Background and object.ve: Chronic rhinosinusit.s (CRS), a common disease worl.wide, has a major impact.on pat.ent.’ qual.t. of l.fe (Qol.. In recent.years, t.e measurement.of heal.h-rel.t.d Qol.has made it.possibl. t. assess t.e pat.ent.s st.t. of heal.h, t.e severit. of t.e CRS and t.e t.eat.ent. t.e aim of t.is st.dy was t. assess t.e Qol.of pat.ent. wit. CRS in a hospit.l.set.ing in Kinshasa. Met.ods: t.is was a cross-sect.onal.anal.t.cal.st.dy conduct.d from June 2020 t. May 2021 in t.e ENt.service of t.e Kinshasa Universit. Hospit.l.and t.e Monkol. Hospit.l.Cent.r. t.e st.dy invol.ed 113 pat.ent. aged at.l.ast.18 years, whose QOl.was compared wit. t.at.of a cont.ol.group consist.ng of 100 non-pat.ent.. QOl.was assessed using t.e Sino-Nasal.Out.ome t.st.(SNOt.22) Quest.onnaire. Resul.s: t.e mean age of t.e pat.ent. was 41.0 years (18 - 74 years) and t.at.of t.e cont.ol. was 39.1 years (19 - 77 years). More t.an hal. of t.e part.cipant. were universit. graduat.s. t.e median SNOt.22 score was 44 (14 - 78) in pat.ent. and 7 (1 - 40) in cont.ol.. Compared wit. subject. wit.out.CRS, pat.ent. wit. CRS had significant.0} higher scores in al. four domains of t.e SNOt.22. Around 9 out.of 10 pat.ent. had a severel. impaired Qol.compared wit. 2 out.of 10 cont.ol.. Considering mil.l. impaired Qol. we found t.at.in t.e ot.l.gical.and sl.ep domains, scores were not.significant.0} different.bet.een pat.ent. and cont.ol.. In t.e case of severel. impaired Qol. however, onl. t.e ot.l.gical.domain showed a non-significant.difference in scores bet.een t.e t.o groups. Concl.sion: CRS is a real.publ.c heal.h probl.m in our environment.and significant.0} al.ers t.e Qol.of pat.ent. suffering from it. wit. repercussions on t.eir professional.product.vit.;hence t.e need for bet.er management.
