In this editorial,we comment on the article by ali et al published in the recent issue of the World Journal of Clinical *** case report shed light on a particularly rare manifestation of this disease-primary gastrointestinal tuberculosis(GTB)presenting as gastric outlet *** presents diagnostic challenges due to its nonspecific symptoms and lack of highly accurate diagnostic *** editorial synthesizes epidemiological data,risk factors,pathogenesis,clinical presentations,diagnostic methods,and therapies to raise awareness about *** constitutes 1%-3%of all tuberculosis cases globally,with 6%-38%of patients also having pulmonary *** involves various modes of Mycobacterium tuberculosis complex entry into the gastrointestinal system,with the terminal ileum and ileocecal valve commonly *** presentation varies,often resembling other intra-abdominal pathologies,necessitating a high index of *** tools include a combination of biochemical,microbiological,radiological,and endoscopic *** medication remains the cornerstone of treatment,supplemented by surgical intervention in severe *** management involving gastroenterologists,surgeons,pulmonologists,and infectious disease specialists is crucial for optimal *** advancements,timely diagnosis and management challenges persist,underscoring the need for continued research and collaboration in addressing primary GTB.

This study aimed to evaluate the surface roughness and wetting properties of various dental prosthetic materials after different durations of non-thermal atmospheric plasma（NTAP）*** hundred and sixty discs of titanium（Ti）（n：40）,cobalt chromium（Co-Cr）（n：40）,yttrium stabilized tetragonal zirconia polycrystals（Y-TZP）（n：40）and polymethylmethacrylate（PMMA）（n：40）materials were machined and smoothed with silicon carbide *** surface roughness was evaluated in a control group and in groups with different plasma exposure times [1-3-5 s].The average surface roughness（Ra）and contact angle（CA）measurements were recorded via an atomic force microscope（AFM）and tensiometer,*** changes were examined with a scanning electron microscope（SEM）.Data were analyzed with two-way analysis of variance（ANOVA）and the Tukey HSD test α=0.05）.According to the results,the NTAP surface treatment significantly affected the roughness and wettability properties（P 〈 0.05）.SEM images reveal that more grooves were present in the NTAP *** an increase in the NTAP application time,an apparent increment was observed for Ra,except in the PMMA group,and a remarkable reduction in CA was observed in all *** is concluded that the NTAP technology could enhance the roughening and wetting performance of various dental materials.

Polylactide(PLA)/poly(butylene adipate-co-terephthalate)(PBAT)blend nanocomposites including 3 wt%of cel-lulose nanocrystals(CNCs)were prepared by melt compounding method in a twin-screw extruder and an inter-nal *** nanocomposites were formulated by diluting three different masterbatches prepared by solution casting method that contained 7 wt%of *** masterbatches were:(m1)PLA/PBAT/CNC masterbatch;(m2)PLA/CNC masterbatch;and(m3)PBAT/CNC *** were to explore how different prepara-tion methods affect the dispersion and localization of CNC and hence the properties of PLA/PBAT/CNC blend *** electron microscopy(SEM)was used to study the structural changes of the *** properties of PLA/PBAT blends and PLA/PBAT/CNC blend nanocomposites were also *** the samples prepared by internal mixer,the rheological behavior of blend nanocomposite prepared through premixing of CNC particles with PLA showed a transition from liquid-like to a gel-like *** to the rheological results and differential scanning calorimetry(DSC)analysis,it was found that the CNC overall enhanced the viscoelastic properties of blends and improved the PLA crystallization,*** mechanical analysis(DMA)illustrated that the incorporation of CNC also enhanced the elastic modulus of PLA/PBAT blends specifically above the glass transition temperature of *** expected improvements in mechanical properties did not occur due to the possible existence of residual solvent in the blends.

AIM： To investigate the effect of oral solifenacin succinate, tolterodine-L-tartarate and oxybutinin hydrochloride（HCl） on accommodation amplitude.·METHODS： Female overactive bladder syndrome（OAB）patients who were planned to use oral anticholinergics,patients that uses solifenacin succinate 5 mg（Group I,n =25）, tolterodine-L-tartarate 4 mg（Group II, n =25）,and oxybutinin HCl 5 mg b.i.d.（Group III, n =25） and age matched healthy female subjects（Group IV, n =25） were recruited and complete ophthalmological examination and accommodation amplitude assessment were done at baseline and 4wk after initiation of treatment.·RESULTS： The mean age of 100 consecutive female subjects was 51.6 ±5.7（40-60）y and there were no statistically significant difference with regard to the mean age（P =0.107） and baseline accommodation amplitude（P =0.148） between study groups. All treatment groups showed a significant decrease in accommodation amplitude following a 4-week course of anticholinergic treatment（P =0.008 in Group I, P =0.002 in Group II, P =0.001 in Group III）, but there was no statistically significant difference in Group IV（P =0.065）.·CONCLUSION： A 4-week course of oral anticholinergic treatment have statistically significant effect on accommodation amplitude. Clinicians should avoid both overestimating this result, as this would unnecessarily restrict therapeutic possibilities, and also underestimating it which may lead to drug intolerance.
