BACKGRoUND Bone lesions can present the multi-displinary team with a challenge by way of diagnosis as some lesions share many radiological and histological *** cell tumours of the bone(GCTB)are relatively common,benign bone *** bone cysts(ABC)are less common benign osteolytic lesions that are histologically similar to GCTBs but produce blood filled *** GCTBs and ABCs are locally aggressive and are typically found on meta-epiphyseal regions of long bones with pelvic tumours being less *** SUMMARY A 17-year old female presented with atraumatic right groin pain and was initially diagnosed with a GCTB on the right superior pubic ramus of the *** patient was treated successfully with a wide excision,curettage and bone graft and underwent open reduction and internal fixation of the right *** further intra-operative histological investigations,the lesion was diagnosed as an *** This patient has had an uncomplicated post-operative course,has returned to comfortable weight bearing and will be reviewed for minimum 5 yr in the outpatient setting to monitor for reoccurrence.

This research project explores how China’s soft power influence,or story,attempts to connect with domestic and overseas *** doing so,it answers the question,“Assess depictions of ‘China’s story’ from articles published by ABC News Australia and People’s Daily”.A mixed methods approach was taken to conduct the study,with qualitative case study analysis supported by quantitative content *** two cases selected for the study focused on Australia’s decision to ban China’s leading telecommunications manufacturer,Huawei,from establishing a 5G network within Australia;and the Victorian state government’s decision to sign a Memorandum of Understanding（Mo U）with the Chinese Government and join the Belt and Road Initiative（BRI）.The online segments of two national print publications,China’s the People’s Daily and Australia’s Australian Broadcasting Corporation（ABC）,were chosen as primary sources for this *** such,this thesis examines what traditional media shows about China’s soft power influence within *** project was conducted against the backdrop of the era of heightened globalisation where national publications are now accessible internationally,in addition to modern China’s exponential rise,which has simultaneously bolstered China’s economic ties in the Southeast Asia and Pacific regions and heightened the suspicions of China’s more politically liberal ***’s soft power influence has been identified as one tool that it may use to alleviate diplomatic tensions and strengthen its relationships with its geographical *** way that Chinese,and Australian,media publications depict ‘China’s story’ serves as a microcosm for understanding China’s larger quest to accumulate soft power influence internationally.

BACKGRoUND There is an intimate crosstalk between cancer formation,dissemination,treatment response and the host immune system,with inducing tumour cell death the ultimate therapeutic goal for most anti-cancer ***,inducing a purposeful synergistic response between conventional therapies and the immune system remains *** release of damage associated molecular patterns(DAMPs)is indicative of immunogenic cell death and propagation of established immune ***,there is a gap in the literature regarding the importance of DAMP expression in oesophageal adenocarcinoma(oAC)or by immune cells *** To investigate the effects of conventional therapies on DAMP expression and to determine whether oAC is an immunogenic *** We investigated the levels of immunogenic cell death-associated DAMPs,calreticulin(CRT)and HMGB1 using an oAC isogenic model of *** expression was also assessed directly using ex vivo cancer patient T cells(n=10)and within tumour biopsies(n=9)both pre and post-treatment with clinically relevant chemo(radio)*** Hypoxia in combination with nutrient deprivation significantly reduces DAMP expression by oAC cells in *** increased frequencies of T cell DAMP expression in oAC patients were observed following chemo-(radio)therapy,which was significantly higher in tumour tissue compared with peripheral *** with high expression of HMGB1 had a significantly better tumour regression grade(TRG 1-2)compared to low *** In conclusion,oAC expresses an immunogenic phenotype with two distinct subgroups of high and low DAMP expressors,which correlated with tumour regression grade and lymphatic *** also identifies DAMPs namely CRT and HMGB1 as potential promising biomarkers in predicting good pathological responses to conventional chemo(radio)therapies currently used in the multimodal management of locally advanced disease.

The sentinel lymph node biopsy(SLNB) was initially pioneered for staging melanoma in 1994 and it has been subsequently validated by several trials, and has become the new standard of care for patients with clinically node negative invasive breast cancer. The focussed examination of fewer lymph nodes in addition to improvements in histopathological and molecular analysis has increased the rate at which micrometastases and isolated tumour cells are identified. In this article we review the literature regarding the optimal management of the axilla when the SLNB is positive for metastatic disease based on level 1 evidence derived from randomised clinical trials.

Dear Editor,The molecular determinants that drive breast cancer progression to metastasis are complex and partly controlled by nucleic acid epi-modifications[1].Although DNA-methyl modifications in breast cancer metastasis have been well described,there is limited understanding of the role of RNA methylation in advanced disease[2].This study aimed to provide an understanding on the role of the epitranscriptome in estrogen receptor-positive(ER+)breast cancer progression to metastasis.
