Reinforced tissue matrix to strengthen the abdominal wall following reversal of temporary ostomies or to treat incisional hernias

BACKGROUND Abdominal wall deficiencies or weakness are a common complication of tem-porary ostomies,and incisional hernias frequently develop after colostomy or ileostomy *** use of synthetic meshes to reinforce the abdominal wall has reduced hernia *** meshes have also been used to enhance healing,particularly in contaminated *** tissue matrices(R-TMs),which include a biologic scaffold of native extracellular matrix and a syn-thetic component for added strength/durability,are designed to take advantage of aspects of both synthetic and biologic *** date,RTMs have not been reported to reinforce the abdominal wall following stoma *** Twenty-eight patients were selected with a parastomal and/or incisional hernia who had received a temporary ileostomy or colostomy for fecal diversion after rectal cancer treatment or *** hernia repair and proximal stoma closure,RTM(OviTex®1S permanent or OviTex®LpR)was placed to reinforce the abdominal wall using a laparoscopic,robotic,or open surgical ***-operative follow-up was performed at 1 month and 1 *** recurrence was determined by physical examination and,when necessary,via computed tomo-graphy *** endpoints included length of hospital stay,time to return to work,and hospital *** complications of the wound/repair site included presence of surgical site infection,seroma,hematoma,wound dehiscence,or fistula *** The observational study cohort included 16 male and 12 female patients with average age of 58.5 years±16.3 years and average body mass index of 26.2 kg/m^(2)±4.1 kg/m^(2).patients presented with a parastomal hernia(75.0%),in-cisional hernia(14.3%),or combined parastomal/incisional hernia(10.7%).Using a laparoscopic(53.6%),robotic(35.7%),or open(10.7%)technique,RTMs(OviTex®LpR:82.1%,OviTex®1S:17.9%)were placed using sublay(82.1%)or intraperitoneal onlay(IpOM;17.9%)mesh *** 1-mo

One parabolic p-Laplacian-like differential equation with mixed boundaries is au/at in the corresponding studies is replaced by a（au/at）, studied in this paper, where the item au/at which makes it more general. The sufficient condition of the existence and uniqueness of non-trivial solution in L2（O, T; L2 （Ω）） is presented by employing the techniques of splitting the boundary problems into operator equation. Compared to the corresponding work, the restrictions imposed on the equation are weaken and the proof technique is simplified. It can be regarded as the extension and complement of the previous work.

By applying the standard fixed point theorems,we prove the existence and uniqueness results for a system of coupled differential equations involving both left Caputo and right Riemann-Liouville fractional derivatives and mixed fractional integrals,supplemented with nonlocal coupled fractional integral boundary *** example is also constructed for the illustration of the obtained results.

FDTD technique based crosstalk analysis of bundled SWCNT interconnects

The equivalent electrical circuit model of a bundled single-walled carbon nanotube based distributed RLC interconnects is employed for the crosstalk analysis. The accurate time domain analysis and crosstalk effect in the VLSI interconnect has emerged as an essential design criteria. This paper presents a brief description of the numerical method based finite difference time domain （FDTD） technique that is intended for estimation of voltages and currents on coupled transmission lines. For the FDTD implementation, the stability of the proposed model is strictly restricted by the Courant condition. This method is used for the estimation of crosstalk induced propagation delay and peak voltage in lossy RLC interconnects. Both functional and dynamic crosstalk effects are analyzed in the coupled transmission line. The effect of line resistance on crosstalk induced delay, and peak voltage under dynamic and functional crosstalk is also evaluated. The FDTD analysis and the SpICE simulations are carried out at 32 nm technology node for the global interconnects. It is observed that the analytical results obtained using the FDTD technique are in good agreement with the SpICE simulation results. The crosstalk induced delay, propagation delay, and peak voltage obtained using the FDTD technique shows average errors of 4.9%, 3.4% and 0.46%, respectively, in comparison to SpICE.

By employing the generalized Riccati transformation technique,we will establish some new oscillation criteria and study the asymptotic behavior of the nonoscillatory solutions of the second-order nonlinear neutral delay dynamic equation [r(t)[y(t)+p(t)y(■(t))]~Δ]~Δ+q(t)f(y((δ(t)))=0 on a time scale■.The results improve some oscillation results for neutral delay dynamic equations and in the special case when■our results cover and improve the oscillation results for second- order neutral delay differential equations established by Li and Liu[***.,48(1996), 871 886].When■,our results cover and improve the oscillation results for second order neutral delay difference equations established by Li and Yeh[***.,36(1998),123-132].When ■ ■our results are essentially *** examples illustrating our main results are given.
