Exposure to air pollutants such as PM_(10),PM_(2.5),PM_(0.1),O_(3),CO,NO2,and SO_(2),and biological pollutants are important factors causing the evolution and furtherance of obstructive lung diseases(OLD),including asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease(COPD).Asthma is the most frequent chronic inflammatory airway disease,characterized by breathlessness,wheezing,chest tightness,and cough,together with the presence of exaggerated expiratory airflow fluctuation that varies over *** is a heterogeneous lung condition characterized by chronic respiratory symptoms such as dyspnea,cough,expectoration,and/or exacerbations due to abnormalities of the airways and/or alveoli that cause persistent,often progressive,airflow *** the molecular mechanisms and cellular processes based on the development of OLD on exposure to air pollutants will provide insights into the solution of pathogenesis,prevention,and treatment of these *** molecular mechanisms and cellular process involved in signal transduction pathway plays a role in the binding of extracellular signaling molecules and ligands to receptors placed on the cell surface or on the inner side cell that trigger inflammation that occurs,especially when something important enters the cell to bring into a cascade *** binding then alters the cell metabolism,shape,and gene expression in the *** review aimed to reveal the effect of air pollutants on the molecular mechanisms and cellular processes involved in the signal transduction pathways in OLD.

The pollen morphology of 13 taxa(34 specimens) of the genera Glechoma L.,and Marmoritis *** investigated in detail using light,scanning electron,and transmission electron *** grains of all studied taxa are small to large in size(P = 32.5-60.4 μm,E = 20.2-50.5 μm),prolate-spheroidal to prolate in shape and mostly hexacolpate(the amb more or less circular or rarely ellipsoid) with granular *** sexine ornamentation of Glechoma is bireticulate;the muri of the primary reticulum are irregularly circled,and lumen size is *** contrast,the sexine surfaces of the Marmoritis pollen tend to more elongate or wider at the muri of the primary reticulum than those of the *** pollen wall stratification of selected taxa(three from Glechoma and one from Marmoritis) is characterized by unbranched columellae,and continuous or distinctly discontinuous endexine based on transmission electron microscopy *** results of Glechoma and Marmoritis reveal rather similar pollen morphological features,however,fine details of sexine ornamentation are characteristic to differentiate the pollen *** these differences may be useful in establishing the taxonomic boundary between two genera,they are too weak to segregate diagnostic characters.

Hydrogen is produced by direct dissociation of water vapor,i.e.,splitting water molecules by the electrons in water plasma at low pressure(<10–50 Torr)using microwave plasma *** condition generates a high electron temperature,which facilitates the direct dissociation of water molecules.A microwave plasma source is developed,utilizing the magnetron of a microwave oven and a TE10 rectangular *** quantity of the generated hydrogen is measured using a residual gas *** electron density and temperature are measured by a Langmuir probe,and the neutral temperature is calculated from the OH line intensity.

The spectral domain interferometer(SDI)has been widely used in dimensional *** on the nature of the SDI,both wider spectral bandwidth and narrower linewidth of the light source are paradoxically required to achieve better resolution and longer measurable *** this perspective,a broadband frequency comb with a repetition rate high enough to be spectrally resolved can be an ideal light source for *** this paper,we propose and implement a broadband electro-optic frequency comb to realize a comb-mode resolved *** proposed electro-optic frequency comb was designed with an optically recirculating loop to provide a broadband spectrum,which has a repetition rate of 17.5 GHz and a spectral range of 35 *** a preliminary test,we demonstrated absolute distance measurements with sub-100 nm *** of these advantages,we believe this electro-optic frequency comb can open up new possibilities for SDIs.

Background and objective: Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) is characterized by progressive airflow limitation that is associated with an abnormal inflammatory response of the lung to noxious particles or gases. Cigarette smoking is the major risk factor for the development of COPD. This study evaluated the levels of cyclophilin B in sputa from patients with COPD and COPD with acute exacerbation (AECOPD). Materials and Methods: Two-dimensional electrophoresis was used for differential display proteomics. Western blotting was used to identify and quantify cyclophilin B in sputum from subjects with AECOPD and COPD. Results: Forty-nine protein spots differed in relative intensity between the AECOPD (n = 6) and COPD (n = 6) subjects. Twenty proteins showed increased expression in the sputum of AECOPD subjects, and 29 proteins were present at lower levels in AECOPD sputum compared with COPD sputum. One of these proteins was associated with cyclophilin B. Cyclophilin B concentrations were lower in sputum from subjects with COPD (n = 4) versus AECOPD (n = 4). Conclusion: The sputum proteomic analysis suggests that changes in various proteins are associated with the development of AECOPD.

Background The clinical significance of complete revascularization for ST segment elevation myocardial infarction （STEMI） pa- tients during admission is still debatable. Methods A total of 1406 STEMI patients from the Korean Myocardial Infarction Registry with multivessel diseases without cardiogenic shock who underwent primary percutaneous coronary intervention （PPCI） were analyzed. We used propensity score matching （PSM） to control differences of baseline characteristics between culprit only intervention （CP） and multivessel percutaneous coronary interventions （MP）, and between double vessel disease （DVD） and triple vessel disease （TVD）. The major adverse cardiac event （MACE） was analyzed for one year after discharge. Results TVD patients showed higher incidence of MACE （14.2% vs. 8.6%, P = 0.01）, any cause of revascularization （10.6% vs. 5.9%, P - 0.01）, and repeated PCI （9.5% vs. 5.7%, P = 0.02）, as compared to DVD patients during one year after discharge. MP reduced MACE effectively （7.3% vs. 13.8%, P = 0.03）, as compared to CP for one year, but all cause of death （1.6% vs. 3.2%, P= 0.38）, Ml （0.4% vs. 0.8%, P = 1.00）, and any cause ofrevascularization （5.3% vs. 9.7%, P = 0.09） were comparable in the two treatment groups. Conclusions STEMI patients with TVD showed higher rate of MACE, as compared to DVD MP performed during PPCI or ad hoc during admission for STEMI patients without cardiogenic shock showed lower rate of MACE in this large scaled database. Therefore, MP could be considered as an effective treatment option for STEMI patients without cardiogenic shock.

For an evaluation of a thermal conductivity of Zr + 30 vol% ZrO2 simulated inert matrix nuclear fuel pellet, a simulated fuel pellet was fabricated using a hot-pressing method at 800°C in a vacuum and at a 20 MPa load. And several thermophysical properties of the simulated inert matrix fuel pellet were measured and calculated. The thermal diffusivity and linear thermal expansion as a function of temperature of the simulated fuel pellet were measured using a laser flash method and a dilatometry, respectively. Finally, based on the experimental data, the thermal conductivity of the simulated inert matrix fuel pellet was calculated and evaluated.

松萎蔫病是一种非常复杂的病害。据报道,松材线虫(Bursaphelenchus xylophilus)及其携带的细菌诱导了该病,但是对于细菌的的作用尚存争议。笔者筛选出杀细菌剂进行了温室和林间防治松萎蔫病的实验。利用每株3年生赤松(Pinus densiflora)注射3mg的恶喹酸,松萎蔫病防效达到71%。利用恶喹酸或阿维菌素及两者混合物对大约20年生赤松的试验表明,3种处理均显示了很高的防效。以上结果证明伴生细菌是诱导松萎蔫病的必要因素,对松萎蔫病可利用杀细菌剂或杀细菌剂与杀线剂混合物进行防控。
