha and JS12 demonstrated limited diversity in this ***:This research demonstrates substantial genetic diversity among the investigated tomato varieties,with Hengam displaying the highest diversity within this ***,ISSR markers proved more effective in determining genetic diversity in tomato plants.

Effect of Aqueous-Alcoholic Extract of Ducrosia Anethifolia Boiss on the Fetal Liver of Diabetic Rats

Over the past years,many efforts have been accomplished to achieve fast and accurate meta-heuristic algorithms to optimize a variety of real-world *** study presents a new optimization method based on an unusual geological phenomenon in nature,named Geyser inspired Algorithm(GEA).The mathematical modeling of this geological phenomenon is carried out to have a better understanding of the optimization *** efficiency and accuracy of GEA are verified using statistical examination and convergence rate comparison on numerous CEC 2005,CEC 2014,CEC 2017,and real-parameter benchmark ***,GEA has been applied to several real-parameter engineering optimization problems to evaluate its *** addition,to demonstrate the applicability and robustness of GEA,a comprehensive investigation is performed for a fair comparison with other standard optimization *** results demonstrate that GEA is noticeably prosperous in reaching the optimal solutions with a high convergence rate in comparison with other well-known nature-inspired algorithms,including ABC,BBO,PSO,and *** that the source code of the GEA is publicly available at https://***/projects/gea.

The mafic-ultramafic intrusion in the XV anomaly area,contains magmatic Fe-Ti oxides±（p） ore,is located in the Bafq mining district in the Central *** consists of cumulate and layered Fe-Ti-bearing gabbros and *** mineral assemblages include clinopyroxene,Fe-Ti oxides,plagioclase,amphibole,apatite and sulfides（pyrite and chalcopyrite）.The Fe-Ti oxides mainly consist of magnetite-titanomagnetite and ilmenite,which occurred as disseminated,intergrowth,lamellae（trellis and sandwich textures） and *** in the gabbroic rocks is from the near end-member of Fe3O4（<1 wt.%TiO2） to titanomagnetite containing up to 8 wt.%TiO2(about3.73 wt.%to 26.84 wt.%Ulvospinel(XUsp)).Magnetite in pyroxenite rocks is characterized with TiO2range from 0.46 wt.%to 3.14 wt.%(XUspvaried from 1.76 wt.%to 10.46 wt.%).The abundances of V2O3range from 0.03 wt.% to 1.29 wt.%and 0.24 wt.%to 1.00 wt.%for gabbro and pyroxenite,*** of magnetite show insignificant correlations with Al2O3and *** average XIlmin the ilmenite of gabbro is 92%,whereas it is 90.37%in the pyroxenite *** MgO and V2O3contents show a slightly positive correlation with TiO2in *** composition of clinopyroxenes in gabbro and pyroxenite rocks fall in the diopside to augite field with Mg#ranging from 67 to 98 and 74 to 96,*** both rock types,amphiboles are mainly pargasite and rarely *** in pyroxenite rocks is clustered in the labradorite to andesine fields with a compositional ranges of An46-69and in gabboic rocks fall in two fields with compositional ranges of albite with An0.65-5.95and labradorite with *** δ34S isotopic values cover a limited range from +3.15‰ to +4.10‰V-CDT consistent with magmatic ***-Ti mineralization is formed in two stages,minor inclusions of Fe-Ti oxide minerals in the pyroxene and plagioclase crystallized in the early magmatic stage,whereas interstitial oxides formed by fractional crystallizatio

Objective:Peyronie’s disease(PD)is an abnormal wound healing in the penile tunica *** fibrotic plaque excision,different graft materials have been used to repair the defects,but the optimal graft remains *** study aimed to compare the functional outcomes of testicular tunica vaginalis grafts and bovine pericardium grafts in patients with severe ***:A retrospective comparative study was conducted on 33 PD patients undergoing partial plaque excision and grafting from September 2015 to May *** patients were divided into two groups depending on the type of graft *** 15 patients in Group B,testicular tunica vaginalis grafts were used to repair the defect,while for 18 patients in Group A,bovine pericardium grafts were *** of the patient’s age,comorbidities,sexual function,penile curvature,postoperative complications,need for further treatment,change in penile length,and satisfaction were gathered and compared between the *** function was evaluated using the 5-item version of the International Index of Erectile Function(IIEF-5),and a functional less than 20-degree penile curvature after surgery was considered a successful ***:There was no difference in age,comorbidities,degree of curvature,perioperative IIEF-5,operative time,plaque size,or complication *** surgery,a statistically significant improvement in curvature degree(p<0.05)and satisfactory penile appearance(p<0.05)were seen in both groups without any superiority between the two groups(p=0.423 and p=0.840,respectively).With a 30-month follow-up,the IIEF-5 was consistent in both groups,with no statistical significance between the groups(p=0.492).The main change in penile length during the operation was increased and still positive in the last follow-up in both groups without statistical significance(p=0.255 and p=0.101,respectively).Conclusion:Partial plaque excision and corporoplasty with both testicular tunica vaginalis or bovine pericard

Incremental dynamic analysis and nonlinear static pushover analysis are carried out on a performance-based design to determine the seismic demands and capacities of an elliptic braced moment resisting frame(ELBRF).The objective is to assess ductility,overstrength and response modification factors in a modern steel-braced structural system based on incremental dynamic *** integrated system is connected to a beam and column with an appropriate length while providing enough architectural space to allow for an opening without having the common problems associated with architectural spaces in braced *** different classes of buildings are considered on soil type *** dynamic analysis,nonlinear static pushover analysis and incremental nonlinear dynamic analysis related to 12 records from past earthquakes are carried out using OpenSees *** factors of ductility,overstrength and response modification are calculated for this *** values of 9.5 and 6.5 are found and suggested only for the response modification factor for ELBRF systems in allowable stress and ultimate limit state methods,*** fragility curves are plotted for the first time for this type of bracing,which contributes to the assessment of building seismic damage.
