The adverse effects of eutrophication have prompted the use of various remediation techniques for phosphate(PO_(4)^(3-))removal owing to it being the major causative ***,the influence of different solvents and ratios of 2-aminoterepthalicacid on the efficiency of magnetic biomass metal-organic framework composites based on the in situ growth of NH_(2)-MIL-101(Fe)onto magnetized peanut husks towards PO_(4)^(3-)removal was assessed via the adsorption *** magnetic biocomposite labelled as MPN@NH2-MIL-101(Fe)exhibited the best efficiency owing to its mesoporous structures and presence of abundant oxygen and nitrogen possessing functional *** results confirmed MPN@NH2-MIL-101(Fe)to have a high adsorption capacity of(14.0±0.3)mg·L^(-1)at a PO43-concentration of 20 mg·L^(-1)with an associated high stability within pH *** adsorption kinetics for the process was well described by both Elovich and pseudo-second-order kinetic models and was mediated by both internal diffusion and liquid film *** Temkin and Freundlich models fitted the equilibrium data well signifying occurrence of both physical and chemical adsorption on a heterogeneous *** is concluded that MPN@NH2-MIL-101(Fe)is a promising adsorbent for the effective removal of phosphate from a water body.

Traditionally, testosterone and estrogen have been considered to be male and female sex hormones, respectively. However, estradiol, the predominant form of estrogen, also plays a critical role in male sexual function. Estradiol in men is essential for modulating libido, erectile function, and spermatogenesis. Estrogen receptors, as well as aromatase, the enzyme that converts testosterone to estrogen, are abundant in brain, penis, and testis, organs important for sexual function. In the brain, estradiol synthesis is increased in areas related to sexual arousal. In addition, in the penis, estrogen receptors are found throughout the corpus cavernosum with high concentration around neurovascular bundles. Low testosterone and elevated estrogen increase the incidence of erectile dysfunction independently of one another. In the testes, spermatogenesis is modulated at every level by estrogen, starting with the hypothalamus-pituitary-gonadal axis, followed by the Leydig, Sertoli, and germ cells, and finishing with the ductal epithelium, epididymis, and mature sperm. Regulation of testicular cells by estradiol shows both an inhibitory and a stimulatory influence, indicating an intricate symphony of dose-dependent and temporally sensitive modulation. Our goal in this review is to elucidate the overall contribution of estradiol to male sexual function by looking at the hormone＇s effects on erectile function, spermatogenesis, and libido.

Oscillating heat pipes(OHP)which are constructed from a serpentine-arranged capillary tube possess a desirable aerodynamic form factor and provide for relatively high heat transfer rates via cyclic evaporation and condensation of an encapsulated working fluid with no internal wicking structure *** last two decades,OHP has been extensively investigated for its potential application in thermal management of various *** study presents an experimental investigation on the heat transfer performance of an atypically long finned *** heat transfer performance of the proposed OHP was analyzed and compared with a bare tube OHP with similar overall *** show that a unit row of finned OHP filled with n-pentane with fill ratio of 70%can recover up to(400±40)W of heat from a typical waste exhaust air *** additional pressure drop due to fins was estimated to be(6.8±2)Pa resulting in an increase of 1–2 W of fan power *** average heat recovery rate via finned OHP was found to be almost 80%more than bare tube OHP filled with same working fluid with same fill ratio.

Routine exposure to inorganic nanoparticles （NPs） that are incorporated into consumer products such as foods/drinks, packaging materials, pharmaceuticals, and personal care products （e.g. cosmetics, sunscreens, shampoos） occurs on a daily basis. The standard everyday use of these products facilitates interactions between the incorporated inorganic NPs, mammalian tissues （e.g. skin, gastrointestinal tract, oral cavity）, and the community of microbes that resides on these tissues. Changes to the microbiome have been linked to the initiation/ progression of many diseases and there is a growing interest focused on understanding how inorganic NPs can initiate these changes. As these mechanisms are revealed and defined, it may be possible to rationally design microbiota- modulating therapies based on inorganic NPs. In this article, we will：（i） provide a background on inorganic NPs that are commonly found in consumer products such as those that incorporate titanium, zinc, silver, silica, or iron, （ii） discuss how NP properties, microbiota composition, and the physiological microenvironment can mediate the effects that inorganic NPs have on the microbiota, and （iii） highlight opportunities for inorganic NP therapies that are designed to interact with, and navigate, the microbiome.

4 Summary and conclusion The JOULE sounding rocket 1 experiment was carried out at Poker Flat Research Range in Alaska around 1200 UT on March 27th,2003 with two instrumented rockets and one chemical tracer *** the released TMA trails,neutral wind measurements from approximately 85 to 160 km altitude showed a vertically propagating wave and a jet structure around 120 km *** shears appeared at the bottom side of the jet with Richardson numbers close to or smaller than the critical value of 0.25,which implies the possible existence of Kelvin-Helmholtz instabilities caused by the vertical shear in the fast flows.

Tree mortality plays a fundamental role in the dynamics of forest ecosystems,yet it is one of the most difficult phenomena to accurately *** modeling strategies have been developed to improve individual tree mortality *** less explored strategy is the use of a multistage modeling *** improvements from this approach have remained largely *** this study,we developed a novel multistage approach and compared its performance in individual tree mortality predictions with a more conventional approach using an identical individual tree mortality model *** permanent plot data(n=9442)covering the Acadian Region of North America and over multiple decades(1965–2014)were used in this *** results indicated that the model behavior with the multistage approach better depicted the observed mortality and showed a notable improvement over the conventional *** difference between the observed and predicted numbers of dead trees using the multistage approach was much smaller when compared with the conventional *** addition,tree survival probabilities predicted by the multistage approach generally were not significantly different from the observations,whereas the conventional approach consistently underestimated mortality across species and overestimated tree survival probabilities over the large range of DBH in the *** new multistage approach also predictions of zero mortality in individual plots,a result not possible in conventional ***,the new approach was more tolerant of modeling errors because it based estimates on ranked tree mortality rather than error-prone predicted ***,this new multistage approach deserves to be considered and tested in future studies.

Traditional cellular networks require the downlink (DL) and uplink (UL) of mobile users (MUs) to be associated with a single base station (BS). However, the power gap between BSs and MUs in different transmission environments results in the BS with the strongest downlink differing from the BS with the strongest uplink. In addition, the significant increase in the number of wireless machine type communication (MTC) devices accessing cellular networks has created a DL/UL traffic imbalance with higher traffic volume on the uplink. In this paper,a joint user association and resource partition framework for downlink-uplink decoupling (DUDe) is developed for a tiered heterogeneous cellular network (HCN). Different from the traditional association rules such as maximal received power and range extension, a coalition game based scheme is proposed for the optimal user association with DUDe. The stability and convergence of this scheme are proven and shown to converge to a Nash equilibrium at a geometric rate. Moreover, the DL and UL optimal bandwidth partition for BSs is derived based on user association considering fairness. Extensive simulation results demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed scheme,which enhances the sum rate compared with other user association strategies.
