Objective:To characterize the genetic structure of various populations of Culex quinquefasciatus (***) from India representing different geoclimatic ***:Inter simple sequence repeat(ISSR) markers were used.A set of 20 primers were screened with the laboratory populations of mosquito *** the IS 40 primer was chosen based on the scorable banding pattern showing 100 percent polymorphism among the various *** statistical analysis was done using POPGENE 1.31 *** consensus tree was generated based on UPGMA modified from NEIGHBOR procedure of PHYLIP Version ***:The cluster analysis shows the main cluster which is divided into two sub cluster representing all the populations separated as per their phylogeographic and geoclimatic ***: The findings will be helpful in understanding the population variation under different ecological conditions and development of effective vector management strategies.

BACKGROUND & OBJECTIVES:In recent years, emerging transcatheter aortic valve implantation (TAVI) has become an alternative for surgery。 However, with advanced age, several co-morbid factors together with contrast agent usage can cause deterioration in renal function and increase in the risk of acute kidney injury (akI) with poor prognosis in patients with akI。 Therefore, many patients cannot benefit from this treatment。 In this study, we aim to examine the effects of TAVI on renal functions。 METHODS AND RESULTS: Seventy patients, mean age of 77.6 years, underwent TAVI between July 2011 and December 2012。 Estimated glomerular filtration rate (eGFR) was calculated by using the Cockcroft and Gault Formula。 Patients were monitored for 48 h for urine output。 Stage 1 akI, according to the VARC-2 akIN system, developed in only five (7.1%) of the patients after the procedure。 There was a statistically significant increase between the mean 1(st) month eGFRs before (68。2 vs。 61.0, P akI (P akI developing patients and this difference - though statistically not significant - continued into the sixth month。 CONCLUSIONS: In this study, we showed that the treatment of aortic stenosis through TAVI allows improvement of renal functions, and that akI rates will be lower with careful patient selection, proper pre-procedural hydration, and careful use of contrast agent。

the basis of available publications.A total of 103 species belonging to 15 genera of cercosporoid fungi have been reported from Himachal Pradesh on 118 plant species belonging to 46 *** species richness of cercosporoid fungi in the region was as follows;Cercospora(50),Pseudocercospora(23),Ramularia and Passalora(7 each),Stigmina&Mycosphaerella(3 each),Sirosporium(2),Cercosporella,Distomycovellosiella and Mycovellosiella,Neocercosporidium,Neopseudocercosporella,Nothopassalora,Rosisphaerella&Teratosphaeria(1 each).The highest numbers of cercosporoid fungi were recorded on plant hosts of the family Solanaceae(12 species)followed by Fabaceae(10 species),Asteraceae and Rosaceae(8 species each),Amaranthaceae(5 species),Malvaceae and Smilaceae(4 species each),Acanthaceae,Poaceae,Polygonaceae and Ranunculaceae(3 species each),while the rest of families were found associated with 1-2 cercosporoid speices.

The approximate analytical solutions of the Dirac equation with the Poeschl-Teller potential is presented for arbitrary spin-orbit quantum number κ within the framework of the spin symmetry concept. The energy eigenvalues and the corresponding two Dirac spinors are obtained approximately in closed forms. The limiting cases of the energy eigenvalues and the two Dirac spinors are briefly discussed.

Objective:To study risk factors,contributing factors of bacterial and fungal endophthalmitis in Upper Egypt,test the isolated species sensitive to some therapeutic agents,and to investigate the air-borne bacteria and fungi in opthalmology operating ***:Thirty one cases of endophthalmitis were clinically diagnosed and microbiologically *** air-borne bacteria and fungi inside four air-conditioned operating rooms in the Ophthalmology Department at Assiut University Hospitals were also *** isolated microbes from endophthalmitis cases were tested for their ability to produce some extracellular enzymes including protease,lipase,urease,phosphatase and *** the ability of 5 fungal isolates from endophthalmitis origin to produce mycotoxins and their sensitivity to some therapeutic agents were ***:Results showed that bacteria and fungi were responsible for infection in 10 and 6 cases of endophthalmitis,respectively and only 2 cases produced a mixture of bacteria and *** was the most prevalent risk factor of endophthalmitis where 58.1%of the 31 cases were due to *** ophthalmology operating rooms,different bacterial and fungal species were isolated.8 bacterial and 5 fungal isolates showed their ability to produce enzymes while only 3 fungal isolates were able to produce *** showed the highest effect against most isolates in ***:The ability of bacterial and fungal isolates to produce extracellular enzymes and mycotoxins may be aid in the invasion and destruction of eye tissues. Microbial contamination of operating rooms with air-borne bacteria and fungi in the present work may be a source of postoperative endophthalmitis.

BACKGROUND： Predicting the outcome of stroke during the acute phase is difficult. Accurate methods for predicting outcomes could assist clinicians and families to make correct decisions in resource-poor environments. OBJECTIVE： To determine thyroid hormone levels in patients with ischemic or hemorrhagic stroke at the early stage, and to investigate its correlation with stroke prognosis. DESIGN, TIME AND SETTING： A comparative, observational study was performed at the Department of Emergency, Tertiary-care University Affiliated Hospital from January 2004 to January 2006. PARTICIPANTS： A total of 113 patients presenting to the Emergency Department within 3 hours of stroke symptom onset were approached for enrollment in the study. The patients were diagnosed by computer tomography examination, and comprised 87 ischemic stroke and 26 hemorrhagic stroke patients. METHODS： Following a thorough history and examination by emergency physicians, venous blood samples were collected from each patient. Thyroid-stimulating hormone （TSH）, free triiodothyronine （free T3）, and free thyroxine （free T4） levels were measured using a chemiluminescence method. The nerve function of patients was evaluated with Glasgow Coma Scale （GCS） score, and the patients were accordingly assigned to two subgroups-mild stroke （GCS ≥ 9） and severe stroke （GCS ≤ 8）. MAIN OUTCOME MEASURES： Blood levels of TSH, free T3 and free T4; mortality at 7 days. RESULTS： Mean TSH values in hemorrhagic stroke patients with GCS ≤ 8 were significantly greater than those in ischemic stroke patients with GCS ≤ 8 and GCS ≥ 9 （P 〈 0.05）. Compared with patients who survived, the highest TSH levels were detected in patients that had died within 7 days. Correlation analysis results revealed a significant negative relationship between GCS values and TSH levels in patients with hemorrhagic stroke （r= 0.552, P〈 0.01）, and no correlation was determined between GCS values and TSH levels in patients with ischemic stroke （r = 0.239,

Psychoacoustic parameters are mostly used for determining the sound quality of mechanical *** have also started to be used for evaluating soundscapes of open areas and enclosed *** research aims to find out the relationship between the psychoacoustic parameters and acoustic comfort in non-acoustic enclosed public spaces,specifically in eating *** on-site measurements and laboratory listening tests were conducted for five eating *** on-site measurements,a simultaneous questionnaire study was also carried *** and objective data were comparatively *** tests were based on auralizations with calibrated simulation *** provided a research model,that allows control over the acoustic environment without having to make real changes in the physical elements of the eating *** auralization sound files were presented to listening test participants with headphones and they evaluated soundscapes with different psychoacoustic *** results,better acoustic comfort was found to be related with higher sharpness,lower reverberation time,lower loudness and lower roughness values for the examined parameter ranges.
