Dynamic voltage regulation and power export in a distribution system using distributed generation

The major aim of power quality(PQ) enhancing techniques is to maintain a specified voltage magnitude at a desired frequency for sensitive loads irrespective of faults on the power distribution *** dynamic voltage restorer(DVR) is a device used to mitigate voltage sags to regulate load *** paper presents a mathematical model for leading series voltage injection to mitigate sags thereby achieving the improvement of the utility power factor as well as power sharing between the DVR and *** power sharing will be as per requirement to compensate the sags considering the available distributed generation(DG).The approach of mitigating voltage sags using the concept of leading series voltage injection is suitable for those locations where phase shift in the voltage will not cause any *** MATLAB/SIMULINK SimPowerSystem toolbox has been used to obtain simulation results to verify the proposed mathematical model.

Nitrogen-doped carbon catalysts with hierarchical porous structure are promising oxygen evolution reaction(OER)catalysts due to the faster mass transfer and better charge carrying ***,an exquisite high nitrogen-containing ligand was designed and readily synthesized from the low-cost biomolecule ***,three new MOFs(TJU-103,TJU-104 and TJU-105)were prepared using the Co(II)or Mn(II)ions as metal *** rationally controlling pyrolysis condition,in virtue of the high nitrogen content in well-defined periodic structure of the pristine MOFs,TJU-104–900 among the derived MOFs with hierarchical porous structure,i.e.,N-doped graphitic carbon encapsulating homogeneously distributed cobalt nanoparticles,could be conveniently *** to the synergistic effect of the hierarchical structure and well dispersed active components(i.e.,C=O,Co–Nx,graphitic C and N,pyridinic N),it could exhibit an overpotential of 280 mV@10mA/cm^(2)on carbon cloth for OER *** work provides the inspiration for fabrication of nitrogen-doped carbon/metal electrocatalysts from cost-effective and abundant biomolecules,which is promising for practical OER application.

Sensors based Human Activity Recognition(HAR)have numerous applications in eHeath,sports,fitness assessments,ambient assisted living(AAL),human-computer interaction and many *** human physical activity can be monitored by using wearable sensors or external *** usage of external devices has disadvantages in terms of cost,hardware installation,storage,computational time and lighting conditions ***,most of the researchers used smart devices like smart phones,smart bands and watches which contain various sensors like accelerometer,gyroscope,GPS etc.,and adequate processing *** the task of recognition,human activities can be broadly categorized as basic and complex human *** of complex activities have received very less attention of researchers due to difficulty of problem by using either smart phones or smart *** reasons include lack of sensor-based labeled dataset having several complex human daily life *** of the researchers have worked on the smart phone’s inertial sensors to perform human activity recognition,whereas a few of them used both pocket and wrist *** this research,we have proposed a novel framework which is capable to recognize both basic and complex human activities using builtin-sensors of smart phone and smart *** have considered 25 physical activities,including 20 complex ones,using smart device’s built-in *** the best of our knowledge,the existing literature consider only up to 15 activities of daily life.

Calotropisprocera(Cp)is a traditional medicinal plant that has attracted significant attention for its potential anticancer *** review consolidates current research on the Cp bioactive compounds found in Cp,including cardenolides,flavonoids,and terpenoids,which exhibit cytotoxic effects against various cancer *** compounds function through multiple mechanisms,such as inducing apoptosis,inhibiting cell proliferation,suppressing angiogenesis,and modulating oxidative *** studies demonstrate that Cp extracts effectively reduce tumor size and improve survival rates in animal ***,Cp influences key signaling pathways like PI3K/Akt and NF-κB,which contribute to its anticancer *** therapeutic effects extend beyond oncology,encompassing,antinociceptive,anticonvulsant,antimalarial,anthelmintic,antioxidant,antidiabetic,myocardial infarction prevention,schizontocidal,antimicrobial,anti-inflammatory,larvicidal,immunomodulatory,antiulcer,Antifertility,antidiarrheal,estrogenic,and Dermatophytic *** the promising preclinical data,further investigation is necessary to address challenges such as bioavailability,toxicity,and the standardization of Cp-based *** review highlights the therapeutic promise of Cp as a complementary anticancer agent while emphasizing the need for rigorous clinical trials to confirm its safety and efficacy.
