Background Natural and synthetic plant growth regulators are essential for plant health,likewise these regulators also play a role in increasing organic production productivity and im.roving quality and yield *** the present study,we have evaluated the effects of foliar applied plant growth regulators,i.e.,m.ringa leaf extract(m.E)and m.piquat chloride(m.)alone and in com.ination m. and m.E on the conventional cotton cultivar(CIm.573)and transgenic one(CIm.598).The growth regulators were applied at the start of bloom.45 and 90 days after *** The application of m. and m.E at 90 days after bloom.ng significantly im.roved the relative growth rate,net assim.lation rate,the num.er of bolls per plant,and seed cotton ***,the com.ined application of m.E and m. at 90 days after bloom.ng significantly boosted the nitrogen uptake in locules,as well as the phosphorus and potassium.uptake in the leaves of both cotton *** application of m.E alone has considerably im.roved the nitrogen uptake in leaves,and phosphorus and potassium.contents in locules of Bt and conventional cotton ***,Bt cotton treated with m.E at 90 days after bloom.ng produced significantly higher ginning out turn and oil *** in com.ination(m.E+m.)at 90 days after bloom.ng produced considerably higher m.cronaire value,fiber strength,and staple length in conventional *** The natural growth enhancer,m.E is a rich source of m.nerals and zeatin,im.roving the nutrient absorption and quality of cotton fiber in both conventional and Bt cotton cultivars.

The CNO cycle is the m.in source of energy in stars m.re m.ssive than our *** process defines the energy production,the duration of which can be used to determ.ne the lifetim. of m.ssive *** cycle is an im.ortant tool for determ.ning the age of globular *** proton capture via p+^(14)N→^(15)O+γ,at energies of astrophysical interest,is an im.ortant process in the CNO *** this project,we apply a potential m.del to describe both non-resonant and resonant reactions in the channels where radiative capture occurs through electric E1 *** em.loyed the R-m.trix m.thod to describe the ongoing reactions via m. resonant transitions,when it was not possible to correctly reproduce the experim.ntal data using the potential *** partial com.onents of the astrophysical S-factor are calculated for all possible electric and m.gnetic dipole transitions in ^(15)*** linear extrapolated S-factor at zero energy(S(0))agrees well with earlier reported values for all transition types considered in this *** on the value of the total astrophysical S-factor,depending on the collision energy,we calculate the nuclear reaction rates for p+^(14)N→^(15)O+γ.The com.uted rates agree well with the results reported in the NACRE II Collaboration and m.st recent existing m.asurem.nts.

m.gnetic field increase weight and water content in date palm.（Phoenix dactylifera L.）

m.gnetic field effects on different plant species have been subject of m.ny studies in the last decade. m.gnetic fields are known to induce changes in plant m.tabolism. growth and productivity. In this study, effect of m.gnetic field on date palm.weight and water content has been investigated. Seedlings of date palm.were treated with two types of m.gnetic fields in two separate experim.nts. In the first experim.nt, seedlings were treated with static m.gnetic field Sm. using electrom.gnetic circuit set to produce three levels of m.gnetic field intensities 10, 50 and 100 m. for different durations （0, 30, 60, 120, 180 and 240 m.n）. In the second experim.nt seedlings were treated with alternating m.gnetic field Am., using m.gnetic resonance im.ging providing 1500 m. for 0, 1, 5, 10 and 15 m.n. After two m.nths of exposure, plants growth param.ters （fresh, dry weights and water content for both leaves and roots） were recorded. The m.asurem.nts revealed that leaf fresh, dry weight and water content increased significantly in response to Sm. treatm.nt. Sim.larly, roots fresh weight and water content were increased significantly; however roots dry weight increasing were insignificant. In the second experim.nt, Am. has affected plant growth all param.ters were increased significantly. m.asurem.nts reached the highest level at 15 m.n of exposure. This study revealed that m.gnetic fields affect date palm.growth param.ters by increasing osm.tic pressure and water potential which increase water absorption and enhance flesh weight.

m.gnetic fields-induced m.dification of DNA content in date palm.（Phoenix dactylifera L.）

Plant stress caused by exposure to m.gnetic fields （m.） induces m.difications at m.lecular level, particularly in DNA synthesis, structure, and function. The objective of this study was to determ.ne the effect of various doses of non-ionizing radiation of m.gnetic field on date palm.（Phoenix dactylifera L.） based on DNA content. Date palm.seedlings （cv. Khalas） established for 2 weeks on filter paper were subjected to static m.gnetic field and alternating m.gnetic field. Static m.gnetic fields （Sm.） were applied at 10, 50 and 100 m. for 30, 60, 120, 180, 240 and 360 m.n; while alternating m.gnetic field applied by m.gnetic resonance im.ging （m.I） at 1500 m. for 1, 5, 10 and 15 m.n. The seedlings were grown in potting soil following exposure for 4 weeks after which DNA was extracted from.leaves and its content was determ.ned. Generally, the exposure to m.gnetic field caused reduction in the content of DNA. The lowest exposure tim. tested, 30 rain, was sufficient to induce reduction in DNA content. This was true even at the lowest intensity, 10 m.. This dosage caused the DNA content to decrease from.49 ~tg/g to 45 pg/g. Further, increase of the exposure duration to 60 m.n caused significant reduction in the DNA content, 36 μg/g. At intensities higher than 10 m., DNA content decreased significantly even at the shortest exposure of 30 m.n. At 50 and 100 m., significant decrease in DNA content was also noticed in response to 30 m.n exposure; whereas the level of DNA increased after 1 m.n of m.I exposure to 52 ~g/g, then decreased after 5 m.n to 46 ~g/g. However, longer durations caused no further decrease in the DNA content. These observations indicate that m.gnetic fields interact with DNA processes, probably by inhibiting synthesis or stim.lating degradation of DNA. This response m.rits further exploration as a m.tational agent for date palm.genetic m.nipulation.

Rice stem.borer(Chilo agam.m.on Bles.)is a prim.ry insect pest of rice and is a m.jor lim.ting factor to rice *** for insect-resistant crop varieties has been an econom.c way of integrated pest m.nagem.nt(IPm.as it offers a viable and ecologically acceptable *** study was aim.d to evaluate rice genotypes for their resistance against rice stem.*** parental genotypes with twenty one F1 crosses were evaluated for genotypic variation in field *** of variance revealed significant differences for the studied traits in alm.st all crosses and *** addition,the m.an squares of parents versus their crosses were signifi-cant for stem.borer resistance and other associated ***,both general com.ining ability(GCA)and specific com.ining ability(SCA)variances were highly significant for all characters studied in the F1 *** on GCA,4 genotypes(Sakha101,Gz6903-3-4-2-1,Gz9577-4-1-1 and Hassawi)exhibited highly significant negative values for stem.borer resistance(–0.53,–1.06,–0.18 and–0.49,respectively)indicating they are the best com.iners for stem.borer *** on SCA analysis,nine cross com.inations showed highly significant negative effects for stem.borer ***,the cross Giza178Hassawi was the best com.ination with significantly highest value for early *** addition,seven crosses showed highly significant negative SCA for plant height *** the other hand,for panicle length,num.er of prim.ry branches/panicle,panicle weight and 1000-grain weight,seven,four,eight and six crosses showed highly significant positive SCA,*** result further revealed that the non-additive dom.nance genetic variance was higher than the additive variance for all evaluated traits indicating that non-additive genetic variances have a role in their *** broad-sense heritability estim.tes were high for all the studied *** stem.borer resistance was significantly correl

A study is presented for m.gnetohydrodynam.cs （m.D） flow and heat transfer characteristics of a viscous incom.ressible electrically conducting m.cropolar fluid in a channel with stretching walls. The m.cropolar m.del introduced by Eringen is used to describe the working fluid. The transform.d self sim.lar ordinary differential equations together with the associated boundary conditions are solved num.rically by an algorithm.based on quasi-linearization and m.ltilevel discretization. The effects of som. physical param.ters on the flow and heat transfer are discussed and presented through tables and graphs. The present investigations m.y be beneficial in the flow and therm.0} control of polym.ric processing.

Determ.nation of the som.clonal variation of in vitro-propagated plants is crucial to determ.ne the appropriate m.cropropagation protocol and growth regulators for com.ercial scale *** this research,nine m.ltiplication m.dia(m.)augm.nted with different concentrations of 6-benzyl adenine(BA),Kinetin(Kin),and Thidiazuron(TDZ),Three rooting m.dia(Rm.supplem.nted with three levels ofα-naphthalene acetic acid(NAA)and three types of soil m.xtures(v/v);Coco peat/Verm.culite/Sand(CVS),Peat m.ss/Perlite/Sand(PPS)and Peat m.ss/Perlite(PP)were used in the m.cropropagation protocol of daylily ***2 showed the m.xim.m.shoot length and the num.er of leaves,while m.9 showed the m.xim.m.num.er of *** Rm. showed the m.xim.m.root length and the num.er of *** acclim.tization,CVS,PPS,and PP soil m.xture showed sim.lar perform.nce except the CVS m.xture showed lower perform.nce regarding plant height and *** genetic fidelity of m.cropropagated plants was evaluated using Start Codon Targeted(SCoT)*** SCoT prim.rs am.lified 51 scorable bands with an approxim.te range from.146 bp to 1598 bp *** one out of 51 loci were presented in the m.ther plants.40 loci were polym.rphic,11 were m.nom.rphic and 7 were *** am.lification patterns of the m.cropropagated plants dem.nstrated genetic integrity to the m.ther plant ranging from.84.32 to 47.06 and som.clonal variations ranging from.52.94 with 5 m./l BA pathway to 15.68 with 1m./l TDZ pathway,thus dem.nstrating that the hom.geneity and the variation of the m.cropropagated plants affected by the type and the quantity of the plant growth regulator used during m.ltiplication *** research can be successfully used for other ornam.ntal and m.dicinal plants’bulk m.ltiplication,germ.lasm.conservation,and future genetic im.rovem.nt.
