BACKGROUND Mesenchymal stem cells(MSCs)are a type of stem cells that possess relevant regenerative abilities and can be used to treat many chronic *** mellitus(DM)is a frequently diagnosed chronic disease characterized by hyperglycemia which initiates many multisystem complications in the *** patients can benefit from MSCs transplantation to curb down the pathological consequences associated with hyperglycemia persistence and restore the function of damaged *** therapeutic outcomes are found to last for short period of time and ultimately these regenerative cells are eradicated and died in DM disease *** To investigate the impact of high glucose or hyperglycemia on the cellular and molecular characteristics of *** Human adipose tissue-derived MSCs(hAD-MSCs)were seeded in low(5.6 mmol/L of glucose)and high glucose(25 mmol/L of glucose)for 7 ***,viability,mitochondrial dynamics,and apoptosis were deplored using specific *** blotting was performed to measure the protein expression of phosphatidylinositol 3-kinase(PI3K),TSC1,and mammalian target of rapamycin(mTOR)in these *** hAD-MSCs cultured in high glucose for 7 d demonstrated marked decrease in their viability,as shown by a significant increase in lactate dehydrogenase(P<0.01)and a significant decrease in Trypan blue(P<0.05)in these cells compared to low glucose *** membrane potential,indicated by tetramethylrhodamine ethyl ester(TMRE)fluorescence intensity,and nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide(NAD+)/NADH ratio were significantly dropped(P<0.05 for TMRE and P<0.01 for NAD+/NADH)in high glucose exposed hAD-MSCs,indicating disturbed mitochondrial ***3K protein expression significantly decreased in high glucose culture MSCs(P<0.05 compared to low glucose)and it was coupled with significant upregulation in TSC1(P<0.05)and downregulation in mTOR protein expression(P<0.05).Mitochondrial complexes I,IV,and V were downregul

The healthcare industry is rapidly adapting to new computing environments and technologies. With academics increasingly committed to developing and enhancing healthcare solutions that combine the Internet of Things (IoT) and edge computing, there is a greater need than ever to adequately monitor the data being acquired, shared, processed, and stored. The growth of cloud, IoT, and edge computing models presents severe data privacy concerns, especially in the healthcare sector. However, rigorous research to develop appropriate data privacy solutions in the healthcare sector is still lacking. This paper discusses the current state of privacy-preservation solutions in IoT and edge healthcare applications. It identifies the common strategies often used to include privacy by the intelligent edges and technologies in healthcare systems. Furthermore, the study addresses the technical complexity, efficacy, and sustainability limits of these methods. The study also highlights the privacy issues and current research directions that have driven the IoT and edge healthcare solutions, with which more insightful future applications are encouraged.

In the era of the Internet of Things(IoT),the proliferation of connected devices has raised security concerns,increasing the risk of intrusions into diverse *** the convenience and efficiency offered by IoT technology,the growing number of IoT devices escalates the likelihood of attacks,emphasizing the need for robust security tools to automatically detect and explain *** paper introduces a deep learning methodology for detecting and classifying distributed denial of service(DDoS)attacks,addressing a significant security concern within IoT *** effective procedure of deep transfer learning is applied to utilize deep learning backbones,which is then evaluated on two benchmarking datasets of DDoS attacks in terms of accuracy and time *** leveraging several deep architectures,the study conducts thorough binary and multiclass experiments,each varying in the complexity of classifying attack types and demonstrating real-world ***,this study employs an explainable artificial intelligence(XAI)AI technique to elucidate the contribution of extracted features in the process of attack *** experimental results demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed method,achieving a recall of 99.39%by the XAI bidirectional long short-term memory(XAI-biLSTM)model.

Most software systems have different stakeholders with a variety of *** process of collecting requirements from a large number of stakeholders is vital but *** propose an efficient,automatic approach to collecting requirements from different stakeholders’responses to a specific *** use natural language processing techniques to get the stakeholder response that represents most other stakeholders’*** study improves existing practices in three ways:Firstly,it reduces the human effort needed to collect the requirements;secondly,it reduces the time required to carry out this task with a large number of stakeholders;thirdly,it underlines the importance of using of data mining techniques in various software engineering *** approach uses tokenization,stop word removal,and word lemmatization to create a list of frequently accruing *** then creates a similarity matrix to calculate the score value for each response and selects the answer with the highest *** experiments show that using this approach significantly reduces the time and effort needed to collect requirements and does so with a sufficient degree of accuracy.

Background:During the COVID-19 vaccination,the access to vaccines has been unequal among countries and indi‑viduals,for example low-income countries displayed signifcant low levels of ***,most refugees are living in developing low-income countries which struggling to access the essential health-care services including ***,the objective of this study was to assess the experiences and perceptions of COVID-19 infection and vaccination among Palestine refugees in Jerash camp compared to resident Jordanian ***:A face-to-face interview-based comparative cross-sectional study was carried out among Palestine refu‑gees in Jerash camp located in northern Jordan and Jordanian citizens from diferent cities in Jordan from October,2021 to March,2022.A Chi-square test was used to determine the diferences in the experiences and perceptions of COVID-19 infection and vaccination between Palestinian refugees and resident Jordanian *** regres‑sion analysis was performed to predict factors associated with the beliefs,barriers and hesitancy towards COVID-19 ***:The total number of participants was 992,with 501(50.5%)Palestinian refugees and 491(49.5%)Jordanian *** participants(64.1%)who have never been tested for COVID-19 were from the refugees(P<0.001),whereas about 80.3%of the participants tested for COVID-19 at private healthcare institutions were citizens(P<0.001).While 70.0%of the participants who tested positive for COVID-19(n=303)were from the refugees(P<0.001).Com‑pared to the citizens,the refugees had signifcantly lower levels of beliefs about the safety(P=0.008)and efciency(P<0.001)of COVID-19 *** also had lower rates of vaccine hesitancy(P=0.002)and vaccine uptake(P<0.001),and a higher rate of facing difculties during registration for COVID-19 vaccination(P<0.001).Furthermore,refugees have more negative attitudes toward the importance and implementation of COVID-19 precautionary activi
