A metalloid Ti13Cu87 target was sputtered by reactive DC magnetron sputtering at various substrate temperatures in an Ar-N2 mixture ambient. The sputtered species were condensed on si (111), glass slide and Potsssium bromide (KBr) substrates. The as-deposited films were characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) spectroscopy, Scanning electron microscope (SEM), energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDX), optical spectrophotometry and four point probe technique. The as-deposited films present composite structure of nano-crystallite cubic anti-ReO3 structure of Ti inserted Cu3N (Ti:Cu3N) and nano-crystallite face centre cubic (fcc) structure of Cu. The titanium atoms and sequential nitrogen excess form a solid solution within the Cu3N crystal structure and accommodate in crystal lattice and vacant interstitial site, respectively. Depending on substrate temperature, unreacted N atoms interdiffuse between crystallites and their (and grain) boundaries. The films have agglomerated structure with atomic Ti:Cu ratio less than that of the original targets. A theoretical model has been developed, based on sputtering yield, to predict the atomic Ti:Cu ratio for the as-deposited films. Film thickness, refractive index and extinction coefficient are extracted from the measured transmittance spectra. The films’ resistivity is strongly depending on its microstructural features and substrate temperature.

Experimental investigation of enhancement of carbon dioxide foam stability, pore plugging, and oil recovery in the presence of silica nanoparticles

The influence of surface-modified silica(siO_2) nanoparticles on the stability and pore plugging properties of foams in porous media was investigated in this study. The pore plugging ability of foams was estimated from the pressure drop induced during foam propagation in porous media. The results clearly showed that the modified si02 nanoparticlestabilized foam exhibited high stability, and the differential pressure increased in porous media by as much as three *** addition of siO_2 nanoparticles to the foaming dispersions further mitigated the adverse effect of oil toward the foam pore plugging ability. Consequently, the oil recovery increased in the presence of nanoparticles by approximately 15%during the enhanced oil recovery experiment. The study suggested that the addition of surface-modified silica nanoparticles to the surfactant solution could considerably improve the conventional foam stability and pore plugging performance in porous media.

目的探讨芪冬活血饮通过干扰素调节因子5(IRF5)抑制肺组织M1巨噬细胞募集治疗急性肺损伤(ali)的作用机制。方法24只C57BL/6小鼠随机分成四组,即空白组、模型组、芪冬活血饮低剂量(1 g/mL)和高剂量(2 g/mL)组,每组6只。采用脂多糖(LPS)制备ali模型,采用苏木素-伊红(HE)染色法观察肺组织病理学改变;采用酶联免疫吸附试验(ELISA)检测肺泡灌洗液炎症因子[肿瘤坏死因子α(TNF-α)、白细胞介素-1β(IL-1β)、白细胞介素(IL-6)]水平;采用原位末端转移酶标记技术(TUNEL)染色检测肺组织细胞凋亡情况;采用流式细胞术检测肺组织M1型巨噬细胞水平,采用蛋白质印迹法检测半胱氨酸天冬氨酸蛋白酶3剪切体(cleaved caspase3)、B淋巴细胞瘤-2蛋白(Bcl-2)、BCL2相关X蛋白(Bax)表达;采用实时荧光定量聚合酶链式反应(qRT-PCR)检测肺组织IRF5 mRNA表达;采用免疫荧光法检测IRF5蛋白在肺组织中的原位表达。结果与空白组比较,模型组小鼠肺组织肺泡结构破坏,肺间质水肿增厚,炎性细胞浸润,红细胞渗出,肺组织细胞凋亡显著增加,肺泡灌洗液炎症因子水平显著提高[IL-6:(964.87±85.12)pg/mL比(83.24±8.19)pg/mL,Pali肺组织M1型巨噬细胞募集,减轻炎症反应,其机制可能与抑制IRF5有关。

The present study was designed to synthesize 2-Cyano-3, 12-dioxooleana-1, 9(11)-en-28-oate-13β, 28-olide(1), a lactone derivative of oleanolic acid(OA) and evaluate its anti-inflammatory activity. Compound 1 significantly diminished nitric oxide(NO) production and down-regulated the m RNA expression of iNOS, COX-2, IL-6, IL-1β, and TNF-α in lipopolysaccharide(LPS)-stimulated RAW264.7 cells. Further in vivo studies in murine model of LPS-induced acute lung injury(ali) showed that 1 possessed more potent protective effects than the well-known anti-inflammatory drug dexamethasone by inhibiting myeloperoxidase(MPO) activity, reducing total cells and neutrophils, and suppressing inflammatory cytokines expression, and thus ameliorating the histopathological conditions of the injured lung tissue. In conclusion, compound 1 could be developed as a promising anti-inflammatory agent for intervention of LPS-induced ali.

Manganese(Mn) is an important industrial *** about the chemical and phase constitution along with the concentration of impurities presented in Mn ore is compulsory in assessing its suitability for different *** performed the qualitative and quantitative analysis of low-grade Mn ore(LGMO) using laser-induced breakdown spectroscopy(LIBS) in conjunction with x-ray diffraction(XRD), x-ray fluorescence(XRF) and scanning electron microscopy(SEM) coupled with energy dispersive x-ray electron spectroscopy(EDS).The optical emission spectra of the LGMO sample displayed the presence of Mn, si, Ca, Fe, Al, Mg,V, Ti, Sr, Ni, Na, Ba and *** plasma parameters, electron temperature and number density were estimated using the Boltzmann plot and Stark broadening line profile methods and were found to be 7500 K±750 K and 8.18±0.8×1017 cm-3, *** analysis was performed using the calibration-free LIBS(CF-LIBS) method and its outcome along with XRD, XRF and SEM-EDS data showed almost analogous elemental composition, while the LIBS method gave acceptably precise elemental analysis by detecting the low atomic number element Li besides V and *** results obtained using LIBS for the LGMO exhibited its ability as a powerful analytical tool and XRF, XRD and SEM-EDS as complementary methods for the compositional analysis of complex low-grade mineral ore.

An experimental study on lost foam casting of an Al-si-Cu alloy was conducted. The main objective was to study the effect of pattern coating thickness on casting imperfection and porosity percentage as well as eutectic silicon spacing of the alloy. The results showed that increasing slurry viscosity and flask dipping time influenced the casting integrity and microstructural characteristics. It was found that thinner pattern coating produced improved mould filling, refined microstructure and higher quality castings containing less porosity.

Objective: To investigate protective effect of Cordyceps sinensis(CS) through autophagyassociated adenosine monophosphate-activated protein kinase(AMPK)/mammalian target of rapamycin(mTOR) signaling pathway in acute kidney injury(AKI)-induced acute lung injury(ali). Methods: Forty-eight male Sprague-Dawley rats were divided into 4 groups according to a random number table, including the normal saline(NS)-treated sham group(sham group), NS-treated ischemia reperfusion injury(IRI) group(IRI group), and low-(5 g/kg·d) and high-dose(10 g/kg·d) CS-treated IRI groups(CS1 and CS2 groups), 12 rats in each group. Nephrectomy of the right kidney was performed on the IRI rat model that was subjected to 60 min of left renal pedicle occlusion followed by 12, 24, 48, and 72 h of reperfusion. The wet-to-dry(W/D) ratio of lung, levels of serum creatinine(Scr), blood urea nitrogen(BUN), inflammatory cytokines such as interleukin-βand tumor necrosis factor-α, and biomarkers of oxidative stress such as superoxide dismutase, malonaldehyde(MDA) and myeloperoxidase(MPO), were assayed. Histological examinations were conducted to determine damage of tissues in the kidney and lung. The protein expressions of light chain 3 Ⅱ/light chain 3 Ⅰ(LC3-Ⅱ/LC3-Ⅰ), uncoordinated-51-like kinase 1(ULK1), P62, AMPK and mTOR were measured by Western blot and immunohistochemistry, respectively. Results: The renal IRI induced pulmonary injury following AKI,resulting in significant increases in W/D ratio of lung, and the levels of Scr, BUN, inflammatory cytokines, MDA and MPO(Psion levels of P62 and mTOR were significantly lower(Psignificantly higher in the CS2 group(Psion:CS had a potential in treating lung injury following renal IRI through activation of the autophagy-related AMPK/mTOR signaling pathway in AKI-i
