PURPOSe. To te.t the.safe.y and e.ficacy of acupuncture.in re.ucing hot flashe. in me. with advance. prostate.cance. (CaP) unde.going androge. de.rivation the.apy. Me.HODS: A single.arm, pilot study was unde.take. to e.aluate.acupuncture.tre.tme.t for hot flashe. e.pe.ie.ce. by CaP patie.ts unde.going hormonal the.apy. Sixte.n advance. CaP patie.ts unde.going androge. de.rivation the.apy (ADT) re.e.ve. standardize. full body and auricular acupunc-ture.1x/we.k for 14 we.ks. Patie.ts we.e.e.aluate. at 0, 7, 14, and an additional 14-wk follow-up (F/U) (28-wks). Safe.y was me.sure. by monitoring for adve.se.e.e.ts ove. the.tre.tme.t pe.iod. Se.um te.toste.one.was me.sure. at 0 and 14-wks. Quality of life.(QOL) was me.sure. by the.hormone.domain of the.e.pande. Prostate.Inde. Composite.(e.IC), at the.0, 7, 14, and 28-wks and patie.t re.orte. hot flash fre.ue.cy was asse.se. we.kly. Safe.y e.dpoints we.e.se.um te.toste.one.and analysis of adve.se.e.e.ts. e.ficacy e.dpoints we.e.score. on the.e.IC and the.numbe. of pa-tie.t re.orte. hot flashe.. Re.ULTS: 17 patie.ts we.e.e.rolle. and 15 comple.e. the.trial. Of 15 e.aluable.patie.ts the.me.ian age.was 68 ± 8.19. Se.um analysis de.onstrate. no change.in te.toste.one.at base.ine.9.5 ng/ml ± 8.9 vs. e.d-point 14 ± 8.78 (p = 0.101). No adve.se.e.e.ts we.e.re.orte.. Data analysis of the.e.IC de.onstrate. a tre.d toward improve.e.t afte. 7 wks and a significant improve.e.t following 14 wks of acupuncture.(p = 0.01). Analysis of patie.t re.orte. fre.ue.cy showe. a significant re.uction in the.numbe. of hot flashe. at 7-wk (6, p = 0.04), 14-wk (2.6, p = 0.001), and 28-wk F/U (3.2, p = 0.01) as compare. to base.ine.9.57 ± 3.98. CONCLUSIONS: The.administration of acupuncture.in me. with advance. CaP appe.rs to significantly de.re.se.the.fre.ue.cy of hot flashe.. No se.ious ad-ve.se.e.e.ts we.e.note. and se.um te.toste.one.le.e.s we.e.unchange. from base.ine.sugge.ting that the.me.hanism of action of acupuncture.for hot flash ame.iora

The.significant computational costs of calculating a sce.ario, howe.e., limit the.comple.ity of furthe. analysis. Advance. in code.optimization as we.l as the.use.of computing cluste.s still le.d to runtime. of up to e.ght hours pe. sce.ario. Howe.e. ongoing re.e.rch highlights that tailor-made.approximations are.pote.tially the.ke. factor in furthe. re.ucing computing time. Conse.ue.tly, curre.t re.e.rch aims to provide.a me.hod for the.rapid pre.iction of wide.y varying sce.arios. In this work artificial ne.ral ne.works (ANN) are.traine. and compare. to approximate.the.syste. be.avior of the.probabilistic simulation mode.. To do so, information ne.ds to be.sample. from the.probabilistic simulation in an e.ficie.t way. Be.ause.only a limite. space.in the.whole.de.ign space.of the.16 inde.e.de.t variable. is of inte.e.t, a classification is de.e.ope.. Finally it re.uire. only around 35 min to cre.te.the.re.re.sion mode.s, including sampling the.de.ign space. simulating the.training data and training the.ANNs. The.re.ulting ANNs are.able.to pre.ict all sce.arios within the.validity range.of the.re.re.sion mode. with a coe.ficie.t of de.e.mination of ove. 0.9998 for inde.e.de.t te.t data (1.051.200 data points). The. ne.d only a fe. millise.onds to pre.ict one.sce.ario, e.abling in-de.th analysis in a brie. pe.iod of time.

York City by 2033. This study focuse. on the.NOx pollution, which is the.highe.t among all major citie. by e.vironme.tal Prote.tion Age.cy (e.A) and gre.nhouse.gase. (GHG) with annual e.issions of ove. five.million tons. Our mode. pre.icts that switching to an all-e.e.tric bus fle.t will cut GHG e.issions by ove. 390,000 tons and NOx e.issions by ove. 1300 tons annually, in addition to othe. pollutants such as VOCs and PM 2.5. yie.ding an annual e.onomic be.e.it of ove. 75.94 million USD. This aligns with the.city mayor office.s initiative.of achie.ing total carbon ne.trality. We.he.e.analyze.the.dive.sity of structure.in tige. moth sounds liom 26 spe. cie. colle.te. at thre. locations in North and South Ame.ica. We.se.rche. for long pe.iod variation in V-band, It-band and RXTe.X-ray light curve. of the.High Mass X-ray Binarie. （HMXBs） LS 1698 / RX J1037.5-5647, HD 110432 / 1H 1249-637 and HD 161103 / RX J1744.7-2713 in an atte.pt to discove. orbitally induce. variation. Data we.e.obtaine. primarily from the.ASAS database.and we.e.supple.e.te. by shorte. te.m obse.vations made.with the.24- and 40-inch ANU te.e.cope. and one.of the.robotic PROMPT te.e.cope.. Fourie. pe.iodograms sugge.te. the.e.iste.ce.of long pe.iod variation in the.V-band light curve. of all thre. HMXBs, howe.e. folding the.data at those.pe.iods did not re.e.l convincing pe.iodic variation. At this point we.cannot rule.out the.e.iste.ce.of long te.m V-band variation for the.e.thre. source. and hints of longe. te.m variation may be.se.n in the.highe. pre.ision PROMPT data. Long te.m V-band obse.vations, on the.orde. of se.e.al ye.rs, take. at a fre.ue.cy of at le.st once.pe. we.k and with a pre.ision of 0.01 mag, the.e.ore.still have.a chance.of re.e.ling long te.m variation in the.e.thre. HMXBs.
