This article proposes a multidisciplinary design and optimization （MDO） strategy for the conceptual design of a multistage ground-based interceptor （GBI） using hybrid optimization algorithm, which associates genetic algorithm （GA） as a global optimizer with sequential quadratic programming （SQP） as a local optimizer. The interceptor is comprised of a three-stage solid propulsion system for an exoatmospheric boost phase intercept （BPI）. The interceptor＇s duty is to deliver a kinetic kill vehicle （KKV） to the optimal position in space to accomplish the mission of intercept. The modules for propulsion, aerodynamics, mass properties and flight dynamics are integrated to produce a high fidelity model of the entire vehicle. The propulsion module com- prises of solid rocket motor （SRM） grain design, nozzle geometry design and performance prediction analysis. Internal ballistics and performance prediction parameters are calculated by using lumped parameter method. The design objective is to minimize the gross lift off mass （GLOM） of the interceptor under the mission constraints and performance objectives. The proposed design and optimization methodology provide designers with an efficient and powerful approach in computation during designing interceptor systems.

Satellite launch vehicle lies at the cross-road of multiple challenging technologies and its design and optimization present a typical example of multidisciplinary design and optimization（MDO） *** complexity of problem demands highly effi-cient and effective algorithm that can optimize the *** heuristic approach（HHA） based on meta-heuristics is applied to the optimization of air launched satellite launch vehicle（ASLV）.A non-learning random function（NLRF） is proposed to con-trol low-level meta-heuristics（LLMHs） that increases certainty of global solution,an essential ingredient required in product conceptual design phase of aerospace *** empirical study is performed to evaluate the performance advan-tages of proposed approach over popular non-gradient based optimization *** of ASLV encompasses aerodynamics,propulsion,structure,stages layout,mass distribution,and trajectory modules connected by multidisciplinary feasible design *** approach formulates explicit system-level goals and then forwards the design optimization process entirely over to *** distinctive approach for launch vehicle system design relieves engineers from tedious,iterative task and en-ables them to improve their component level *** is an impetus on vehicle performance and cost,and so it is considered as the core of vehicle design ***,gross launch mass is to be minimized in HHA.

This paper presents an integrated fuzzy controller design approach to synchronize a dis- similar redundant actuation system of a hydraulic actuator （HA） and an electro-hydrostatic actu- ator （EHA） with system uncertainties and disturbances. The motion synchronous control system consists of a trajectory generator, an individual position controller for each actuator, and a fuzzy force tracking controller （FFTC） for both actuators. The trajectory generator provides the desired motion dynamics and designing parameters of the trajectory which are taken according to the dynamic characteristics of the EHA. The position controller consists of a feed-forward controller and a fuzzy position tracking controller （FPTC） and acts as a decoupled controller, improving posi- tion tracking performance with the help of the feed-forward controller and the FPTC. The FFTC acts as a coupled controller and takes into account the inherent coupling effect. The simulation results show that the proposed controller not only eliminates initial force fighting by synchronizing the two actuators, but also improves disturbance rejection performance.

Orbital angular momentum(OAM)technology,refers to Laguerre-Gaussian(LG)beams,twisted beams,vector/vortex beams,acoustic vortex beams and fractional vortex *** is an emerging and promising technology to improve the communication capacity,spectral efficiency,and anti-jamming capability due to its helical phase fronts and infinite orthogonal *** the OAM research began in the 1990s,the developing trends,current status,issues and characteristics through a systematic observation have not yet been *** paper presents a knowledge-based evolution of OAM research published in the Web of Science(WoS)from 2011 to 2021 using bibliometric analysis in *** results demonstrate that the bandwidth,efficiency,gain,divergence,phase quantization,bulky and complex feeding structures,misalignment,distortion,interferences atmospheric turbulence and diffraction were the key issues found in the OAM *** main research hotspots and categories,influential authors,leading journals,best institutions of OAM show a strong bias in favor of their functions and technology *** research on OAM was mainly performed by the counties that have developed the 5G and now moving towards 6G communications like China,USA and South *** study would serve as an inclusive guide on the future research trends and status especially for the OAM researchers.

Wind turbines are installed offshore with the assistance of a floating platform to help meet the world’s increasing energy ***,the incident wind and extra incident wave disturbances have an impact on the performance and operation of the floating offshore wind turbine(FOWT)in comparison to bottom-fixed wind *** this paper,model predictive control(MPC)is utilized to overcome the limitation caused by platform *** to the ease of control synthesis,the MPC is developed using a simplified model instead of high fidelity simulation *** performance of the controller is verified in the presence of realistic wind and wave *** study demonstrates the effectiveness of MPC in reducing platform motions and rotor/generator speed regulation of FOWTs.

Grain design is essentially filling a prescribed volume （chamber case） with a certain shape of propellant so as to ensure mission requirements. An infinite number of possibilities exist, covering from two dimensional to three dimensional grain designs. Accurate calculation of grain geometrical properties plays a vital role in performance prediction. In this paper a methodology has been presented for designing 3D grain configuration for Solid Rocket Motors （SRMs）. The design process involves parametric modeling of the geometry in CAD software through dynamic variables that define the complex configuration. Initial geometry is defined in the form of a surface which defines the grain configuration. Grain bum back is achieved by making new surfaces at each web increment and calculating geometrical properties at each step. Geometrical calculations are based on volume and change in volume calculations. Models for Axisymetric and Finocyl grain configuration have been developed. Equilibrium pressure method is used to calculate the internal ballistics. The procedure adopted can be applied to any complex geometry in a relatively simple way for preliminary designing of grain configuration.

Non-intrusive load monitoring is a method that disaggregates the overall energy consumption of a building to estimate the electric power usage and operating status of each appliance *** studies have mostly concentrated on the identification of high-power appliances like HVAC systems while overlooking the existence of low-power ***-power consumer appliances have comparable power consumption patterns,which can complicate the detection task and can be mistaken as *** research tackles the problem of classification of low-power appliances and uses turn-on current transients to extract novel features and develop unique appliance signatures.A hybrid feature extraction method based on mono-fractal and multi-fractal analysis is proposed for identifying low-power *** dimension,Hurst exponent,multifractal spectrum and the Hölder exponents of switching current transient signals are extracted to develop various‘turn-on’appliance signatures for *** classifiers,i.e.,deep neural network,support vector machine,decision trees,and K-nearest neighbours have been optimized using Bayesian optimization and trained using the extracted *** simulated results showed that the proposed method consistently outperforms state-of-the-art feature extraction methods across all optimized classifiers,achieving an accuracy of up to 96%in classifying low-power appliances.

The aerodynamic design of a strategic weapon is of interest, especially when the radar signatures are included in the conceptual design phase. The basics of stealth configurations and stealth mechanisms for missiles are reviewed. The Radar Cross Sections （RCS） of some generic missiles are predicted and compared to analyze the trade-offs involved between low RCS and aerodynamic performance. The consideration of RCS prediction in the conceptual design phase gives a quick insight into the stealth performance prior to detailed design.

This paper aims to investigate the tragacanth gum potential as a natural polymer combined with natural clay mineral(montmorillonite,kaolinite,and illite)nanoparticles(NPs)to form NP-polymer suspension for enhanced oil recovery(EOR)in carbonate *** gravimetric analysis(TGA)tests were conducted initially in order to evaluate the properties of tragacanth ***,scanning electron microscopy(SEM)and energy-dispersive X-ray(EDX)tests were used to detect the structure of clay *** various scenarios,the effects of natural NPs and polymer on the wettability alteration,interfacial tension(IFT)reduction,viscosity improvement,and oil recovery were investigated through contact angle system,ring method,Anton Paar viscometer,and core flooding tests,*** entire experiment was conducted at 25,50,and 75℃,*** to the experimental results,the clay minerals alone did not have a significant effect on viscosity,but the addition of minerals to the polymer solution leads to the viscosity enhancement remarkably,resulting mobility ratio *** clay NPs,the combination of natural polymer and kaolinite results in increased viscosity at all *** wettability alteration was also observed in the case of natural polymer and illite *** in combination with natural polymer showed an ability in reducing ***,the results of displacement experiments revealed that the combination of natural polymer and kaolinite could be the best option for EOR due to its substantial ability to improve the recovery factor.
