Light plays an important role in plants' growth and development throughout their life cycle. Plants alter their morphological features in response to light cues of varying intensity and quality. Dedicated photoreceptors help plants to perceive light signals of different wave-lengths. Activated photoreceptors stimulate the down-stream signaling cascades that lead to extensive gene expression changes responsible for physiological and developmental responses. Proteins such as ELONGATED HYPOCOTYL5 (HY5) and CONSTITUTIVELY PHOTO-MOrPHOGENIC 1 (COP1) act as important factors which modulate light-regulated gene expression, especially during seedling development. These factors function as central regulatory intermediates not only in red, far-red, and blue light pathways but also in the UV-b signaling pathway. UV-b radiation makes up only a minor fraction of sunlight, yet it imparts many positive and negative effects on plant growth. Studies on UV-b perception, signaling, and response in plants has considerably surged in recent times. Plants have developed different strat-egies to use UV-b as a developmental cue as well as to withstand high doses of UV-b radiation. Plants' re-sponses to UV-b are an integration of its cross-talks with both environmental factors and phytohormones. This review outlines the current developments in light sig-naling with a major focus on UV-b-mediated plant growth regulation.

The effect of non-linear convection in a laminar three-dimensional Oldroyd-b fluid flow is addressed. The heat transfer phenomenon is explored by considering the non-linear thermal radiation and heat generation/absorption. The boundary layer as- sumptions are taken into account to govern the mathematical model of the flow analy- sis. Some suitable similarity variables are introduced to transform the partial differen- tial equations into ordinary differential systems. fifth-order techniques with the shooting method The runge-Kutta-Fehlberg fourth- and are used to obtain the solutions of the dimensionless velocities and temperature. The effects of various physical parameters on the fluid velocities and temperature are plotted and examined. A comparison with the exact and homotopy perturbation solutions is made for the viscous fluid case, and an excellent match is noted. The numerical values of the wall shear stresses and the heat transfer rate at the wall are tabulated and investigated. The enhancement in the values of the Deborah number shows a reverse behavior on the liquid velocities. The results show that the temperature and the thermal boundary layer are reduced when the non- linear convection parameter increases. The values of the Nusselt number are higher in the non-linear radiation situation than those in the linear radiation situation.

Coffee is commonly consumed beverage in the world and it has been suggested to have beneficial *** acids(CGAs)are main ingredient of coffee beans which has been extensively used in nutraceuticals and ***,various therapeutic effects of chlorogenic acids have been ***,there are limited studies to investigate its anticancer *** the present study,we have used chlorogenic acid complex(CGA7)a decaffeinated water soluble green coffee bean extract to evaluate its cytotoxic effect on human and mouse cancer cell lines by using different *** our results we found CGA7 treatment induces cell death in a dose and time dependent manner in different cancer cell ***,CGA7 induced apoptosis was characterized by DNA fragmentation,PArP-1 cleavage,caspase-9 activation,and down regulation of bcl-2,an anti-apoptotic protein and up regulation of pro-apoptotic protein *** findings indicated that CGA7 complex a potent anticancer molecule found in green coffee beans could be a safe bioactive ingredient for prevention of cancer.

This study investigates the structural properties of super-heavy nuclei with Z=130 by adopting the relativistic mean-field (rMF) theory within an axially deformed oscillator basis with the NL3 force parameter set. We study the binding energies, quadrupole deformation, nuclear radii, neutron separation energies, and other bulk properties. Moreover, we analyze the favorable decay modes for clear cognitive content of nuclei, such as alpha decay, using different formulae including the Viola-Seaberg, analytical formula of royer, universal curve formula, and universal decay law. We compare these with the corresponding fission process. The spontaneous fission of super-heavy nuclei is studied with Z=130 within the mass region 310≤A≤340. The results exhibit good agreement with finite range droplet model (FrDM) data. This formalism presents a significant step forward in the study of the structure and decay modes of the isotopes of Z=130. With this appraisal, we investigate the possible shell/sub-shell closure for super-heavy nuclei adjacent by decay chains of alpha and other radioactive decay particles.

Impact of forest fire on soil seed bank composition in Himalayan Chir pine forest

Aims To explain how plant community copes with a recurring anthropogenic forest fire in Himalayan Chir pine forest,it is important to understand their postfire regeneration *** primary aim of the study was to know:(i)how fire impact soil seed bank composition and(ii)how much soil seed bank composition differs with standing vegetation after the forest *** Soil samples were collected from burned and adjoining unburned sites in blocks using three layers down to 9 cm depth immediately after a forest fire and incubated in the net-house for seedling *** sites were revisited during late monsoon/early autumn season to know the species composition of standing vegetation recovered after a forest *** Findings Soil contained viable seeds of>70 *** average seed bank density was 8417 and 14217 seeds/m^(2) in the burned and unburned site,*** both sites,it decreased with increasing soil *** fire had no significant impact on seed density;however,taking individual layers into consideration,fire had a significant impact on seed density only in the uppermost soil *** species richness of soil seed bank and standing vegetation was 73 and 100,respectively(with 35 shared species),resulting in a similarity of about 40%.In contrast,>80%species in soil seed bank was found similar between burned and unburned ***,there were no significant differences in species richness of standing vegetation in burned(87 spp.)and unburned(78 spp.)*** results showed that fire had an insignificant impact on soil seed bank composition and restoration potential of a plant species from *** understory herb and shrub plant community’s ability to form a fire-resistant viable soil seed bank and capable to recover in the postfire rainy season,explains how they reduce the risk of recurring fire damage in maintaining their population.

In this work, the electronic, optical, and mechanical properties of bN, AlN, and InN under the action of pressure are calculated. For each of these compounds, the energy band structure, band gaps（E^L_g, E~Γ_g, E^X_g）, refractive index（n）,dielectric constants（ε_∞, ε_0）, elastic constants（C_11, C_12, C_44）, and relevant parameters such as bulk（b_u）, shear（S_h）, and Young＇s（Y_0） moduli are studied, and other important parameters such as bond-stretching（α）, bond-bending（β） force constant, internal-strain parameter（ζ）, effective charges（e~＊_T, Z~＊）, anisotropy factor（I_s）, Poisson＇s ratio（P_o）, Cauchy ratio（C_a）, the ductility index（μ_D）, and linear compressibility（C0_） are also calculated. The effects of pressure on all studied properties are investigated. Our results are in good agreement with the available experimental and theoretical data for bN,AlN, and InN.
