Abnormalities of the gastrointestinal tract are widespread worldwide ***,an effective way to diagnose these life-threatening diseases is based on endoscopy,which comprises a vast number of ***,the main challenge in this area is that the process is time-consuming and fatiguing for a gastroenterologist to examine every image in the ***,this led to the rise of studies on designingAI-based systems to assist physicians in the *** several medical imaging tasks,deep learning methods,especially convolutional neural networks(CNNs),have contributed to the stateof-the-art outcomes,where the complicated nonlinear relation between target classes and data can be learned and not limit to hand-crafted *** the other hand,hyperparameters are commonly set manually,which may take a long time and leave the risk of non-optimal hyperparameters for *** effective tool for tuning optimal hyperparameters of deep CNNis Bayesian ***,due to the complexity of the CNN,the network can be regarded as a black-box model where the information stored within it is hard to ***,Explainable Artificial Intelligence(XAI)techniques are applied to overcome this issue by interpreting the decisions of the CNNs in such wise the physicians can *** play an essential role in real-time medical diagnosis,CNN-based models need to be accurate and interpretable,while the uncertainty must be ***,a novel method comprising of three phases is proposed to classify these life-threatening *** first,hyperparameter tuning is performed using Bayesian optimization for two state-of-the-art deep CNNs,and then Darknet53 and InceptionV3 features are extracted from these fine-tunned ***,XAI techniques are used to interpret which part of the images CNN takes for feature *** last,the features are fused,and uncertainties are handled by selecting entropybased *** experimental results show that the

Cirrhosis due to any etiology disrupts the homeostatic role of liver in the ***-associated immune dysfunction leads to alterations in both innate and acquired immunity,due to defects in the local immunity of liver as well as in systemic ***-associated immune dysfunction is a dynamic phenomenon,comprised of both increased systemic inflammation and immunodeficiency,and is responsible for 30%*** also plays an important role in acute as well as chronic *** paralysis can accompany it,which is characterized by increase in antiinflammatory cytokines and suppression of proinflammatory *** is also presence of increased gut permeability,reduced gut motility and altered gut flora,all of which leads to increased bacterial *** increased bacterial translocation and consequent endotoxemia leads to increased blood stream bacterial infections that cause systemic inflammatory response syndrome,sepsis,multiorgan failure and *** gut microbiota of cirrhotic patients has more pathogenic microbes than that of noncirrhotic individuals,and this disturbs the homeostasis and favors gut *** diagnosis and treatment of such infections are necessary for better *** have reviewed the various mechanisms of immune dysfunction and its consequences in *** the exact pathophysiology of immune dysfunction will help treating clinicians in avoiding its complications in their patients and can lead to newer therapeutic interventions and reducing the morbidity and mortality rates.

A low complexity online controller using fuzzy logic in energy harvesting WSNs

In this paper, we present a fuzzy logic based scheme for a two hop energy harvesting(EH)wireless sensor network(WSN). Incorporating data and energy causality constraints, discrete transmission rates, finite energy and data buffers, a fuzzy model is developed which uses network throughput, battery level and channel gain as inputs. The fuzzy scheme is then compared with optimum, modified optimum, and Markov decision process(MDP) schemes in terms of computational complexity, throughput, battery level and data buffer capacity. The throughput results show that the fuzzy online scheme preforms closely to the compared schemes and avoids battery depletion even when the number of discrete transmission rates are increased.

Impact of vitamin D on the hospitalization rate of Crohn's disease patients seen at a tertiary care center

AIM To study the association between vitamin D level and hospitalization rate in Crohn's disease(CD) *** We designed a retrospective cohort study using adult patients(> 19 years) with CD followed for at least one year at our inflammatory bowel disease center. Vitamin D levels were divided into: low mean vitamin D level(< 30 ng/m L) vs appropriate mean vitamin D level(30-100 ng/m L). Generalized Poisson Regression Models(GPR) for Rate Data were used to estimate partially adjusted and fully adjusted incidence rate ratios(IRR) of hospitalization among CD patients. We also examined IRRs for vitamin D level as a continuous *** Of the 880 CD patients, 196 patients with vitamin D level during the observation period were included. Partially adjusted model demonstrated that CD patients with a low mean vitamin D level were almost twice more likely to be admitted(IRR = 1.76, 95%CI: 1.38-2.24) compared to those with an appropriate vitamin D level. The fully adjusted model confirmed this association(IRR = 1.44, 95%CI: 1.11-1.87). Partially adjusted model with vitamin D level as a continuous variable demonstrated,higher mean vitamin D level was associated with a 3% lower likelihood of admission with every unit(ng/m L) rise in mean vitamin D level(IRR = 0.97, 95%CI: 0.96-0.98). The fully adjusted model confirmed this association(IRR = 0.98, 95%CI: 0.97-0.99). CONCLUSION Normal or adequate vitamin D stores may be protective in the clinical course of CD. However, this role needs to be further characterized and understood.

Integration of ID and 3D modeling schemes to establish the Farewell Formation as a self-sourced reservoir in Kupe Field, Taranaki Basin, New Zealand

Along with conventional methods,this paper proposed a method in which ID and 3D models are integrated to identify the self-sourced reservoir potential of the Farewell Formation in the Kupe Gas Field within the Taranaki Basin,New *** rock characteristics were evaluated at both field and basin scales by investigating source rock maturity,type of organic matter,and hydrocarbon generation potential by rock pyrolysis,using Rock-Eval 2 and *** ID thermal and burial history model established the rate of sedimentation and thermal history of the Kupe 4 *** characterization at field-scale was determined by seismic interpretation,well log analysis,and 3D structural and petrophysical *** sediments of the Farewell Formation contain types Ⅱ-Ⅲ(oil/gas prone)and type Ⅲ(gas prone)and have fair-to-excellent generation *** oxygen and hydrogen indices ranged from 3 to 476 mg C0_(2)/g TOC and 26 to 356 mg HC/g TOC,respectively,whereas the thermal maturity determined by vitrinite reflectance values ranged between 0.3%and 0.72%,indicating that the Farewell Formation is in immature-to-mature hydrocarbon generation ***,Farewell Formation was verified to be a good source ***,structural interpretations demonstrated the structural complexity of an extensional and contractional regime within the reservoir *** faults indicated a good reservoir property there with a trapping mechanism as well as migration paths.A well-log-based petrophysical analysis established the presence of up to 70%hydrocarbon saturation within the pore spaces of Farewell *** 3D models confirmed that the Farewell Formation has significant sand zones and hydrocarbon-saturated zones,thereby proving its very good reservoir *** has been proved that the ID and 3D structural schemes,integrated with geological techniques,was vital in identifying the Kupe Field as a self-sourced reservoir.
