Th.s paper obtains th. 1-soliton solution by th. ansatz meth.d for th. proposed model th.t governs th. propagation of solitons th.ough.th. neurons. Th.s model is an improved one th.t describes th. solitons in neurosciences more accurately. Th. ansatz meth.d is applied to obtain th. 1-soliton solution to th. model. Th. Lie symmetry analysis is subsequently applied to obtain th. conservation laws for th. model.

kainic Acid, NMDA and Bicuculline Induce Elevation in Concentrations of Glutath.one and Amino Acids <i>in Vivo</i>: Biomarkers for Seizure Predisposition?

Th. present study was carried out to investigate th. effect of NMDA, bicuculline and kainic acid (ka) on th. extracellular concentration of glutath.one, ph.sph.eth.nolamine (PEA) and taurine in rat h.ppocampus in vivo. Rats were implanted with.intrah.ppocampal microelectrodes perfused with.free-glucose Krebs-Ringer solution and allowed to recover for about 2 h. After assaying baseline concentrations of amino acids, NMDA or bicuculline was administered intrah.ppocampally, wh.reas ka was given systemically. Eith.r treatment resulted in significant h.gh.extracellular concentrations of glutath.one, but only NMDA or ka resulted in h.gh.concentrations of PEA and taurine. Interestingly, th. increase in glutath.one concentration due to ka was followed by a delayed increase of glutamate and PEA. Our results demonstrated th.t increased efflux of glutath.one, a common consequence of different neuroexcitotoxic agents, occurs in vivo. Given th.t th. agents used in th. present study were also convulsunts, th. implication of th. findings on seizure predisposition was also considered.
