Melatonin is a versatile indolamine synthesized and secreted by the pineal gland in response to the photoperiodic information received by the retinohypothalamic signaling *** has many benefits,such as organizing circadian rhythms and acting as a powerful *** aimed to show the antitumor effects of melatonin in both in vivo and in vitro models through the mammalian target of rapamycin(mTOR)signaling pathway and the Argyrophilic Nucleolar Regulatory Region(AgNOR),using the Microcomputed Tomography(Micro CT).Ehrlich ascites carcinoma(EAC)cells were administered into the mice by subcutaneous *** with solid tumors were injected intraperitoneally with 50 and 100 mg/kg melatonin for 14 *** measurements for the taken tumors were made with micro-CT imaging,immunohistochemistry(IHC),real-time polymerase chain reaction(PCR)and ***,the tumor tissue volume in the Tumor+100 mg/kg melatonin group was significantly lower than that in the other groups in the data obtained from micro-CT *** the IHC analysis,the groups treated with Tumor+100 mg/kg melatonin were compared when the mTOR signaling pathway and factor 8(F8)expression were compared with the control *** was determined that there was a significant decrease(p<0.05).Significant differences were found in the total AgNOR area/nuclear area(TAA/NA)ratio in the treatment groups(p<0.05).Furthermore,there were significant differences between the amount of mTOR mRNA for the phosphatidylinositol 3-kinase(PI3K),AKT Serine/Threonine Kinase(PKB/AKT)genes(p<0.05).Cell apoptosis was evaluated with Annexin V in an in vitro study with different doses of melatonin;It was observed that 100µg/mL melatonin dose caused an increase in the apoptotic cell *** this study,we have reported anti-tumor effects of melatonin in cell culture studies as well as in mice *** characterization of the melatonin-mediated cancer inhibitory effects will be valuable in advanc

BACKGROUND Elective cholecystectomy(CCY)is recommended for patients with gallstone-related acute cholangitis(AC)following endoscopic decompression to prevent recurrent biliary ***,the optimal timing and implications of CCY remain *** To examine the impact of same-admission CCY compared to interval CCY on patients with gallstone-related AC using the National Readmission Database(NRD).METHODS We queried the NRD to identify all gallstone-related AC hospitalizations in adult patients with and without the same admission CCY between 2016 and *** primary outcome was all-cause 30-d readmission rates,and secondary outcomes included in-hospital mortality,length of stay(LOS),and hospitalization *** Among the 124964 gallstone-related AC hospitalizations,only 14.67%underwent the same admission *** all-cause 30-d readmissions in the same admission CCY group were almost half that of the non-CCY group(5.56%vs 11.50%).Patients in the same admission CCY group had a longer mean LOS and higher hospitalization costs attrib-utable to *** the most common reason for readmission was sepsis in both groups,the second most common reason was AC in the interval CCY *** Our study suggests that patients with gallstone-related AC who do not undergo the same admission CCY have twice the risk of readmission compared to those who undergo CCY during the same *** readmis-sions can potentially be prevented by performing same-admission CCY in appropriate patients,which may reduce subsequent hospitalization costs secondary to readmissions.

Current investigation deals with the effect of grain growth process as a function of sintering temperature on the electromagnetic properties （initial permeability, impedance, and gain） of Mn-Zn ferrite （MZF） cores （toroids）. By employing auto combustion process, nanosized [（20 ± 5） nm] MZF powders were synthesized and toroid shape cores were obtained after subsequent calcination and firing （sintering） process. It was observed that the submicron structure （0.5 μm） achieved in the ferrite core sintered at 1,000 ℃ was gradually transformed into micron size grains by increasing the firing temperature i.e., 1,100, 1,200, and 1,350 ℃. The results reveal that MZF core sintered at low temperature （1,000 ℃） showed high impedance, low initial permeability, and narrow working frequency range i.e., 3-15 MHz. However, the improvement in initial permeability, sintered density, and operational frequency range （100 kHz-17 MHz） was observed at high temperature （1,350 ℃） firing in the inert environment. This synthesized MZF core is more suitable for miniaturized switch mode power supply applications.

Background:Many research papers have utilized Species Distribution Models to estimate a species’current and future geographic distribution and environmental *** study aims to(a)understand critical features of SDMs used to model endemic and rare species and(b)to identify possible constraints with the collected *** present systematic review examined how SDMs are used on endemic and rare plant species to identify optimal practices for future ***:The evaluated literature(79 articles)was published between January 2010 and December *** number of papers grew considerably over *** studies were primarily conducted in Asia(41%),Europe(24%),and Africa(2%).The bulk of the research evaluated(38%)focused on theoretical ecology,climate change impacts(19%),and conservation policy and planning(22%).Most of the papers were published in publications devoted to biodiversity conservation,ecological or multidisciplinary *** degree of uncertainty was not disclosed in most studies(81%).Conclusion:This systematic review provides a broad overview of the emerging trends and gaps in the SDMs *** majority of studies failed to present uncertainties and error ***,when model performance estimates are given,the model results will be highly effective,allowing for more assurance in the predictions they ***,based on our systematic review,we recommend that in the future rare and endemic SDMs should represent uncertainty levels and estimates of errors in the modelling process.

The rapid spread of SARS-Co V-2 has significantly impacted the worldwide health *** SARS-Co V-2 currently bears a remarkably low genetic diversity even though it carries one of the largest RNA genomes among viruses(Rausch et al.,2020).However,the coronaviruses harbor the capability of undergoing recombination at a high rate which can lead to the emergence of novel viral derivatives(Rausch et al.,2020;Gribble et al.,2021).

Various researchers emphasize that growth of HE sector is vital for Pakistan. In this regard, the non-supportive mindset of Pakistani governments is historically evident and its peak was observed during the latest regime. At present, most HE projects are at halt due to budgetary cuts imposed on HEC during 2008-2013. Therefore, this paper focuses rather on the exploitation of external means to surmount these financial restraints. Three probable solutions are proposed and their feasibility is assessed in detail; i.e. ’further growth of private HE sector’, ’increased reliance on ICTs’ and ’expansion of Pakistani HE sector across border’. The results should assist HEC to boost highly educated HR in Pakistan despite its current financial scenario.

由于“中巴经济走廊”经济发展形势的需要,巴基斯坦国内对在这一领域工作的商务汉语人才产生了极大的需求。但目前巴国内开设商务汉语课程的相关教学机构很少,四所孔院中只有卡拉奇孔院开设了商务汉语课程。由于此课程开设的时间较短,其教学设备、课程设置、教材、师资、教学方法等方面都不甚理想。本论文采用调查法和访谈法,对卡拉奇孔院开展商务汉语教学的情况进行全方位的调查研究,以期充分了解巴基斯坦商务汉语教学开展的实际状况,并在调查分析的基础上,发现巴商务汉语教学发展的可能方向及教学改进措施。本论文共分为五章。第一章绪论,主要说明了选题的背景及研究的意义和目标,概述了前期研究成果,交代了论文的主要研究方法。第二章首先概述了巴基斯坦的商务汉语教学情况及卡拉奇孔院的商务汉语教学现状。重点介绍了卡拉奇孔子学院所开设的商务汉语教学基本情况以及商务汉语学习者和商务汉语授课老师的基本情况。第三章对卡拉奇大学孔子学院商务汉语的课程设置、教材使用、商务汉语课程教学效果、学习者参加相关水平测试、学习者对商务汉语相关实习的认知度情况进行了详细调查和分析。第四章,通过调查数据分析,找出卡孔商务汉语教学中存在的问题并解释其原因。第五章,针对卡拉奇孔子学院商务汉语教学中存在的问题,并结合巴基斯坦商务汉语学习者的特点,提出相关建议。结语展望了卡拉奇孔子学院以及巴基斯坦国内汉语教学机构商务汉语教学的前景。

近几年来,随着GPS在智能手机和手持式设备中的集成应用,追踪与导航服务得到了广泛关注。人们开始意识到个人与物体的定位已成为日常的基本需求。目前,GPS系统几乎无所不在,且广泛应用于市场中的大部分智能手机。通过卫星定位技术,可以轻易的获取物体的地理位置,但是它需要一条卫星与GPS系统之间的清晰线路。实验证明,GPS信号强度容易被建筑物削弱,使得GPS定位不太适合在室内环境应用。目前,个人与物体的室内导航已经成了超市、酒店、医院等场所的潜在应用与基本需求。对于室内导航和定位,目前可利用的无线技术主要有RFID、蓝牙、超声和超宽频系统等。论文首先探究分析了不同室内导航定位的技术,并提出了一种适用于室内的导航定位系统,即UWB(超宽带)导航定位系统。由于功耗低,带宽高和时间分辨率优良等特性,该技术成了目前很有前景的定位技术。此外,本文还深入探讨了用于位置感知目的的TOA、TDOA、AOA、RSSI等算法的有效性,这些算法可有效的用于变电站室内环境。为了验证系统的有效性及可靠性,在实验室进行不同模型和多种干扰环境下的实验测试,测试结果表明系统的测量精度可以达到厘米级别。并评估了基于TDOA算法的超宽频系统的精确度。最后,针对在复杂结构的无人值守变电站中出现的故障位置寻找困难等问题,提出了基于UWB系统的解决方法。实验测试证明,该UWB设备可达到厘米级别的精度,很适合应用于无人值守变电站。
