A first-order coalition logic for BDI-agents

＜正＞This work is based on the performance comparison of Range （R）, CuSum and EWMA control charts for monitoring the process variability. When monitoring the process it is important to quickly detect increase and decrease in variability. If the variance of the process increases, it is possible that an increased number of units will be defective. Therefore, in this paper we consider only increase in the process variability. These three types of control charts are used to detect the changes in process parameters. Therefore, the object of this research work is to find out which of these three charts provides better performance （more efficient） in order to detect the changes in the increase of process standard deviation for Six-Sigma quality control. The Range （R）, CuSum and EWMA control charts were used to determine the average run length （ARL） to detect out of control condition. The ARL found by these three charts and was compared to each other. It was observed that the performance of the CuSum and EWMA control charts for monitoring the process variability were appreciably better than the performance of R-chart when small shifts of interest. The CuSum and EWMA control charts are more efficient to detect the small shifts in the process dispersion at the order of shift level below than 1.5. While, if the larger shifts are considered （shifts in the process dispersion more than1 .5）, the R-chart was the most effective.

Coalition logic （CL） enables us to model the strategic abilities and specify what a group of agents can achieve whatever the other agents do. However, some rational mental attitudes of the agents are beyond the scope of CL such as the prestigious beliefs, desires and intentions （BDI） which is an interesting and useful epistemic notion and has spawned substantial amount of studies in multi-agent systems. In this paper, we introduce a first-order coalition BDI （FCBDI） logic for multi-agent systems, which provides a semantic glue that allows the formal embedding and interaction of BDI, coalition and temporal operators in a first-order language. We further introduce a semantic model based on the interpreted system model and present an axiomatic system that is proved sound and complete with respect to the semantics. Finally, it is shown that the computational complexity of its model checking in finite structures is PSPACE-complete.

The past two decades have witnessed a surge of interest in exploring correlation and coherence measures to investigate quantum phase transitions(QPTs). Here, motivated by the continued push along this direction, we propose a measure which is built upon the so-called degree of coherence, and advocate using the susceptibility of our measure to detect QPTs. We show that our measure can capture both the notions of coherence and correlations exhibited in bipartite states and therefore represents a hybrid of these two notions. Through examining the XXZ model and the Kitaev honeycomb model, we demonstrate that our measure is favorable for detecting QPTs in comparison to many previous proposals.

Microbial fuel cells(MFCs)are innovative devices that combine microbial processes with electrochemical reactions to convert organic matter in wastewater into electricity while simultaneously treating the *** such application is the treatment of spent wash,a highly polluting effluent generated from the distillery industry after crude mesh is separated into ethanol and spent *** wash,also known as distillery effluent or stillage,is a highly challenging wastewater treatment method due to its high chemical oxygen demand(COD),biological oxygen demand(BOD),and total dissolved solids(TDS).These characteristics make it a complex and polluting industrial effluent that requires specialized treatment processes to reduce its environmental impact ***,MFCs have shown promise in treating spent wash,as they can utilize the organic matter in wastewater as a fuel source for microbial growth as well as for electricity *** the treatment of spent wash,Saccharomyces cerevisiae *** used as a biocatalyst along with 340 mol/L potassium ferricyanide in the cathode chamber and 170 mol/L methylene blue in the anode as a *** tests were conducted by balancing a one-liter volume for power production from spent wash in MFC with the optimal conditions of 10%agarose,pH 8.5,300 mL/min of aeration in the cathode chamber,and 40%(in weight)substrate *** an ideal concentration,the maximum current and power density are roughly 53.41 mA/m^(2)and 72.22 mW/m^(2),*** each litre of processed spent wash,a maximum voltage of 850 mV(4.5 mA)was ***,91%of COD and BOD were removed from the effluent *** findings show that MFCs are capable of producing electricity and efficiently removing COD from wasted wash at the same time.

This paper introduces a new methodology for epistemic logic, to analyze communication protocols that uses knowledge structures, a specific form of Kripke semantics over hostile networks. The paper particularly focuses on automatic verification of authentication protocols. Our approach is based on the actual definitions of a protocol, not on some difficultto-establish justifications. The proposed methodology is different from many previous approaches to automatic verification of security protocols in that it is justification-oriented instead of falsification-oriented, i.e., finding bugs in a protocol. The main idea is based on observations： separating a principal executing a run of protocol from the role in the protocol, and inferring a principal＇s knowledge from the local observations of the principal. And we show analytically and empirically that this model can be easily reduced to Satisfiability （SAT） problem and efficiently implemented by a modern SAT solver.

The band structure, magnetism, charge distribution, and optics parameters of TMO3–h-BN hybrid systems are investigated by adopting first-principles study(FPS) calculations. It is observed that the TMO3 clusters add finite magnetic moments to bilayer h-BN(BL/h-BN), thereby making it a magnetic two-dimensional(2D) material. Spin-polarized band structures for various TMO3–BL/h-BN hybrid models are calculated. After the incorporation of TMO3, BL/h-BN is converted into semimetal or conducting material in spin up/down bands, depending on the type of impurity cluster present in BL/h-BN lattice. Optics parameters are also investigated for the TMO3–BL/h-BN complex systems. The incorporation of TMO3 clusters modifies the absorption and extinction coefficient in visible range, while static reflectivity and refraction parameter increase. It can be surmised that the TMO3 substitution in BL/h-BN is a suitable technique to modify its physical parameters thus making it functional for nano/opto-electronic applications, and an experimental approach can be adapted to reinforce the outcomes of this study.

Every application in a smart city environment like the smart grid,health monitoring, security, and surveillance generates non-stationary datastreams. Due to such nature, the statistical properties of data changes overtime, leading to class imbalance and concept drift issues. Both these issuescause model performance degradation. Most of the current work has beenfocused on developing an ensemble strategy by training a new classifier on thelatest data to resolve the issue. These techniques suffer while training the newclassifier if the data is imbalanced. Also, the class imbalance ratio may changegreatly from one input stream to another, making the problem more *** existing solutions proposed for addressing the combined issue of classimbalance and concept drift are lacking in understating of correlation of oneproblem with the other. This work studies the association between conceptdrift and class imbalance ratio and then demonstrates how changes in classimbalance ratio along with concept drift affect the classifier’s *** analyzed the effect of both the issues on minority and majority classesindividually. To do this, we conducted experiments on benchmark datasetsusing state-of-the-art classifiers especially designed for data stream ***, recall, F1 score, and geometric mean were used to measure theperformance. Our findings show that when both class imbalance and conceptdrift problems occur together the performance can decrease up to 15%. Ourresults also show that the increase in the imbalance ratio can cause a 10% to15% decrease in the precision scores of both minority and majority *** study findings may help in designing intelligent and adaptive solutionsthat can cope with the challenges of non-stationary data streams like conceptdrift and class imbalance.

In this paper,the site-specific impact of climate change on sediment yield has been assessed for the Naran watershed,*** data has been gathered for period 1961-2010 and HaDCM3 GCM predictors of SRES scenarios A2 and B2 have been *** precipitation and temperature time series have been statistically downscaled for time horizon 2011-2040 and *** data show both increasing and decreasing changes with respect to the *** sediment yield for future related to climate change has been *** results show that the both snowy and monsoon seasonal stream discharges are expected to *** will lead to increase in annual suspended sediment ***-wise,a less discharge and more sediment yield are expected during the early *** study concluded that the climate change and variability are influencing the watershed,and suspended sediment yield is likely to increase in the future.
