The receiver is an important element in solar energy *** principal receiver’s tubes in power plants are devised to work under extremely severe conditions,including excessive heat *** of the tube’s circumference is heated whilst the other half is *** study aims to improve the heat transfer process and reinforce the tubes’structure by designing a new receiver;by including longitudinal fins of triangular,circular and square *** research is conducted experimentally using Reynolds numbers ranging from 28,000 to 78,*** fins have demonstrated the best improvement for heat *** Reynolds number value near 43,000 Nusselt number(Nu)is higher by 3.5%and 7.5%,sequentially,compared to circular and square tube fins,but varies up to 6.5%near Re=*** lowest friction factor is seen in a triangular fin receiver;where it deviates from circular fins by 4.6%,and square fin tubes by 3.2%.Adding fins makes the temperature decrease gradually,and in the case of no fins,the temperature gradient between the hot tube and water drops sharply in the planed tube by 7%.

Evaluation of Genotype × Environment Interaction in Rice Based on AMMI Model in Iran

Identification of high-yielding stable promising rice lines and determination of suitable areas for rice lines would be done by additive main effects and multiplicative interaction(AMMI) model. seven promising rice genotypes plus two check varieties shiroudi and 843 were analyzed using a randomized complete block design with three replications in three consecutive years(2012, 2013 and 2014). Homogenous error variance was indicated in the nine environments for grain yield. The combined analysis of variance indicated significant effects of environment, genotype and genotype × environment(GE) interactions on grain yield. The significant effect of GE interaction reflected on the differential response of genotypes in various environments and demonstrated that GE interaction had remarkable effect on genotypic performance in different environments. The application of AMMI model for partitioning the GE interaction effects showed that only the first two terms of AMMI were significant based on Gollob's Ftest. The lowest AMMI-1 was observed for G7, G2 and G6. G7 and G6 had higher grain yield. According to the first eigenvalue, which benefits only the first interaction principal component scores, G1, G6, G2 and G9 were the most stable genotypes. The values of the sum of first two interaction principal component scores could be useful in identifying genotype stability, and G6, G5 and G2 were the most dynamic stable genotypes. AMMI stability value introduced G6 as the most stable one. According to AMMI biplot view, G6 was high yielding and highly stable genotype. In conclusion, this study revealed that GE interactions were an important source of rice yield variation, and its AMMI biplots were forceful for visualizing the response of genotypes to environments.

Chronic hepatitis B virus(CHB)infection affects approximately 250 million persons worldwide(1).CHB is a major risk factor for liver failure,cirrhosis,and hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC),accounting for 45-55%of HCC cases(1).The incidence rates of HCC among CHB patients are 0.02-0.2 per 100 person-years in inactive carriers,0.3-0.6 per 100 person-years in those without cirrhosis,and 2.2-3.7 per 100 person-years for those with compensated cirrhosis(2).

Plant secondary metabolites play vital role in plant stress response. In this study we investigated whether root colonization of tomato （solanum lycopersicum） infected by Trichoderma harzianum leads to alterations in the biosynthesis of secondary plant metabolites including phytohormones and osmolyte proline under drought stress. Exposure of tomato to drought caused a drastic decline in plant growth and physiological parameters. Tomato inoculated with T. harzianum showed increased root and shoot growth and chlorophyll pigments as compared to uninoculated controls as well as drought stressed plants. Proline and total soluble protein content was increased in plants inoculated with T. harzianum under both normal as well as drought conditions. An obvious increase in phenol and flavonoid content was observed due to T. haczianum. In addition, T. hat-zianum inoculated plants maintained higher levels of growth regulators indole acetic acid, indole butyric acid, and gibberellic acid under drought stress. Improved secondary metabolites which play an important role in plant stress tolerance by T. hat-zianum may have coordinately worked for bringing the growth regulation by protecting membranes from reactive oxygen species （ROs） and enhance plant growth through accessing more nutrients by root system.
